Caitlin was NOT throwing the ball away. Her teammates didn't know how to handle NBA quality passes. Well, during the Olympic break they practiced catching her passes, so they've easily won since then!
They needed to understand that her passes will not always come straight to them but to where they will/should be.... which is also where they would get their best shot/opportunities. They are much better now!!
You got that right with all the previous athletes in professional sports ever, and this has them all, the crime of the Century, way to go C.C. you knock it out of the galaxy!!!!
Caitlin brought a ton of Filthy Casuals (myself included) to the WNBA. Ratings up, ticket sales up, merch sales up, Fever's up, league profile's up. One might conclude that's pretty VALUABLE.
Caitlyn done the WNBA good with a ton of talent with her and improving her team, breaking records, and getting everyone involved jelling; watch out for the "FEVER" in the "playoffs" now.
But she's not a card holder! She doesn't look or act like them...way too much class! Have you heard these women speak? I've turned them off several times. I'm here for CC.
@@dwayneyambra1865But the person with the "most points scored or assisted" should be in the MVP discussion, and Clark is usually 1st or 2nd in that category.

With every game that goes by, Caitlin Clark will only get better, breaking every record she hasn't broken yet, mastering her game to utter perfection, sharpening her 3 point dime dropping shots, passing assists, inside lay ups, mid-range drop shots, and cutting down on turnovers, as her team mates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, Katie Lou Samuelson and Lexi Hull become more and more in sync with Caitlin Clark's timing, game making plays, passing assists, and rapid pace. After a well deserved rest in the mid-season Olympic break, Caitlin Clark is like a bullet train steamrolling everyone in her way to the post season play-offs, as evident in Caitlin Clark - Indiana Fever's demolishing of the Phoenix Mercury-Diana Taurasi in an uncontested 98 to 89 victory, at one point leading by 31 points in the first half. In the game against Seattle Storm, Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, Lexi Hull, Katie Lou Samuelson, Dimiris Dantas, Erica Wheeler, etc are all upping their game to Caitlin Clark's level of play, becoming more in-sync with Caitlin Clark's fast pace offense, their chemistry is gelling, their confidence is solidifying, which means bad news for the rest of the WNBA ! Not to mention, Caitlin Clark in the game broke all time rookie Assists record held by Ticha Penicheiro, that will continmue to be added on til the end of the season making nearly out of reach to be broken again. The Indiana Fever because of Caitlin Clark is a dominant force to be reckoned with, are coming after you and are going to run you over like a freight train on the way to the play-offs, championship title game ! Caitlin Clark is undeniably the ROTY, but most esp MVP by virtue of her impact on the Indiana Fever, dragging it's sorry last place asset out of the gutter rankings for the last 8 years, and into play-off contention, possibly even making it to championship title game, and here's the MVP clincher : all done with having the worst coach in WNBA history !
A'ja has better stats than Caitlin other than assists!!! Points, rebounds, blocks. Another thing, A'ja plays defense where Caitlin has no idea what it is.
@@dwayneyambra1865 Hmm.. Stats.. Is that all you have .. Stats don't make you a better player, let alone great. Dan Patrick Show | NBC Sports ruclips.net/video/acW1CHq94T8/видео.html Dan says "Aja Wilson has been playing great basketball for quite some time, it's just now people are starting to recognize her" .. Well, duh, why do you think that is .. because of Caitlin Clark, the mass appeal of Caitlin Clark has drawn in millions more fans, viewership eyes, whereas before Caitlin Clark, nobody, and I mean nobody cared 1 iota about the WNBA.. ala Aja who ? Kelsey who ? .. Diana who ? .. which was exactly what I said having never even heard of Aja, never even seen a WNBA game before Caitlin Clark Caitlin Clark is a 3 dimensional transformational generational player who has literally revolutionized WNBA Women's Basketball to a new level, rewriting the records books with every game she plays, as the leader on the court making the plays, reads the defense, determines the best play to score and executes, passing the ball with expert precision leading the league in assists, driving the pace makes her teammates even better, upping their game without even realizing it is the true measure of greatness, is without a doubt the WNBA League's ROTY and MVP, the greatest woman's basketball player of all time - in my humble opinion.. which is why the WNBA old guard elites hates CC, because it means that their basketball talent and skill is not what they think it is in whatever capacity measurement they choose, in comparison to Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark is doing what Tiger Woods did for Golf. Tiger Woods being the most iconic prolific Golfing sensation in PGA history. Tiger Woods transcended Golf, as did Michael Jordan for the NBA. This is who Caitlin is on the same level with, not Aja Wilson.
I'm in Papua New Guinea and most of us never heard of the WNBA till Caitlin started going viral. She has to get some type of award even if it be the MVP. She's definitely my MVP❤
I agree. The stat currently most in her favor is the "most points scored or assisted" stat. She's been leading THE LEAGUE in this stat of late. AS A ROOKIE!! IF the league actually bases this award on merit, I think that stat is clearly in her favor. The argument would be that she affects the outcome of any game she is in much more than any other player does (in any given game). Amazing.
@Genghistron-K EXACTLY!!! The clowns that run the WNBA circus would say, "yes, that's great, but it's just not your time, Caitlin." And there'd be some former has been, Sheryl Poops, in the background heard vaguely muttering... "back in my day we just took chemo & aspirin",.... "I just don't understand what all the fuss is about".
Caitlin Clark is my goat!! Riding til the wheels fall off, but hell would freeze over before she wins mvp, they wouldn't let it happen no matter what she does.
MVP race...if the criteria is for the most individual points scored: It's Aja Wilson. If the criteria is the total impact on a team, total points/ ast responsible for: It's Caitlin Clark. Total impact on entire league...it's Clack.
You are the most reasonable RUclipsr. I always wait for your shorts and your view on CC. And i agree, WNBA will not give CC the ROY and MVP. The Media and the Vets hates what they see and do not want to admit, this is the first time they've experience and see for themselves such "frenzy" over a player.
In the beginning of the season, Caitlin's teammates were dropping a lot of passes and Caitlin got the turnovers for it. That's still happening, but not nearly as much as it happened early on.
The name of the game is get more points than your opponents. Caitlin is generating more points than anyone in the league with points and assists so yes she deserves being in the conversation. Unfortunately people are not objective anymore.
CC for MVP, she changes her teammates' game , now they play ball because of her playing style , she lifted her team, and she is the most VALUABLE player ,
@@Deuce1042 Yes Clark has already broke records as a Rookie. Clark is 2nd in MVP votes & she will win ROTY. Without Clark that Fever team would not be in 7th rank. 😏
That's what I say. Since we are dealing with women we have to break it down to them what is the MVP award. (M) Most (V) valuable (P) player. Above and beyond for their team, changed the course of the league with their play on and off the court, and took a non playoff team to the playoffs by herself and making everyone around her reach their own potential. AJ is a boring kid who like her champagne cold and her fans zombies
Most Valuable Player is not the one scoring the most points. Its the one making the highest contribution to the team and leading by example. My best shooter had the most team assists, because the opposition were being man in your face or double marked out of the game, leaving a teammate unmarked. When they did drop off, game changed.
The Aces without A'Ja are an average team at best she pulls that team along on her back and is the MVP for that team without a doubt. CC is very crucial to the Fever but without Boston and Mitchell CC would have nobody to dump the ball to and the team would be horrible.
The Aces without Gray was sad. A'ja is a great player but cannot help her team as much a Clark does for the Fever. MVP is supposed to be who is the most valuable player for the team. When did we just start piking the highest scorer or best rebounder? Nobody has done a better job of making the team better than Clark.
MVP race...if the criteria is for the most individual points scored: It's Aja Wilson. If the criteria is the total impact on a team, total points/ ast responsible for: It's Caitlin Clark. Total impact on entire league...it's Clack.
I'm 53 and don't watch sports, but I watch Fever games. It was like that with Michael Jordon, Mike Tyson, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods and now Caitlin Clark. That's five times in five decades. Very few sports athletes can draw me in, but Clark is one of them.
Spot on, short, sweet, true and to the point. No matter what she does, she will not be awarded the MVP trophy. She is THE, no doubt, Rookie of the Year, but it's not a sure thing that she will be awarded that honor either. Politics, and media.
I think it reasonable for CC to be in the conversation given the impact she's had on her team. She's not just carrying her team, she's lifting them to a higher level. And the attention she has brought to the league can't be dismissed. I for one haven't watched basketball (men's or women's) in probably 20 years, it just wasn't fun to watch for me anymore after those mid 80s to mid 90s players left the league, and I had no interest in returning to it. But Caitlin Clark just has something makes the game fun and interesting to watch again. ROTY? Absolutely. As for MVP... I think it's best to just wait and see how the rest of the season plays out.
The MVP award should not be about personal records. It's about a players impact on the teams performance. What was the Fevers record in 2023 and where are they now with the addition of Clark? Now do that for the Sky and see if Reese's addition did as much.
I think that there ought to be an independent group, with no skin in the game, to decide MVP or ROY through comparisons of what each player has brought to their team, as well as the WNBA each season, regardless of how many years they've played or by skin tone. I would also like to see Player Most Improved in a season.
@@OhioTiesthat’s what is going to make it great when the fever goes in there and take it. If the Fever wins the double header against the aces, how could she not be MVP worthy
The problem with this take is that you have to consider Sabrina, Stewie, Collier, and Alyssa Thomas as well. Those players will have great stats and a better team record than the fever. It's not just a Wilson vs Clark topic. Caitlin is in the discussion now which is great.
That's not being fair to A'ja. Before Caitlin, A'ja was the main attraction. Caitlin just came in like a tsunami, just like Steph Curry did. And MVP does not consider league impact. If that were the case, Steph would have 10 MVPs.
@tabularasa9554 If you look up the definition of MVP it says the person most important to the sport. To me and others it is clearly CC. Aja at this point may be it's best player but she is nowhere as important or had as much impact on the sport as CC.
@@clintdavis7434 I agree with you 100%. But in the WNBA at least, that's not how a MVP is chosen. Because it never before took into account a generational player like Caitlin. No other player in the entire history of the W was or is like Caitlin, and that's the problem. It's all about individual achievement quantified by avg points and rebounds, not impact on teamwork which currently has no official statistics. Yes it's backwards, but what can you do?
Speaking of the WNBA MVP Race, on August 25, 2024, the Clark Report posted on X that Caitlin Clark has joined an “ELITE” group of four players in the NBA or WNBA to record more than 500 points and 200 assists BEFORE their 30th career game. The other three are Basketball Hall of Fame players (Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Isaiah Thomas). Of note, WNBA games are 8 minutes shorter than NBA games. On August 25, 2024, the StatMamba posted on X that Caitlin Clark leads all WNBA rookies with the most 20-point games (13) this season. The next closest rookie is Angel Reese (3). StatMamba also posted that Caitlin Clark has the most 20/5/5 games (11) in a single season this year compared to Breanna Stewart (12) in 2023. Of note, Breanna Stewart was MVP in 2023. At this point in the season, is the media still saying that Caitlin Clark is NOT even in the DISCUSSION for MVP 2024??? If not, what exactly IS the metric for deciding MVP???
She shouldn’t only be in the conversation, she should be leading the conversation. But like you said there’s absolutely no way that they give her that award. The same way that they weren’t going to take her to the Olympics for any reason. Because they don’t want her accolades to match how great she’s been so far. They’re sabotaging her in every way that they can.
I think in the end of the day, a big factor in Caitlin Clark's chances of getting MVP will be how well they do in the playoffs. If the Fever finish better than the Aces, then No Contest, Caitlin should get it. Also, people need to cut her some slack for the first 10 games (1-9) since everything was stacked against her and the Fever .... 1. Toughest schedule (hmmm) 2. Entire league (in response to Diana Turasi's comments) was bullying her and double/triple teaming her 3. Her teammates and coach didn't seem to want to play her style of play (the winning style). Actually, they may have been in on the conspiracy to hold her down) 4. Her teammates were the reason for most of her turnovers (just weren't ready for her passes) 5. She was tired, having just played a full season of college ball and the NCAA tournament. If you look at her stats and the team's stats excluding those first 10 games, they are much better. Hell, even with those first 10 games, her stats are among the best in the league, despite all the crap she has had to put up with. Can you imagine how many fewer turnovers, and how many more assists Caitlin would have if her teammates had handled even half of the ones they missed. She would have broken the rookie assist record 2-3 games ago. As long as she keeps playing the way she has been lately, she should be the MVP (and of course ROTY)
As said below, CC elevates her teams performance, greatly, as opposed to Aja Wilson, whose recent high stats comes at the expense of Las Vegas Aces Win/Loss records.
I think too many people get caught up in her impact in the WNBA. I think the bigger point that needs to be made is that she's the ENTIRE Fever offense. And is breaking records while doing it. She is the orchestrator that makes the game easier for everyone else, while also getting her own buckets. She came with a style of play and an offensive scheme that the team had to make way and adapt to - read: no more half-court BS. Once they were able to do so, you see the results you are seeing now. Now, here's the crazy part, her style of offense is lethal for the UCONN/SC style of half-court dominant offense most of the leading WNBA teams are playing. Why? They came from those programs - and they arent going to change what helps them win college championships. So what do you get? Physically dominant star players that excel in iso-ball. But those dominant players cannot handle the speed and pace of a CC-orchestrated offense. Its why they press her full court. If they let the pace get out of hand, they will get murdered offensively (see: Phoenix, Seattle), and their leading defenders will not be much use offensively. Its why K. Copper had like 8 point the first time they had her on CC all game this season, and why they DID NOT do that again. CC and the Fever have a formula that physically exhausts teams that depend on dominant bigs to win games and lead them to championships. The Aces DO NOT want to see the Fever in the playoffs. Neither do the Liberty. You may be able to hang for a game, but not a series. You will be exhausted.
Yes, if u consider the true meaning of MVP, CC is in contention. She single handedly elevates her Team from the bottom up to playoffs. Unlike Aja, she has a lot of help to win championship with 3 teammates in the Team USA plus Becky Hammond as a coach.
@@dominicharris5489 That's the new talking point for the haters. It's all they have left is to diminish other teams and players. Next they'll start trashing the players who's records Clark breaks.
A'ja will win mvp just because she is putting up historic numbers. I personally think naphessa collier should also be in the conversation just cause the lynx have a better record then Vagas. Clark is having a historic year that is comparable or better stat wise to the vary few guards that have won mvp in wnba history. It is vary hard for a guard especially a point guard in the wnba to win mvp because historically they have not been seen as being as important as a power forward/center. I think the new generation of guards coming into the league is going to change that which is going to lead to a faster pace more exciting game and clark is at the forefront of that movement because of the way she plays the game. Clark is having an all-wnba 1st team season, she is one of only two players top 20 in all five major stat categories and the only guard. She also leads the league in assists per game 8.3 and points generated at 1000+ which has accounted for 43% of the fevers total points on the season. That being said clark is clearly a lock for roty and arguably the best rookie guard in wnba history. Reese is also having an outstanding rookie year but just not at the same level as clark. I could see her having a chance at all-wnba second team or at the vary least third team just because of her rebounding. Reese and clark will both be on the all-rookie team they both have vary bright future's.
100% right now CC IS MVP, ROTY, AND PLAYOFFS MVP. FEVER WILL WIN THE WNBA CHAMPIONSHIP. CC is a team first player. Aja is for only aja. MVP means the best all around player and not the best player of their own position. No other player in the WNBA has done what she's done as a rookie as a player, with the followings of fans. The TV ratings and sold out crowds, the merch sales beers and beverages sales. No one player has impacted a sport and backed it up with her play like CC. NO ONE. SHE IS THE ALPHA AND OMEGA in sports right now. Also you are gorgeous if I may say so. Aloha
@@dark-boson3697 The point is, A'ja requires her squad around her to perform well, CC elevates her team. She plays a brand of ball they've never seen, which is why it took the first third of the season to catch up. That's the difference between a good player and a MVP.
Followed CC at Iowa for 2 years and through their NCAA playoff runs. Never watched a WNBA game until CC drafted; have now watched every Fever game, including some non-Fever games. Am now a WNBA fan because of how CC has transformed the game as a rookie. WNBA, don't screw up like Team USA. Cherish the CC wave and build a business winner for the whole league, including CC's name in MVP consideration - she's earned that already!
Caitlin Clark was specifically built by the basketball gods very much like MJ and LeBron.. They’ll eventually get tired of trying to downplay her greatness.. It’ll become too obvious!!
She’s MVP because the level of responsibility she has for her teams standing, in the NBA she’d have a much stronger case, if she ends up averaging over 20 plus her assist can't be overlooked, she's responsible directly or indirectly for nearly half her teams points, that can't be overlooked.
Most Valuable Player - MVP... What you bring to the team and your teammates with MORE Wins and MORE easy to play for your teammates... ACES is winning less game and rank from 1 down to 5 for 2024 WNBA season her team is not playing well at all but her scoring is better at the beginning of the season and start to POOP lately while it is the opposite in Fever CC... Who is making the team better??? Rachel is right.. CC will NOT win this MVP or the WNBA league will get blow up....
A'Ja Wilson will be the first WNBA player to score 1000 points in a season and is racing Angel Reese for the rebounding record at the same time. If the season ended today she would have the highest PPG average than every single previous WNBA MVP by 3 points and be one of the first 2 players to average 12 rebounds per game in a season along with Angel Reese. A'ja is a LOCK for M'VP, the only discussion is if it's unanimous or not.
A'ja is having a pretty insane season. 1st in points 2nd in rebounds 4th in steals 1st in blocks Just a powerhouse on offense and defense as she is on pace to become the 2nd person ever to average 25ppg. Nuts. Love Caitlin but the mvp is Wilson's to lose.
What's the definition of MVP? CC has been more valuable by a lightyear than any other player to the WNBA ! Not to mention that she has made everyone around her better. Has anyone else done that? Does Aja? And even on stats alone, CC is still in the MVP conversation. But MVP should NOT be just about the stats!
Let's see. CC averaging 17 ppg 5 assist and 5 rebounds shooting 41% from the floor but 32% from 3. Aja Wilson averaging 26 ppg and 12 rebounds and shooting 52% from the floor, also 2.7 blocks per game which leads the league. If the season ended now. Aja Wilson should be MVP. CC is in the mix though.
Argument for C.C. as MVP. Leads the Wnba in points either scored or assisted. She brought this in her rookie season, Every viewership record. Attendance records everywhere she goes. Jersey sales records. Chartered planes. More shoe deals. A new Wnba record breaking T.V. deal. Here's a list of people who think Caitlin is the MVP Wilson, Nike/Jordan and the NBA accountants.
Depends on the definition of valuable. CC means way more to her team than Wilson does to hers. She is dragging them over the finish line. This includes Sides, who still wants to revert back to slow boring play. MVP to CC if she keeps it up. Esp if she beats Wilson both times coming up.
Rachel, I'm an old Kentucky Grandpa... I first heard of Caitlin Clark last year. I fingered out how to watch her Iowa games, and I'm not kidding you. Instant Fan! So, I only know how to follow her on RUclips, but that's all I do. LOL. Anyway... she is a great girl and I love her competitive spirit! I'm rooting for her every day and I hope to get to see her play at some point.
I think if you took the word "valuable" to mean the totality of impact (game performance, impact, and elevating the sport), it's CC and not even close. If you mean just game performance, it is still okay to have CC in the convo. There is no doubt that she made a difference. Her play has elevated the play of her teammates. But it's A'ja
When spotlight shine on Caitlin Clark, that spotlight shine on everybody. That what happened to Iowa when Caitlin Clark played there. Which why Kate martian end up being draft with Caitlin Clark, also why Kate martin have in top 4 jersey sales. Kate martin even out sale more jersey then Wilson. That is how powerful Caitlin Clark is,that Caitlin Clark spotlight cause Kate martian to be draft and also cause Kate martian jersey out sale Wilson Jersey. Wilson supposed be mvp of the league.kate martin is just a rookie and playing about 5 minutes a game.
i feel like this is the same as luka conversation, He lead them to the finals after a long long time of not being a wining team. MVP is who adds the most to the team as an individual.. she just adds more than anyone else that has really ever been in the wnba. Like he adds so much to not just the team but the ENTIRE W as a whole.. SHes literally more valuable than ANYONE
You're totally accurate on everything you said. The media/WNBA won't let Clark win the MVP this year. The fact that Reese is even still a debate for ROY is kind of a joke. I do think A'ja will get MVP, and rightfully deserves it.. But it's odd that the higher ups told PMS to chill out on talking about Caitlin. They're based in Indiana if I recall. She's a super popular player and driving up ratings all over the place.
Caitlin being an MVP candidate isn't something all the haters are ready to deal with at this point. They won't even acknowledge her being the runaway ROTY yet. You think they can handle her being a Top 3-5 overall player? (which she is)
New subscriber. Enjoyed your post. Haven’t followed the WNBA since the early years. Didn’t follow Caitlin during her college career, but knew she broke this Pistol Pete fan’s scoring record. I had basically stop watching any sport on TV, but the talk of CC got me checking things out about her. Love her game. I was not around for CC’s first 12-15 games. As for should Caitlin be in the race for MVP, yes absolutely, but the 3 way tie in betting odds behind Wilson may be about right. Wilson has the individual stats, but her team is worse and falling possibly to 5th finish. Stewart has her team in 1st with excellent stats and their record percentage is ahead of last year. Collier has her team up 4 games better than last year and 12 to go. Caitlin has her team at 13 wins, equal to last year and we should see improvement
Caitlin Clark flooded my B1G Facebook feed and I followed her to the WNBA. I have never been a basketball fan until now I enjoy watching family play in public school leagues but other than that I haven't had interest until now. I have never watched a full college game or pro game (Men or Women) until Caitlin Clark caught my eye. What she has done so far in the WNBA is so incredible. I get the Wilson scores a lot of points but what sets her apart from any other players? Clark is breaking Rookie and other WNBA records, the Fever are not only looking at the playoffs with 12 games to go look at the teams they've beaten. The last 10 games the Liberty are 9-1 (Only loss in that stretch is to the Fever), 2 thru 7 are all 6 - 4 so in this stretch Aces and Fever are equal but last 5 games Aces 2 - 3 while the Fever are 4 - 1. Wilson isn't dominating right now although her numbers are great but the Aces are struggling. They have as many losses currently that they had in 2022 and more than what they had in 2023 while still having 13 games left. I don't see a 3-peat happening at this point. They also play the Fever two more times and if they get eliminated in the playoffs all of that should be considered in MVP discussions.
Aja Wilson is having an INSANE season while also being on a loaded roster. Depending on how far they go on the playoffs she may be the first player to ever record 1000 points. And she's not a pure scorer either. She's a very talented defender, especially in the paint. No one will complain if Aja wins MVP. Caitlin will win ROY but after this year she will be in the runnings for MVP. The fact that she can transition from college to pro this quickly is special.
Aja does not play like a MVP because the teams usually do not challenge her. The teams that play tough Defense on her she struggles and plays bad. Check out the Lynx game yesterday, check out how France played her. She struggles when D-ed-up. No MVP dominance.
Olympics MVP Finals MVP leads the league in scoring and Blocks 2nd rbs 3rd in steals CC is great but Aja is better in all other Stata but assists at some point yall got stop with the bias and give other players credit.
Funny you say that coz she is indeed putting better numbers individually compared to last season BUT their team standings show that they are WORST compared to last season. Her having better numbers only shows it doesn't make better impact towards her entire team.
Is beyond believe the pettiness and jealousy of most of the women in this league, they're actually willing to appear dumb if it justifies nonsensical arguments in order to not accept reality.
I completely agree that CC should definitely be in STRONG consideration for MVP! If you look, Aja is playing well, but her team isn't. The Aces are in the 5th. I don't know if they have ever given an MVP award to a player in the 5th, but if they so this year, then they are definitely breaking the norm. Caitlin Clark has been more valuable to her team.
So the solution to not giving the MVP to an player in a 5th seed team is to give it to an player on an 7th seed team? Man you CC fans are unbelievable with these takes. The reality is if you actually followed the game of basketball you would know in the NBA that players have won the MVP on 5th and 6th seeds teams by being statistical great and having an winning record. You cannot be in the MVP talks without having historically great stats and having an winning record period. Aja has both and therefore is the MVP.
Ok come on. I am as big a CC fan as anyone but A’ja is the best basketball player on the planet. A’Ja does it on both sides of the floor while Caitlin is a liability on D. A’Ja is so offensively skilled she can score from anywhere, averaging 27pts, 12 Reb, 3 blocks and 2 steals, doing it on both sides of the ball. shooting 52% FG and 40% from 3. CC is not in her league yet, and that’s OK. CC doing better the 2nd half of the season but leads the league in turnovers and will set the WNBA record for turnovers this year: shooting a paltry 42% FG and 32% from 3. leads the league in missed 3’s. CC passing is next level, but she’s been super inefficient offensively, and struggles defensively. She’s a generational player whose time will come for MVP, but not this year. 😊 She will get ROTY though.
What stats does he need to recheck? These are all factual in every major category except assist Aja leads Clark in. The comment shows me you know nothing about basketball and should just stop talking about the sport because you are embarrassing yourself 😂
So many people have been saying that CC needed to acclimate herself to the "speed" of the WNBA, and I think thats HILARIOUS! Its like these people never watched IOWA play! CC ALWAYS has her head up PUSHING the ball up the court, ALWAYS! Her teammates needed to acclimate themselves to the speed of CC and pay TF attention cuz the ball is coming!
I'd say five players should be in the conversation. Here's my order at the moment: 5. Caitlin Clark 4. Alyssa Thomas 3. A'ja Wilson 2. Napheesa Collier 1. Breanna Stewart

Caitlin was NOT throwing the ball away.
Her teammates didn't know how to handle NBA quality passes.
Well, during the Olympic break they practiced catching her passes, so they've easily won since then!

Her turnovers are probably going down because her teammates are catching her high IQ passing assists.

ROTY? Absolutely. As for MVP... I think it's best to just wait and see how the rest of the season plays out.
A’ja Wilson is dominating, she’ll win the mvp, Clark will win rookie of the year
Facts
The MVP award should not be about personal records. It's about a players impact on the teams performance. What was the Fevers record in 2023 and where are they now with the addition of Clark? Now do that for the Sky and see if Reese's addition did as much.
I think that there ought to be an independent group, with no skin in the game, to decide MVP or ROY through comparisons of what each player has brought to their team, as well as the WNBA each season, regardless of how many years they've played or by skin tone. I would also like to see Player Most Improved in a season.

The MVP definition includes your impact to your team AND the league. CCs impact to the league is historic. Aja's is zero.
@tabularasa9554 Yea it's what it should be vs what is.
CC should win it!!!she is ask on that team far more than AJ.
1. Toughest schedule (hmmm)
2. Entire league (in response to Diana Turasi's comments) was bullying her and double/triple teaming her
3. Her teammates and coach didn't seem to want to play her style of play (the winning style). Actually, they may have been in on the conspiracy to hold her down)
4. Her teammates were the reason for most of her turnovers (just weren't ready for her passes)
Hammond is a head case.

What if? What if Fever wins the WNBA Championship, will she be considered a MVP candidate??✌️
By the fans yes. By the media no
MVP is a regular season award. Championships don’t matter
You are right on the Money. The OLD WNBA are now ridiculus , along with the media, etc. Caitlin is the MVP in my book.
i feel like this is the same as luka conversation, He lead them to the finals after a long long time of not being a wining team.
(which she is)
A'ja can get the MVP but CC is THE Rookie of the Year! Hope the W would not sabotage that.
*** Things to consider ***
Aces: 5 Olympians (Wilson, Grey, Young, Plum, Gustufson);
Liberty: 4 Olympians (Stewart, Ionescu, Fiebich, Vandersloot);
Storm: 4 Olympians (Lloyd, Williams, Megbegor, Witcomb);
Mercury: 4 Olympians (Griner, Copper, Taurasi, Allen);
Lynx: 3 Olympians (Collier, Smith, Carlton);
Sun: 1 Olympian (Thomas)
You’re right on the money on all points.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. 💯 🎯
No one would even know who Aja Wilson is if not for C.C.
100% very well said top to bottom
You said it all.. pure real talk... 😮❤❤❤❤
It feels like you’ve been fan girling hard for CC. I get it she’s a beast, but MVP? A’ja has been the best all around player in the league.
You should make a video about the unspoken "for whatever reason" bc you're definitely smart enough to know what the two reasons are
Aja Wilson is having an INSANE season while also being on a loaded roster.
❤️Caitlin and Kate
Aja does not play like a MVP because the teams usually do not challenge her. The teams that play tough Defense on her she struggles and plays bad. Check out the Lynx game yesterday, check out how France played her. She struggles when D-ed-up. No MVP dominance.
Olympics MVP Finals MVP leads the league in scoring and Blocks 2nd rbs 3rd in steals CC is great but Aja is better in all other Stata but assists at some point yall got stop with the bias and give other players credit.
@@akatheapostleexactly bro this is beyond delusional fr lol
@KingBeckwood I'm trying to stay out these comments but C'mon man they make people not want to cheer for her when they come with these crazy takes
Aja is the best all around player at the moment, Caitlin is the most VALUABLE bar none. That team wouldn’t even sniff the playoffs without her.
Aja clears idc what anyone says she dominating this year
🧢
Funny you say that coz she is indeed putting better numbers individually compared to last season BUT their team standings show that they are WORST compared to last season. Her having better numbers only shows it doesn't make better impact towards her entire team.
Can play any position, unguardable, creates her own shot with ease and defensively a monster
Aja Wilson is 2024 MVP not even a question!!
Anyone that doesn’t think Aja should win is delusional
Yes, Vegas is a super team. But yes- Wilson is MVP. CC should be unanimous ROY.
Caitlin Clark should be MVP because she has done more for the WNBA than any other player period. Plus raising the Fever from the basement!!!
who is responsible for the most points and best improvement on the team from last year?
Sabrina Ionescu is the MVP.
CC22 is the ROTY-MVP.
Maybe watch a game or two, and recheck those stats.
What stats does he need to recheck? These are all factual in every major category except assist Aja leads Clark in. The comment shows me you know nothing about basketball and should just stop talking about the sport because you are embarrassing yourself 😂
@@infocloudonline3720 I watch every Caitlin Clark game. I am one of her biggest fans. Just spitting facts. What stats are wrong?
Tanks so much for your honesty!!! 👍
Your such a cc fan girl, there are like 3 other wnba players that deserve mvp
I'd say five players should be in the conversation.
Here's my order at the moment:
5. Caitlin Clark
4. Alyssa Thomas
3. A'ja Wilson
2. Napheesa Collier
1. Breanna Stewart
That’s a very reasonable order based on how the team standing are now.
Mitchell has been quoted to saying, "WE HAVE TO LEARN TO PLAY CATCH UP TO CLARK, HER PASSING IS SO FAST IT'S EASY TO MISS." Mitchell has been playing WNBA since 2018. SHE HAS TO PLAY CATCH UP WITH CLARK??????? THAT in itself say's WAAAAAYYYYY more then just the words that are used.!!!!!!!
I don't need thanks from Rachel for watching her thought- ful work in her comments. She tells truth and analyzes without the noise and hatefulness of the Swoop. Since I'm 77 years old will take the liberty of remarking that she is also pretty adorable 😊😊
Your exactly right about Caitlin Clark Rookie of the year, Wilson will be MVP even if Caitlin pulls miracles on the court,Rookie of the year for sure.
I feel the same way. CC is so much more valuable to her team than Asia is to hers. CC IS the MVP of the whole league. Her level of play is making all the ladies step it up. She IS their “reality”, DT😮.
