I never knew how important Mal was until reading an interview with Angus after his passing. Angus gave his bro a big nod for being creative and focused. He had tons of material and skeletons of songs in his possession when Angus discovered them after Mal's death.
The only show I ever heard louder than AC/DC was BB King outdoors at the then Sleeptrain Amphitheater, but it was outdoors. AC/DC at the Oakland Arena during the Black Ice tour is responsible for permanent tinnitus in my left ear. I was totally deaf in that ear for 2 days after that show. Totally worth it.
The music video was filmed at the Brixton Academy a famous London venue. All the scaffolding you see the crowd standing on was obviously erected for the shoot.
They sound like this and move around like this in person. Not sure about now, they are fairly old. I saw them 1989 the first time. Everyone in the place knew every song. Best large concert I've ever been too before and after.
This concert was at River Platte Stadium in Argentina. This particular night doesn’t give you a true idea of the amount of people. Another night, Angus plays a Black guitar. That shows the craziness! 3 nights, sold out!
One more comment because I can’t help answering you questions. I’ve been to 9 of theirs concerts. My first one was in San Antonio TX in 1976 at the old The Municipal Auditorium (3000 ppl capacity and a lot of weed smoking for a 15 year old) durning their High Voltage tour. First American tour ever. Bonn Scott singing and Being the charismatic that he was in his short life. RIP This shit just never gets old hombre. 🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🥳🥳
See you read their history and that's really cool that u know the story behind the music. Please check out Whole Lotta Rosie at The River Platte 2009!!
Love your reaction to this. Some of us have been rocking to AC/DC since the 70s, even today. And we are now in our 50s, 60s and 70s but we can still rock the house just like you see in this video. Welcome to the party.
Just a point of clarification Malcolm Young the brother of Angus Young the lead guitarist was the Rhythm guitarist and not the bass player. So says Austin Tx!!!!
@@Reactionsbyalex I hear you hombre. Learning a new type of music and what is what takes a while to figure out!!!!! I’m just proud you are willing to try!!!!😍😍😍 That’s more than most ppl would do!!!! Lovin' the channel. Grew up on Classic Rock and Metal, and love the research/trivia, and the honest reactions. Thunderstruck is just one of those songs that you can't help but start nodding your head and smiling. Some other great songs you can't go wrong with are Boston's "More Than A Feeling", Scorpions "Rock You Like a Hurricane", Living Colour "Cult of Personality" and Rage Against the Machine "Bulls on Parade".
ZZ top. Classic old bluesrock from the South. I am not from the US and I am not sure I am correct, but I have never found anything racist in their songs. Pure older bluesrock, among the best that is out there.

All of the people in the audience were given a White AC/DC Shirt that said “ I was Thunderstruck” in the back. It may be worth thousands of dollars today.
Great stuff! I can't get enough of this vid, Malcolm's part is SO right on...intricate and counter-rhythmic to Angus's...and uber consistent. I'm in awe of musicians like that ( I play tuba and am hypersensitive to rhythm and "lining up"). In this vein, a way cool group for you to check out is Tower of Power...start anywhere you want but "Squib Cakes" and "What is Hip" are phenomenal, and just for fun "Down to the Nightclub" for dessert. These guys line-up like no other.
You are gonna love these guys, but Malcolm was the Rhythm guitarist. They haven't announced their retirement, they toured right up until COVID hit, so who knows. Try some Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, Queen as well
Bad Boy Boogie by AC/DC is a live video you really need to check out. I started listening to this band in 1975 and got to see them live twice in 1977. Great memories
Here is a list that you should try: -Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre -Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) -TNT (Live at River Plate) -Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - The Jack Live at River Plate - Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - Thunderstruck - Live at River Plate or Donington

ACDC is definitely best tasted live!!!! If you got the chops do the song “Let There Be Rock” from the River Plate concerts in 2009. Angus does damn near 18 minutes of kicking ass guitar work and a solo in the air. Granted it is a longer video than most to get by the censors but the time flys and it probably is the greatest performance of all time. You won’t be disappointed!!!! You might as well get exposed to them at their finest🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just saying!!!! So says Austin Tx. 😎🍸
Outstanding reactions and insights. I am now subscribed and looking forward to watching more of your reactions. My recommendation is to react to Stevie Ray Vaughn. Many say the best blues/rock guitarist ever. I will forward a couple recommended links in a different post. Again, thanks
Hi ReAlex - I'm really enjoying your reactions and discovery of this music. I recommend you have a listen to Deep Purple - 'Highway Star' and 'Child In Time' .. then 'Burn' and then 'Woman from Tokyo' and then 'Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming'. That will give you good travel through time.
Are you doing a first time reaction to this song or educating us on the history of it? I'm confused. Off the bat, it comes across like you know more about this song than anyone else, hahah. Which I'm not questioning. However, makes me wonder if you've heard it before or just went on Wikipedia and then decided to tell us all what it says lol. Cheers.
Only problem is Malcolm was not the bass player he was the rhythm guitar
Malcolm Young wasn't the Bass player. Malcolm played Rhythm guitar. He was the backbone, the nerve center of the band. Cliff was the Bass player.
I never knew how important Mal was until reading an interview with Angus after his passing. Angus gave his bro a big nod for being creative and focused. He had tons of material and skeletons of songs in his possession when Angus discovered them after Mal's death.
Check them out, live at River Plate in 2009! One of the best live performances, that I have ever seen.
This was how bands "Dropped New " songs this was a video for "Much Music" In the 80"s
I like the quick introduction and history of the songs you react to. It definitely sets you apart from the others. Keep it up!

Venue is the legendary Brixton academy. THE BEST venue in London.
Many hockey teams play the beginning of this song when they first hit the ice to warm-up before the game starts. It gets the crowd amped up.
