i am 1000% convinced that they made all these terrible changes to attract those new players who refunded storm 4 because they couldn't be bothered to practice and catch up to the stablished storm playerbase. It all points to an attempt of making one look like they're doing cool shit regarless of how ass they were in the previous games. Making a combo out of everything, picking opponents off the ground, safe jutsus, getting infinite resources. Instant pick up the controler and fill the screen with particles, otherwise the changes make 0 sense because they sure as hell aren't in the benefit of skill based gamplay, balance, or fun. It always bothered me when people called storm "a button mashing game" just because it's not in the traditional style of fighting games, it took timing and resource management. THIS was the game that arena fighter haters thought storm 4 was.
CC2 really thought they were gonna get away with cash grabbing when all they had to do was either make game basically storm 4 plus or work on a different anime IP
I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻♂️

@@chuckyzrevenge to me, Storm 3 is the last storm game that had any true passion/innovation put into it. The instant awakenings were amazing, and made the game more competitive in a fun way. Plus many characters it makes absolutely no sense for them to save their awakening for the end. Like Byakugan or Sharingan users. Or sage mode, or kcm.

so many other fun features like wall battles, jutsu/ultimate jutsu clashes, map destruction,etc. all need to be put back in! its the little things that made the past storm games so magical. crazy though how this game made so many people try out the other storm games!
I SWEAR, Storm 1 had so many cool things that I really wish they would add back to the series. I feel like after they added the Online feature in Storm 2, they felt like the need for things like Wall Battles, Jutsu Clashes, Ultimate Clashes, and all those things just weren't needed anymore and it kinda sucks because those things were super unique and cool and we kinda lost a lot of that stuff. I feel like puppet characters aren’t talked about enough. They’ve always been OP. But in this game? HOLY SHIT. THEY CANT BE KILLED. They always run some bullshit supports, counterattack the moment you approach, or they just spam grabs when you dash into the puppets. Shit is ASS.
They’ve ALWAYS been bullshit lol. But they’re not that easy to play with and are MOSTLY rare. I’ve only encountered like two and it was in Casual Match and not Ranked. But you’re right it takes an UNFATHOMABLE amount of effort to actually beat a puppet user who actually knows how to use them since they work completely different so a lot of their bullshit you really can’t do much about.
No punishment for rage quitters, no tilts, no full curse mark jugo, no anko, free jutsu spam, bullshit super armor, slide show story mode, and the list goes on...all for 60 bananas 🤦🏾♂️

I bought this game recently and when I saw that you can LITERALLY hit your opponent with a combo, jutsu or Ultimate Jutsu even when their body just HIT THE GROUND, I was floored. You couldn't DO that in past Storm games or even other fighting games in general! Why did CC2 think that was a "good" idea?!
My fault bro 😂 I like Hinata as a character for sure I just hate that a lot of frauds on this game ONLY pick her because her support is really good. Back in the other games if somebody ran Hinata it meant they were either really good at the game, or they weren’t but they liked Hinata. Now she’s one of the best supports to run and seeing her is pretty common. But at least UNLIKE SHINO, Hinata actually does have fans, so seeing her is less annoying than Shino who I know for a FACT nobody ever played except people who wanted to spam his bugs.
BRO I swear I kept seeing people say that this game doesn't take skill and while I'll admit that it doesn't take MUCH skill, you can tell by looking at people's movement and how they jump out of their combos if they know how to play or not. On paper and on the surface this a circle mash game, but there was always more to it. In THIS Storm though they incentivize and enable spamming and playing like a complete scrub which they didn't do in past storm games
What annoys is that the game is actually good, but stupid things like armored jutsu, item damage and cancellable jutsus making you unpunishable is totallly ruining it

Yeah I'll give CC2 that at least, the game definitely FEELS faster and thats a good thing. New characters is always nice to have, I just don't like the combat changes they made since it makes playing competitively so miserable. But that's fair if you enjoy it, they HAVE been balance changing the game, so hopefully they continue to do so. Then I might come around to liking the game the way I wanted to like it.
My Friend sent me this cause I said the same things, they made the game for new players who never played storm before to be able to fight people who have in which is not fair to us who gained all out skill through all the games to be beaten back a kid who super and ult goes through your block
I bought this game 2 weeks ago and only fortnite has made me rage this much everything he said is valid like learning all the moves and what characters are good for me makes the game fun but i cant tell u hoe many times ive only fougbt assists they run away and i chase em cuz i cant play tht passive and when i rush they jus spam a unstoppable jutsu or span they supports and the substitutions are horrendous i use my substitutions up and its over and they jus do them endless combos and speed rush there supports in and continue it

And that PTS Shino is the proof. „Best Connections player“ I often see in titles of „pro“ players and every one of them is using the same characters with the same play style 😂 The only good thing about this game is the amount of characters (which are still way too less tho) and the 4K 60 FPS.
I remember playing ultimate ninja for the ps2 and the characters had more then one ultimate and certain ultimate automatically entered awaking mode like saskue curse mark or naruto nine tail or itachi tsykuomi were everything was slowed down now they all have the same fighting style and combos and ultimate since storm one i remember the first hojage ultimate were he does the infinate darkness jutsu and then finish you on a tree and burns the whole things even the second hokage had dope ones storm is just a copy and repeat of the same thing over and over again

In my opinion the older games were better (the Naruto Clash of Ninja games are my favorite personally), sadly for now the only Naruto games we really have are the Storm games. There’s Naruto Shinobi Strikers but I’m not a fan of that one. My recommendation would be the Naruto Storm Trilogy (MAKE SURE you get it at a cheap price though it should be REALLY cheap like less than $30)

One thing that I found kinda annoying in past storm games is how you constantly had to charge your chakra, which is why I like the chakra regen. Otherwise I would have to use trainers and give myself infinite chakra lol. But I can see how things can be annoying in this game though. Side note... I have perfected Karma Boruto's infinite combo. 😅
Now BECAUSE you said you don’t play online, I could see how you would like a lot of the changes and I’ll say that for offline play they’re actually good. The only problem is people in ONLINE, will abuse things and pick whatever is meta and not play to have fun like you usually would offline. So a lot of people will utilize the automatic chakra regeneration to spam Jutsu and because it comes back automatically, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to punish them for doing so. But before in other games you had to manage your Chakra because it didn’t just come back on its own. Meaning that if you spammed Jutsu, you would run out of chakra and needed to charge it, which would give the opponent a chance to be offensive. Since you can’t punish someone as easily in Storm Connections, it makes spamming Jutsu and running away even stronger, and even when you do try to be offensive, their chakra will come back WHILE you are combo’ing them. So they’ll just let you hit them a little bit, substitute behind you and immediately do a Jutsu. Sorry for the long comment but I just wanted to fully explain why changes like that are bad for online play
I see no one talking about how they changed the health bars from persisting between rounds, to a traditional reset on each round. It feels to pointless to still try and damage your opponent if your about to lose the round because all that damage will be healed back in the next round!
Funny enough, I used to be just like you. You will continue to play it until you find another game. Love it for what it is.. just start getting into actual fighters.. then come back. You need to increase your ceiling cap as a fighter and that only comes from playing different games. Subjugate or be subjugated.

As someone who started playing Storm 4 in March (first storm game I ever played) i waited until i got somewhat decent before going to Connections thinking it would be the same just better graphics and more characters. I hate Connections lol, the drastic changes were so unnecessary although I do like that you get more than 1 jutsu and you can pick for your subs as well, the skins feels like money grab energy..who TF really cares about the colors (this ain't smash bros.) and yea the controls don't even resemble the old games, it's like learning a completely new game, which I kind of makes you take a firm stance on whether or not you'll play this one or the old ones and I choose 4 wholeheartedly

Dudes pick pts Shino not only for his armor and s but he’s the only character in the game that has two Justus that drain your chakra. Yes. pts Shino can drain chakra. That’s why he’s meta. That’s why he’s on everyone’s team. That included with his s and armor. When he hits you with either of his justus, it will drain your chakra
Yeah all those things you mentioned AND his items too. The fact he has poison tag and can chain the other tags with it. I actually didn’t realize his Jutsu did that but it’s just yet another reason why he’s meta. I believe PTS Neji also does something similar with the Chakra, but it’s only his second Jutsu. He’s a lot less popular though, most ppl will just pick Older Neji over him.

@@KillaTheKrashout yeah storm connections had three different versions... You didn't see it on PlayStation store ? The regular Naruto Ninja Storm connections had a blue background... In the ultimate Naruto Ninja Storm connections had a yellowish orange background.... ?? It made more sense to buy the ultimate version because I would end up getting all the characters and all the different story modes and stuff instead of buying DLCs.... The game is okay though.... Honestly it should only been maybe 25 to 30 bucks LOL... Still better than paying the full $105 tho
Honestly if they had balanced the fighting mechanics better this game wouldve been far more bearable to play and a video like this wouldn’t really be made in such a negative light. I can officially say if they don’t course correct this game, it will be the last time I will ever even think about playing this series for a while and I know that Sparking Zero will easily fill that void. If I’m ever looking for some nostalgia in the future, I will return to connections, be reminded of my disgust and disappointment, and then quickly hop on to Storm 4 to forget the pain. This game might just be the #Serieskiller

Like the voices are like the un-used scrapped versions of them that weren't used during development of the old storm games. Like in storm 4, reanimation Minato was my main and his ult had a special place in his heart for how he said y'know. And I picked up storm Connections a few weeks ago and booted up with Minato and I was like maybe I'm blanking on this shit, so I literally redownloaded storm 4 to see if there was something wrong with my memory and there wasn't. And from that point on I absolutely hate Storm Connections!!!!
Listen, I agree with you that the game is bad, but you kinda need to explain yourself better. The point about justus being too spammable because chakra regen + invincibility frames + cancellable is clear and self-evident. But why is it bad that tags do more damage? Or that infinites and UJ cancels are easier? In previous games, characters could still do infinites and UJ cancels, it's just that on some characters like THE LAST Sasuke they were piss easy, while other characters couldn't do them at all. By making it universally easy to do combos, CC2 has indirectly buffed a lot of weak characters and made them more viable. I'm not saying you're wrong for disliking these features, I just feel like besides the jutsu spam, you need to be clearer about WHY these changes impact the game negatively. WHY is it bad that you can combo from grabs? WHY is it bad that damage is higher across the board? It's not as self-evident as you think. Maybe you should've kept that script, it might have clarified these things.
Good comment, in hindsight I agree that script would’ve made things more clear lol, I just sorta let the anger take over. Anyway, I preferred the way combos and Ultimate Jutsu cancels worked previously because it actually required a bit of execution and you could easily mess them up (unless it was The Last Sasuke cuz his was dumb). I wouldn’t have minded if they just gave everyone a combo that makes the enemy character bounce off the ground and you could do a cancel that way, or better yet they have the same thing that they actually have in Storm Connections where they slowly fall to the ground but instead of you having a million years to combo off of it, they AT least make it to how it was in other Storm games where at the very least you had to jump in order to continue to combo, otherwise you would just continue the regular combo. But instead, they essentially just gave EVERYONE The Last Sasuke’s combo cancel. And the funniest part about it is that even though you’re completely right that it makes weaker characters better, people STILL aren’t going to play them because NOW being able to cancel your combo doesn’t matter NEARLY as much in this game, the Jutsu does. People aren’t gonna play the weaker characters because they can do combo cancels, they’re just going to pick the strong characters that have stupid Jutsus AND on top of that, their combos will automatically be easy as shit because they made them universally easy. When you threw a tag in the other storm games you had to immediately follow up with an attack in order to combo off of it, but in Connections the stun lasts way longer and I’ve literally had people throw a tag from half screen and dash all the way over to me and get a combo when previously, they would not have been able to do that. And you can combo off of all of them except the explosion tag (and the ones that buff you) and previously, most of them were a quick single use to either extend your combo for a bit of extra damage without using chakra, or to just get the person off of you if it was a bomb or explosion tag. So now it just feels like nothing requires ANY execution and you can literally be falling asleep on the game and still pull off a dumb combo. Doesn’t matter if it was a Throw, a Jutsu, a Support, an Item, or just you mashing until you see the stun where they fall, everything is just dumb, to me anyway. And Poison Tag does not have Scaling on it so it will ALWAYS do a chunk of damage and it feels terrible to get hit by. I played A LOT of Ranked in the Storm games so most of my issues are coming from THAT environment of the game. If you don’t play Ranked or a lot of Online matches, you probably won’t experience a lot of the game’s bullshit, or you won’t see it as bullshit because it won’t be getting done to you game after game. But that’s everything I think. Again, I appreciate the comment i’ll try to remember to lay out all my issues clearly in future vids.
Best way to put it is this is tje only game where my friends who started playing storm 2 years ago can beat me. Storm 4 ill double stock but in this im fighting for my damn life

while i agree there are many broken aspects in this game, we all know that there's some try hards out there that'll kick your ass even with the most basic unbroken team. Play against your opponent, not the mechanics of the game.
Nah that'd be true in any OTHER game, but this is Storm Connections. Literally in ANY other game you would be right but because it's Storm Connections, you are 100% fighting the game mechanics more than the actual player. EVERYONE who is, "try hard" in this game is just going to play a broken team to go along with their skills. I'm TELLING you from experience, there is no "SKILL" in this Storm. If you play a COMPLETE honest team against a team with meta characters on it, you are more likely to lose than you would be in any other Storm. Either play meta characters too or lose against people who are.
No mention of the easy culprits like Minato's Rasengan, Ashura's Rasengan Bomb or Rinnegan Sasuke's Ground Amaterasu into Rinnegan switch. Cultured rant 🧐

The community isnt so sure on when/if we're still getting it because of something about Nuverse(the studio making it) having shut down. Doesnt necessarily mean the game is cancelled but we have to wait and see which publisher/studio is going to buy it out. But yes, it was finally to get its own modern fighting game
I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. @@Wano-Kuno exactly 😂 This is what I was talking about when I said she sucks in the series. When it comes to Shonen Anime, characters are typically remembered/liked more, when they have good fights. I remember Hinata, but in both of her major fights, she got COMPLETELY DOG WALKED, so that’s what I remember most about her. Don’t get me wrong she has GREAT character moments and nice traits so she’s definitely a good character, but in regards to her place in a Shonen Anime, she’s unimpressive (and sadly MOST female characters, not just Naruto but Shonen in general, have terrible showings as far as combat is concerned). This is why people say Kishimoto doesn’t know how to write female characters even though that’s definitely not the case, it’s just that the females FEEL underutilized because they don’t have good fights and most people watch Shonen for fights so all people focus on is how cute they are or who they should be with.

Well some of those would definitely be better. I’ll say this, I think Storm 4 was the most balanced Storm. Most of the broken things in that game were exploits that weren’t intended to be in the game. Not only is Storm Connections EVEN MORE BUGGY with dumber and stupider exploits, but it also is intentionally unbalanced. They WANT you to spam jutsus, which is why you are completely invincible during them AND your chakra comes back on its own. They WANT you to Spam items, which is why they buffed them and made (MOST) of them more potent so now you can EASILY combo off them or just chain them all together AND they come back after a couple seconds. Not to mention poison does NOT have scaling attached to it so you are ALWAYS guaranteed to take a lot of damage off of any poison (keep in mind some characters don’t even need items to poison you and can do it with a Jutsu). With Storm 4 they took most of the mechanics from the other Storm games and focused on balancing them to make them a little less frustrating. This game they went in the complete opposite direction and made everything EXTRA annoying to deal with. I think most of the things you suggested would actually be pretty good changes. I actually don’t think supports need to outright disappear if you get hit, just do it like Storm 4 where it’s possible to actually hit them more often than not, so they aren’t COMPLETELY bailing someone out of a combo and completely flipping the situation to where now the person who was DOING the combo, is now getting a combo done on them all because of a support that does that. i am 1000% convinced that they made all these terrible changes to attract those new players who refunded storm 4 because they couldn't be bothered to practice and catch up to the stablished storm playerbase. It all points to an attempt of making one look like they're doing cool shit regarless of how ass they were in the previous games. Making a combo out of everything, picking opponents off the ground, safe jutsus, getting infinite resources. Instant pick up the controler and fill the screen with particles, otherwise the changes make 0 sense because they sure as hell aren't in the benefit of skill based gamplay, balance, or fun.
It always bothered me when people called storm "a button mashing game" just because it's not in the traditional style of fighting games, it took timing and resource management. THIS was the game that arena fighter haters thought storm 4 was.

Plus many characters it makes absolutely no sense for them to save their awakening for the end. Like Byakugan or Sharingan users. Or sage mode, or kcm.

My fault bro 😂 I like Hinata as a character for sure I just hate that a lot of frauds on this game ONLY pick her because her support is really good. Back in the other games if somebody ran Hinata it meant they were either really good at the game, or they weren’t but they liked Hinata. Now she’s one of the best supports to run and seeing her is pretty common. But at least UNLIKE SHINO, Hinata actually does have fans, so seeing her is less annoying than Shino who I know for a FACT nobody ever played except people who wanted to spam his bugs.

BRO I swear I kept seeing people say that this game doesn't take skill and while I'll admit that it doesn't take MUCH skill, you can tell by looking at people's movement and how they jump out of their combos if they know how to play or not. On paper and on the surface this a circle mash game, but there was always more to it. Yeah I'll give CC2 that at least, the game definitely FEELS faster and thats a good thing. New characters is always nice to have, I just don't like the combat changes they made since it makes playing competitively so miserable. But that's fair if you enjoy it, they HAVE been balance changing the game, so hopefully they continue to do so. Then I might come around to liking the game the way I wanted to like it.

I bought this game 2 weeks ago and only fortnite has made me rage this much everything he said is valid like learning all the moves and what characters are good for me makes the game fun but i cant tell u hoe many times ive only fougbt assists they run away and i chase em cuz i cant play tht passive and when i rush they jus spam a unstoppable jutsu or span they supports and the substitutions are horrendous i use my substitutions up and its over and they jus do them endless combos and speed rush there supports in and continue it

I remember playing ultimate ninja for the ps2 and the characters had more then one ultimate and certain ultimate automatically entered awaking mode like saskue curse mark or naruto nine tail or itachi tsykuomi were everything was slowed down now they all have the same fighting style and combos and ultimate since storm one i remember the first hojage ultimate were he does the infinate darkness jutsu and then finish you on a tree and burns the whole things even the second hokage had dope ones storm is just a copy and repeat of the same thing over and over again

In my opinion the older games were better (the Naruto Clash of Ninja games are my favorite personally), sadly for now the only Naruto games we really have are the Storm games. There’s Naruto Shinobi Strikers but I’m not a fan of that one. My recommendation would be the Naruto Storm Trilogy (MAKE SURE you get it at a cheap price though it should be REALLY cheap like less than $30)

One thing that I found kinda annoying in past storm games is how you constantly had to charge your chakra, which is why I like the chakra regen. Otherwise I would have to use trainers and give myself infinite chakra lol. But I can see how things can be annoying in this game though. Side note... I have perfected Karma Boruto's infinite combo. 😅

Now BECAUSE you said you don’t play online, I could see how you would like a lot of the changes and I’ll say that for offline play they’re actually good. The only problem is people in ONLINE, will abuse things and pick whatever is meta and not play to have fun like you usually would offline. So a lot of people will utilize the automatic chakra regeneration to spam Jutsu and because it comes back automatically, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to punish them for doing so. But before in other games you had to manage your Chakra because it didn’t just come back on its own. Meaning that if you spammed Jutsu, you would run out of chakra and needed to charge it, which would give the opponent a chance to be offensive. Since you can’t punish someone as easily in Storm Connections, it makes spamming Jutsu and running away even stronger, and even when you do try to be offensive, their chakra will come back WHILE you are combo’ing them. So they’ll just let you hit them a little bit, substitute behind you and immediately do a Jutsu. Sorry for the long comment but I just wanted to fully explain why changes like that are bad for online play
I see no one talking about how they changed the health bars from persisting between rounds, to a traditional reset on each round. It feels to pointless to still try and damage your opponent if your about to lose the round because all that damage will be healed back in the next round!
Funny enough, I used to be just like you. You will continue to play it until you find another game. Love it for what it is.. just start getting into actual fighters.. then come back. You need to increase your ceiling cap as a fighter and that only comes from playing different games. Subjugate or be subjugated.

As someone who started playing Storm 4 in March (first storm game I ever played) i waited until i got somewhat decent before going to Connections thinking it would be the same just better graphics and more characters. I hate Connections lol, the drastic changes were so unnecessary although I do like that you get more than 1 jutsu and you can pick for your subs as well, the skins feels like money grab energy..who TF really cares about the colors (this ain't smash bros.) and yea the controls don't even resemble the old games, it's like learning a completely new game, which I kind of makes you take a firm stance on whether or not you'll play this one or the old ones and I choose 4 wholeheartedly

That’s why he’s on everyone’s team. That included with his s and armor. When he hits you with either of his justus, it will drain your chakra
Yeah all those things you mentioned AND his items too. The fact he has poison tag and can chain the other tags with it. I actually didn’t realize his Jutsu did that but it’s just yet another reason why he’s meta. I believe PTS Neji also does something similar with the Chakra, but it’s only his second Jutsu. He’s a lot less popular though, most ppl will just pick Older Neji over him.

In the ultimate Naruto Ninja Storm connections had a yellowish orange background.... ?? It made more sense to buy the ultimate version because I would end up getting all the characters and all the different story modes and stuff instead of buying DLCs.... The game is okay though.... Honestly it should only been maybe 25 to 30 bucks LOL... Still better than paying the full $105 tho

Honestly if they had balanced the fighting mechanics better this game wouldve been far more bearable to play and a video like this wouldn’t really be made in such a negative light.
I can officially say if they don’t course correct this game, it will be the last time I will ever even think about playing this series for a while and I know that Sparking Zero will easily fill that void.
If I’m ever looking for some nostalgia in the future, I will return to connections, be reminded of my disgust and disappointment, and then quickly hop on to Storm 4 to forget the pain.

Like the voices are like the un-used scrapped versions of them that weren't used during development of the old storm games. Like in storm 4, reanimation Minato was my main and his ult had a special place in his heart for how he said y'know. And I picked up storm Connections a few weeks ago and booted up with Minato and I was like maybe I'm blanking on this shit, so I literally redownloaded storm 4 to see if there was something wrong with my memory and there wasn't. And from that point on I absolutely hate Storm Connections!!!!
Listen, I agree with you that the game is bad, but you kinda need to explain yourself better. The point about justus being too spammable because chakra regen + invincibility frames + cancellable is clear and self-evident. But why is it bad that tags do more damage? Or that infinites and UJ cancels are easier? In previous games, characters could still do infinites and UJ cancels, it's just that on some characters like THE LAST Sasuke they were piss easy, while other characters couldn't do them at all. By making it universally easy to do combos, CC2 has indirectly buffed a lot of weak characters and made them more viable.
I'm not saying you're wrong for disliking these features, I just feel like besides the jutsu spam, you need to be clearer about WHY these changes impact the game negatively. WHY is it bad that you can combo from grabs? WHY is it bad that damage is higher across the board? It's not as self-evident as you think.
Maybe you should've kept that script, it might have clarified these things.
Good comment, in hindsight I agree that script would’ve made things more clear lol, I just sorta let the anger take over. Anyway, I preferred the way combos and Ultimate Jutsu cancels worked previously because it actually required a bit of execution and you could easily mess them up (unless it was The Last Sasuke cuz his was dumb). I wouldn’t have minded if they just gave everyone a combo that makes the enemy character bounce off the ground and you could do a cancel that way, or better yet they have the same thing that they actually have in Storm Connections where they slowly fall to the ground but instead of you having a million years to combo off of it, they AT least make it to how it was in other Storm games where at the very least you had to jump in order to continue to combo, otherwise you would just continue the regular combo. But instead, they essentially just gave EVERYONE The Last Sasuke’s combo cancel. And the funniest part about it is that even though you’re completely right that it makes weaker characters better, people STILL aren’t going to play them because NOW being able to cancel your combo doesn’t matter NEARLY as much in this game, the Jutsu does. People aren’t gonna play the weaker characters because they can do combo cancels, they’re just going to pick the strong characters that have stupid Jutsus AND on top of that, their combos will automatically be easy as shit because they made them universally easy.
When you threw a tag in the other storm games you had to immediately follow up with an attack in order to combo off of it, but in Connections the stun lasts way longer and I’ve literally had people throw a tag from half screen and dash all the way over to me and get a combo when previously, they would not have been able to do that. And you can combo off of all of them except the explosion tag (and the ones that buff you) and previously, most of them were a quick single use to either extend your combo for a bit of extra damage without using chakra, or to just get the person off of you if it was a bomb or explosion tag. So now it just feels like nothing requires ANY execution and you can literally be falling asleep on the game and still pull off a dumb combo. Doesn’t matter if it was a Throw, a Jutsu, a Support, an Item, or just you mashing until you see the stun where they fall, everything is just dumb, to me anyway. And Poison Tag does not have Scaling on it so it will ALWAYS do a chunk of damage and it feels terrible to get hit by.
I played A LOT of Ranked in the Storm games so most of my issues are coming from THAT environment of the game. If you don’t play Ranked or a lot of Online matches, you probably won’t experience a lot of the game’s bullshit, or you won’t see it as bullshit because it won’t be getting done to you game after game. But that’s everything I think. Again, I appreciate the comment i’ll try to remember to lay out all my issues clearly in future vids.

while i agree there are many broken aspects in this game, we all know that there's some try hards out there that'll kick your ass even with the most basic unbroken team. Play against your opponent, not the mechanics of the game.
Nah that'd be true in any OTHER game, but this is Storm Connections. Literally in ANY other game you would be right but because it's Storm Connections, you are 100% fighting the game mechanics more than the actual player. EVERYONE who is, "try hard" in this game is just going to play a broken team to go along with their skills. I'm TELLING you from experience, there is no "SKILL" in this Storm. If you play a COMPLETE honest team against a team with meta characters on it, you are more likely to lose than you would be in any other Storm. Either play meta characters too or lose against people who are.

The community isnt so sure on when/if we're still getting it because of something about Nuverse(the studio making it) having shut down. Doesnt necessarily mean the game is cancelled but we have to wait and see which publisher/studio is going to buy it out. But yes, it was finally to get its own modern fighting game

I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features)
2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks)
3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well)
4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion)
5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻♂️

@@Wano-Kuno exactly 😂 This is what I was talking about when I said she sucks in the series. When it comes to Shonen Anime, characters are typically remembered/liked more, when they have good fights. I remember Hinata, but in both of her major fights, she got COMPLETELY DOG WALKED, so that’s what I remember most about her. Don’t get me wrong she has GREAT character moments and nice traits so she’s definitely a good character, but in regards to her place in a Shonen Anime, she’s unimpressive (and sadly MOST female characters, not just Naruto but Shonen in general, have terrible showings as far as combat is concerned). This is why people say Kishimoto doesn’t know how to write female characters even though that’s definitely not the case, it’s just that the females FEEL underutilized because they don’t have good fights and most people watch Shonen for fights so all people focus on is how cute they are or who they should be with.

Give online alternatives now
Make jutsu less cancalble
Nef Chakra recovery or add Chakra penalty for jutsu spam
Punishment for rage frequent quitters
Then It would be a ok game
Well some of those would definitely be better. I’ll say this, I think Storm 4 was the most balanced Storm. Most of the broken things in that game were exploits that weren’t intended to be in the game. Not only is Storm Connections EVEN MORE BUGGY with dumber and stupider exploits, but it also is intentionally unbalanced. They WANT you to spam jutsus, which is why you are completely invincible during them AND your chakra comes back on its own. They WANT you to Spam items, which is why they buffed them and made (MOST) of them more potent so now you can EASILY combo off them or just chain them all together AND they come back after a couple seconds. Not to mention poison does NOT have scaling attached to it so you are ALWAYS guaranteed to take a lot of damage off of any poison (keep in mind some characters don’t even need items to poison you and can do it with a Jutsu). With Storm 4 they took most of the mechanics from the other Storm games and focused on balancing them to make them a little less frustrating. This game they went in the complete opposite direction and made everything EXTRA annoying to deal with. I think most of the things you suggested would actually be pretty good changes. I actually don’t think supports need to outright disappear if you get hit, just do it like Storm 4 where it’s possible to actually hit them more often than not, so they aren’t COMPLETELY bailing someone out of a combo and completely flipping the situation to where now the person who was DOING the combo, is now getting a combo done on them all because of a support that does that.
