Nice job! To clean up cut lines, it's often useful to have a letter-sized piece of wood with a glued-on sheet of sanding paper so you can quickly sand stuff flush and even.
Andy Mecha forgive for me I have sinned. I watched only a few vedios and diddnt comeback for a time. Watching this today I realized the talent and creativity i've missed. Thank you for bestowing your vedios to us, the unworthy.
Your ingenuity is outstanding, you've given me so many ideas by just showing how to work with a plain old spoon. I cant imagine whats to come! Keep on bashing!
Andy what a great robot build I definitely like what you did with this one. Definitely some awesome use of all the items you worked with. Very cool indeed!
used a scented oil mister unit to hold tricky superglue joins over as a 'third hand', the moisture plumes cure it pretty quick, and you have the bonus of posh pongs.
@@AndyMecha do not use the drill motor to make the chuck tighten up. Use your hand 100% to do it. If it grabs your hand as you are tightening the chuck with the drill power, it can leave you with a nasty cut
Awesome bot build Andy, I think this is your best yet I've seen! Also, I love the look the rivets add to this. I see now how you get the edge detail on your spoons, never though to use a candle. Brilliant!! FYI - You can keep some articulation in the hip joints if you glue the bottle cap on top of the ball. (Which I think comes from an old analog mouse. Right??) If the ball is a tight, but movable fit under the bottle cap, then it would allow you to pose the legs after assembly. Just a thought. Great stuff, thanks for sharing, and keep on keeping on!!
Thanks, this is one of my favourites, Big Elvis. That's a great idea for articulation that could work really well. Oh and the balls for the joints are baking beads, I found in my kitchen cupboard. 👍😎
Awesome looking! Great job! A tip I heard somewhere when sanding down stuff like sculpey: if you add just a little water to the sanding paper, it will hinder the fine dust particles from spreading across the room and into your lungs :) EDIT: Can I ask where you got that valve for the opening of the mech? I need it! :)
Oh yeah, the valve is a wheel from a toy car trimmed down with a knife. If you want to check out my spray bottle scratch build tutorial I explain it about 12mins in. 😁👍
Thank you 😁 unfortunately this guy is not posable. I have been experimenting with magnets and ball joints to try and include articulation in future builds.
Nice job!

Very cool. I especially like your himges.😮
Good ol ping pong balls! Good job mate
Thank you Bill, i wouldn't have dreamed of using any of this stuff before your channel. Good ol Bill 😎
Aaah, how sweet. I can almost feel the love between two of my favorite makers. 💞 Either that or the glue fumes are getting to me again. 🤤
Absurd man! Absurd! Great!
😜Thank you man, molto apprezzato.

That is just fantastic , great job using the handles from plastic spoons to build articulated arms and legs .... fantastic looking Mech 👌 👏 👍
Thanks Jerry, I'm still working on better ways to articulate bots. 😁👍

Well done bro💯👌👍👍
Great Paint job

Those leg constructs are genius , I’m stealing those for a build :D

😅 Your very welcome, thanks for the high praise. If you haven't tried, you should give it a go, you might surprise yourself. 🤖👍

The plastic covers on LED light bulbs work great for this as well.👍
Awesome idea man, sometimes building materials come from the weirdest places. 😎
These mech builds are all brilliant but I think this one is my favorite out of the 4.
Thanks for sharing. Lots of great ideas.
absolutely brilliant! Please keep posting builds!
Thanks, I not stopping any time soon. 😁👍
Ingenious
Thanks 😁👍
Brilliant build ! Such a nice step by step timelapse !
Thanks, it sparks creativity in my brain !
Nice one, that's good to hear and thank you. 😎 Give me a shout on Instagram if you post any builds.

Andy what a great robot build I definitely like what you did with this one. Definitely some awesome use of all the items you worked with. Very cool indeed!
Thanks man, Big Elvis is still one of my favourite builds. Definitely need to build an upgraded version.
Excellent :)
Cheers 👍
This came out fantastic. Using simple shapes to create a complex looking mech. Love how the arms and legs were built.
Cheers, Big Elvis is definitely one of my favourites, 👍
Would have been nice to see you painting it.
Sorry about that Jules. I have some other painting vids if you want to check those out. 😁
Wow what an awesome build Andy, great job 😎
Cheers man, I'm really happy with how he turned out😎

Dope
I see you are a really fast sander like me. Bzzt
Oh yeah, learning from the pros. Just need to be careful you don't set off the fire alarm. 🔥
Ever try a stepping bit. They work great
I've seen those step bits. Never tried one I'll have to get my hands on one.

Awessome
It looks real good! I can totally imagine this walker around a waste land with weapons in hand 👁👁👌
Thanks man, that's the look I was going for but he's not allowed weapons in the house. Safety first. 😁
Loving your work dude, can really see the improvement in your work and your videos the more content you make. Keep it up!!!!
Thanks man, still learning everyday.😎
What Color. Of Grren did you us
And what did use to paintvthe Mechanical
Arms Andy Mc Mecha
Thanks George, I think the green is fern green and I used metallic blue on the arms.
Cool stuff. Wish I had a third hand for applying accelerator.
😂Thanks, it's very handy to have.
cool build and i like how you used so much recycled materials :)
Thanks, I just used whatever I can get my hands on. 😁👍
This is an awesome build. Saw your shout out on T-Nu's channel and came over. You should make some characters from Machinarium some day!
Nice one, thanks for having a look. I just googled machinarium, ☺️ those wee bots would definitely be a good build, that's one in the notebook. 👌👍
You talkin T-nu from Cajun Craftastrophe channel?
That's the one, fantastic channel. 😎
@@AndyMecha Agreed!
Great Video 👍
What is that white powder?
Baking soda?
Oh yeah just baking soda. Thank you 😎👍

💯
Genial
What is the pink handle tool you used when doing thr rivets?
I think it's called a gem applicator tool. It has a small hollow tip that the gem fits into I just dab it on my tongue so the gem sticks.
Awesome looking! Great job! A tip I heard somewhere when sanding down stuff like sculpey: if you add just a little water to the sanding paper, it will hinder the fine dust particles from spreading across the room and into your lungs :)
EDIT: Can I ask where you got that valve for the opening of the mech? I need it! :)
Thanks, that's an awesome tip, saves my lungs and since I craft in my living room it'll keep the dust down. 👌👍
Oh yeah, the valve is a wheel from a toy car trimmed down with a knife. If you want to check out my spray bottle scratch build tutorial I explain it about 12mins in. 😁👍
These are dope - you have an Instagram page I could follow?
Thank you😎🤙 oh yeah, instagram @andy_mccarter.
Nice 😍😍 is it posable?
Thank you 😁 unfortunately this guy is not posable. I have been experimenting with magnets and ball joints to try and include articulation in future builds.
@@AndyMecha but i saw this build is posable in one of your short 🤔 but it doesn't matter it's cool. I need to try to make one 😁
What is your rivet applicator?
It came with a gem art kit. If you search ebay for gem applicators it should pop up. 👍
What Brand 9f painyvyou use
Hi George, it's just cheap acrylic paint brand is deco art. I show some of the bottles in my painting vids.
where do you buy the spoons
I buy them from the pound shop or other discount shops. Sometimes even the supermarkets have them.
what is that powder you apply at 7:19?
That's baking powder, it cures the glue instantly and gives a stronger bond. 👍
@@AndyMecha 😱😱😱😱😱 really? This is very cool. Thank'u!
Very cool
