Every time you do a video, it's always interesting. The fact that you take the time to video, then do a voice-over to explain what you're doing, is even more impressive. So don't worry if you don't get a video all the time. We understand. You have a business. You are a working Farrier doing a job, that takes a lot of concentration for every horse, because every horses' needs are different. So I thank you for every video that you do. I appreciate every one of them. I hope to see more of this technique in the future. It looks like an interesting technique and approach to treating cracks. Thank you again, Caleb, for all the great work you do to keep all your clients' horses sound. Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖🇨🇦🇺🇲
Love that method, love the idea and I too really enjoy your videos very much and am hoping to watch more but I also understand you can't always have the video on because every horse needs your full undivided attention which is more important. 👌
Please don't apologize Caleb, the horse you're working on is more important than filming, filming for us is an added bonus, I found this video fascinating, so very happy you could help this lovely little lady, is this the first time you've done this? Thank you for giving us a little bit, I will say it was a tease😂take care Caleb.👍💙🐎
That's an interesting process, looks like a good way to stop further cracking. I can understand the issues with filming, shit happens. Good video anyway.
Heck, l think this is pretty neat! I imagine there are so many new procedures to fix hoofs today than yesterday. 👍 And just sayin, l don’t understand why people complain.. you’re doing your job the Best way you know how plus you said you will look for advice from others .. My experience with ppl who complain are unhappy so to ease their woes they’re mean to others .. so sad!
Using a hot staple welder is brilliant. Hoof material is biologic plastic and acts in many ways to plastic, and this obviously works. A dab of two part epoxy over the clipped of metal legs may prevent scratches. .....I know hoof crack repair is a bear, hopefully this technique of using a hot stapler will improve outcomes.
i appreciate that you put the horses first. you're a ferrier first and a content creator second.
I appreciate you taking the time to document, or even taking the time to video it for our viewing. Mahalo nui loa!!!!
This so interesting. Would be cool to see a follow up on how the weld held up and stuff. Thanks brother

Thank you, same as a mare I got straight from the track.
What a good idea to hold that hoof together - i hope you will do an update on the progress :)

Interesting, never seen that method to treat a crack, thanks.
Very interesting
Amazing work you do!!
The priority is the horse. The camera/us is only secondary.
if it works, it works...
What did you stick in your wrist, a branding iron? 😮
Surgery I had 2 torn tendons
Can you just somehow like weld or solder the hoof back together?
She looks long in the toe? New to the horse world. What would cause this? What about using a plastic resin?
Having a camera person so you don’t have to worry about it might be nice. Would be a good job for a young person, maybe!
Healthy? She looked foundered,
She isn't foundered
