I'm a Dhoni fan but can't accept he was a good captain in Test. 4-0 loss to England, 4-0 to Australia and England defeated India 2-1 at home. Don't think anyone would have been allowed captaincy after that if it wasn't for N Srinivasan

Sorry uncle if I defied your logic somehow. I'm from the same school and locality as Dhoni. We were already excited for the prospect of seeing him in India colours right when he played Ranji and thrashed Pak A 11 sixes in the final played in Kenya. I acknowledge and have huge respect for him for his white ball exploits. But alas, people of my generation weren't blind supporters and are ardent fans of ICT.
His test series victory in NZ was remarkable but he doesn't have much to flaunt in SA, ENG or Aus.
If you watched tests in that era to be honest he was a defensive captain. Best of the lot in tests were Sourav and Virat.
