Total guess: Characters in this region will have special animations when they use the traversal animals we saw in the previous teaser, similar to how fontaine characters get the special dolphin jump while swimming. That's what we're seeing in the video.
I think Natlan will have 6 units who's skills are just the animals we can morph into. So it's more convenient to use them anywhere, can use them outside Natlan, and Hoyo can sell the best traversal units

i think the only way to powercreep neuvillette is if the dps can also heal himself while also dealing bigger numbers than him. I wouldn't mind if her damage ceiling is higher, Al and Arle surpassed neuvillette there..

@@usmanya5110 True, both their styles are very different from Neuv. Alhaitham needs other elements to bring out his max power, and Arlecchino is risky without a shield. But this new unit seems like a different version of Neuvillete, just using normal attacks instead of charged attacks.

Neuvillette sold poorly worldwide on his rerun, won’t be surprised if gets powercrept. He’s not making money in any future reruns. As a matter of fact, Furina/Sigewinne is currently selling even worse lol
Dendro claymore is easy to guess: He's gonna be plunge DPS. Think about it, he's flying through the air between glowing points that look very similar to the flying carp points in Chenyu Vale, so I'm taking that and running with it for the idea that his skill is gonna be similar to Chiori, teleport high in the air so you can plunge, or maybe a teleport like Keqing, or just straight up jump like Kazuha, the options are there.
Now for how Dendro comes into the picture, if he's gonna be on field DPS then the easiest way to get it in the picture is infusion. Just like Navia gets to slap people with Geo attacks for a few seconds after a shotgun blast, maybe our dude teleports high in the air and slams down with dendro, creating a dendro shockwave for the main effect of the skill, and the next few attacks are dendro infused.
This is also massive guessing on my part so take it with a pinch of salt.
Hmm I don't see it, Alhatham has that plunge already...so another 5 star with the same element and same fighting style would be farfetched

I could see him as a Spiderman-type plunge attack character.
It'd be one way to get his exploration mode into combat...
Even better if you can attach it to an enemy and pull (light mobs to you, heavy mobs you go to it) into an attack.

Some ideas for Geo
Geo+Pyro=Lava(slows down, constant pyro Damage over Time)
Geo+Anemo=Dust(stagger, geo damage)
Geo+Dendro=Roots(acts as grappling hook, pulls enemies to char and knocks them down or pulls char to heavy enemies, geo damage + dendro DoT).
These are some great ideas...new reactions would definitely change the meta

Yeah they all could be either, but based on previous trends it seems most likely there are going to be two 5 stars and one 4 star. Dendro guy is obviously 5 star based on the weapon, and of the two girls I think the chibi is more likely to be 4 star. Sigewinne just released and 5 star chibis are historically rare, plus the hydro girl's traversal ability is notably flashier.

I find the inclusion of tan lines in the Hydro girl’s design rather interesting. It does seem a little odd, though, as if we are to understand that whenever she is offscreen, she must be wearing something else. I wonder if they will eventually introduce a skin for her that matches the tan lines.

i would love to see her hydro claymore user that uses charged attacks to create vortexes like sharknados, combining grouping and dps. she could pair really well with the ferrous shadow 3-star claymore if she consumed her hp as she spun.

Not gonna happen anytime soon. Neuv + furina synergy is hard to powercreep. Add the fact that neuv deals AoE dmge, easy to use, no need for grouping, best C1 DPS constellation, and the fact that he's hydro which opens a lot of potential reactions. New hydro 5* needs to beat all of that to powercreep neuv 😅

@DefinitelyNotAFerret not really, they can make a universal buffer that doesn't need a healer and instead can be a dps, that alone would put said chara above furina. And furina kind of needs a team wide healer to be useful
I think i said this before regarding geo reactions. If geo were to get a revamp we could get new reactions like geo + pyro = molten to shred shields, geo + electro = magnetic, geo + dendro = fortified or strengthen, geo + hydro = muddied that slow enemies, etc. But alas, Navia is proof enough that there will never be a change to that.
A geo Nilou is possible, but clearly not a priority.
I really hope that the geo girl is a healer. That would actually make her pretty good for mono geo + Furina teams.

-On field dps? He's gonna have serious competition like Tighnari in quicken teams and Alhaitham everywhere else.
- A nuke dps? but dendro isn't really an element like that since it's more for sustained damage than one big nuke.
-Support/Sub-DPS? i wonder what he could be? i'm not sure about the bloom based reactions as i think Pyro and Electro characters would fit more as hyperbloom or burgeon centered supports. A quicken support seems interesting especially for aggravate cyno.

I think he will have high survivability to be the best choice because burning and bloom can just kill your characters so fast.
That's why I find Emilie is not a complete characters for burning, she doesn't offers survivability.

@@emiliorafaeldiamante260 Hoyo learned from their mistake on Dendro traveler. Having a good traveler of an element means you don't need to buy other units.
Like DMC made me skip building any other dendro for awhile, and almost made me not get Nahida. He's so good on multi-wave combat when you have hydro buff to extend the range. If it weren't for Nahida being just so broken, Dmc would be fine for most people. Like imagine a cryo version of dmc for forward melt teams. Not have to make do with just Rosalia or Kaeya as your cryo applier would be so good. Or mix with Neuv for insane AoE freeze.

Heard it's called Nightflow State and Genshin accidently put it in Imaginarium theater text in 4.8 beta and no available characters with that specific state so it's probably for 5.0 Imaginarium Theater
I don't think she'll powercreep Neuvillette.
She may have higher damage ceiling like Arlecchino (which i really doubt as we've never heard of her in the lore) or she may have some ability which will make her super useful in the meta.
Other than Xbalanque, I don't think anyone will powercreep Neuvillette as a main DPS in Natlan.

The guy is obviously just another on-field DPS. Hoyo just seem to make all male characters onfield DPS now. It's seriously been over a year since we got any male off-field characters in Mika and Baizhu, and before those 2, you have to go all the way back to Gorou and Thoma in 2021.
makes sense, since female characters have more revenue than male ones, the males have to be stronger kitwise, so they have 2 options, making them onfield dps or broken off field/buffer
@@vldk1OOOOOO They're gonna reach a saturation point at this rate if they keep going the onfield DPS route though. Unless, of course, they just really ramp up the power creep in every new DPS character, since there's only so many onfield DPS that the average player needs. It also doesn't really explain why they do it with 4 stars as well though, most people don't really spend for 4 stars anyway, so why waste so much time develoing so many onfield DPS 4 stars that a lot of players are just never going to touch?

Her name is rumored to be Mualani and her ethnicity is inspired by Hawaiians! Apparently Mualani (also called Muolani or simply Mua and lani means "heaven/sky" in Hawaiian) in real life was a Hawaiian High Chiefess who lived on the island of Oahu and was a Princess of Koʻolau. I would LOVE IT if she is indeed the princess of the water tribe in Natlan!

I wonder if they're going to lean in fully to the Pokemon comparisons, and maybe they are all 4 stars but you can pick your starter for the region? Sans the Geo girl the other two do fit elementally lol. I know you pointed out the signature weapon on the Dendro boy as a sign he would be a 5 star but maybe that weapon is apart of a new 4-star weapon series or may even be a craftable?
No matter whether she powercreeps Nuevelette or not, she is way too cute than most of the previous characters!
for the hydro character :
i imagine her well as support, with a big buff of attack speed, like +70% ; and a very strong hydro application off field ; but low personal damage.
considering we just got emillie, the dendro guy is prolly some kinda of dps that deals more damage to burning enemies or something like that

That'd be too redundant. Emilie doesn't even buff burning, she just wants it active. The dendro dps will do fine in a burning team, but he won't require it.
That'd be like if they released an on-field Chevruse instead of just creating Arleccino & Chlorinde after her. After Nilou came Nahida and Alhaitham. They work on the teams, but do not require them.

Warning: the rest of my comment will be talking about some leaks, so if you dont want that, dont read further.
The short girl is a geo four star, the other two is dendro claymore, and hydro catalyst dps, not sure if the geo four weapon is, but yeah. both of the taller characters are five star dps' according to leaks currently.
Rn the geo chara is a polearm user iirc
The 4* star geo could be a budget Zhongli-like shielder, like a Geo Layla that generates extra crystalize shards and slightly buffs attack while shielded. Would be great for Navia
EM-scaling hydro with reaction buffs in her kit could potentially be pretty interesting, with basically no Neuv. crossover except vape.

It is about time that they introduce geo/dendro reactions. Still figuring out how a straight dendro/geo would work, but a dendro/geo + hydro can be some sort of "growth" reaction. That reaction can be a debuff reaction that can do something along the lines of slowing, grouping, or even something even more fun of adding a 4-element reaction by tossing in pyro/electro for enhanced burning or aggravate/spread/quicken effects.
Dendro/geo could possibly be a dendro or geo "swirl" reaction, where the reaction will spread one or both of the elements into an AoE putting one or both elements on surrounding enemies. Basically enabling AoE abilities for single-target units if in the right teams. For example, say you hit an enemy with Kirara's neko package box she runs around in. You can then pull out Navia and blast that enemy and it will spread dendro to other enemies around it. This will make geo "reactions" with other elements also much more interesting. Think such as stacking EM on Ningguang to send AoE dendro out to spread a burning reaction with Ningguang effectively being the dendro "applier" with the EM from her enhancing the burning damage.
Dendro/cryo? I've got nothing. No ideas yet on how that could work. Haven't had any ideas yet on how those 2 elements could possibly interact in a way that also makes logical sense (such as cryo+electro being superconduct, since cold = greater conductivity in reality)
the hydro girl could be a bow user because in every X.0 version, a five star bow user is released (Venti,Yoimiya,Tighnari,Lyney) so one possibility could be that she focuses on charged attacks
im hoping she doesn't become mid tho
that geo child will probably become another healer because she's a CHILD

Just some random thing I’ve been thinking of, but these 3 characters r clearly based/related to the creatures we saw in the last natlan teaser. We were shown 3 out of 6 of them, and they seem to be based on an element. There’s 7 elements in the game, so I’m wondering which one wouldn’t be included

Both x.0 and x.1 always have dps units as the new characters
x.2 is always the archon which is support x.3 is whatever, x.4 lantern rite , then 1-2 of x.5-7 are filler with the others being wind bloom and mostadt/hexinzicle lore and the other being dain quest

@Forakus stop being dense asf, natlan is based on latin america & the majority of ppl who make those countries up are not pasty white. we're four years into genshin, there's no reason we cant have a decent amount of darker skinned characters to represent the countries hoyo wants to take inspo from, esp since they can make the enemies that skin tone perfectly fine🥴
Hoyo probably had reached maximum numbers of dark skin characters allowed by their government in game.

Maybe he could debuff an enemy that has two elements on them for a long period of time? That way he could buff geo/dendro and cryo/dendro reactions. Maybe the longer the enemy has two elements on them the more debuff they get?

The boy is 100% Dendro. Just found the right screenshot where his vision was visible on his leg. His wristband threw me off for a minute being anemo teal colored.
Also it’s likely the 4 star will be free for players but of course the 5 stars would not be.
The new dendro claymore character would be cool if he gets dendro infusion from his burst and that it allows him to greatly shorten the cooldown on his E Skill tether.
I think that his E skill will be like how spiderman uses his webs and will use the dendro tether to connect to the enemy and move himself there, hitting nearby enemies and deals damage on that tethered enemy. I honestly think he will work in burning where if he is in a burning state, he attacks faster and deals more damage. It would work well with his combat style of getting in close to the enemy and provide an interesting gameplay style that hasnt been explored yet with burning reaction.
I can imagine to get into burning state easier, he will get a talent that if an enemy is burning, his E skill will apply pyro directly from that burning enemy to himself. That way when he goes into burst, he gets dendro infusion and applies self dendro. Then tether to a burning enemy, gets the pyro appkied to himself to get unto burning. Then get the buffs from the burning state.
Her design screams DPS. If she were a shielder, her riding a shark may not be a fitting choice, but a turtle would seem more like it
The dendro claymore boii is surely gonna be a main dps, together with Alhai and Tighnari. As for the skill, pretty sure it's like the carp in Chenyu or dendro rope in Sumeru. He's great for explo if that's the case. As for the team synergy, nah I don't have a solid guess.
I also hope the geo polearm kid is a healer, for Navia double geo comp with Furina so you won't need Xianyun/Jean for that.
I don't care for that hydro girl. I'm tired of seeing another 5* hydro that will move the meta.

Hydro girl seems most likely a single target dps. I know leeks say she uses a catalyst but she looks like she should be using a spear tbh

To be fair, we haven't gotten a hydro burst-damage dps since version 1.1, and a lot of people don't like Tartaglia's jank.
They wouldn't even need to powercreep him, just make a unit that's more forgiving to play but still has respectable damage.

I'm not interested in any vape-related character personally. It's just a niche that's available. And yes, we have plenty of hydro supports. That's why a hydro dps isn't a problem. We need more pyro supports too, agreed. Part of why I dislike pyro.

In patch 3.0 and 4.0 we got 1 five star 2 four stars and the traveler so I assume there will only be one five star here as well. Also Emilie gets buffed by burning so burning still doesnt do damage its just her doing the damage just so everyone knows and doesnt stack EM on her

I think when you are talking about the dendro claymore seeming to be geo, you may picking up on Aztec/Mesoamerican/etc. design influences as they tend to have angular, square-shaped designs :)) Which kind of makes me think they were not intending for him to create new geo reactions.

Why do i feel that the shark girl will be the first hated OP character? Like, hated not for being terrible, but rather for being way too good.
people now are hating on neuvillette cause he's way too good for a main dps. yeah his ceiling is lower compared to Al or Arle but being able to solo abyss while also sustaining himself is just nuts and also being able to slot in with anyone.
Ha no. Everyone hates at least one character. A few people I know along with myself absolutely despise Bennett, Xiangling, Xinqiu, and maybe even Fischl.

Im excited for shark girl. Thankfully I have every 5 star in the next patch and I’m not the biggest fan of Emilie so I can save up for her.
I hope the geo girl has a talent where she heals the active character whenever a crystallize reaction happens or when you pick up the orb.
As for the dendro guy, he looks good but if he’s just a on field dps I’m gonna skip him. If he brings something interesting to the table I’m gonna pull for sure because his design is really nice.
