This video really stands out and deserves more views. The use of closeups and medium shots is what sets it apart from even the best RUclips lawn care videos. In addition, you answered most of the questions that often arise when watching a newer product video. You seem sincere and not full of ego, false optimism or caffeine! I think you should produce more lawn care videos!
I am just an average homeowner with a new toy. I had plenty of questions about it when shopping and thought I would share my experience. Thank you for the compliments.
awesome video. I am trying to convince the wife this would be a fun buy. We only have 2/3 acre lot and she is convinced it is too small a yard for a zero turn so your video will be a big help in convincing her. Second hurdle is she says riding mowers are for fat people only lol, again your video should be a great help bc you look to be in great shape. Thanks!
Brad Chastain If you ever have problems with your batteries not holding a charge you can buy lithium ion batteries to replace the lead acid ones to get better performance.
looks ok for a smaller yard. everyone who gets on a zero-turn mower for the first time has a learning curve. when I first started it looked like I was chasing snakes😜🐍. I have 4+ acres with only 8 pecan trees and a couple of sheds so it's not for me. my yard is not smooth or flat and takes @4 hrs with a 60" deck hustler x.
Yeah it is definitely not for that type of terrain. I don’t know how they claim and test there runtimes but I would be shocked if it got the full 3 acres on a single charge…maybe just a light cut, but it definitely makes mowing more enjoyable.
@@bradchastain2456 I'm sure it wouldn't last in my yard. I have to wear earplugs with my beast so less noise would be great. I also burn @ 5 gallons of gas to do the whole yard.
It was a little over 4K. I have mowed a few times this season already and it seems to be doing good. I have kept it plugged up in a shed that stays a little over freezing in the winter. Ryobi is coming out I’m with a newer model that will have removable lithium batteries and more power. This one is definitely all I need and more…so far.
Would suggest checking into the removable batteries model if you are planning to use it commercially. Gas definitely has more power than this one but like I said it is more than what I need for now and it’s a good comfortable ride.
You will definitely have power loss eventually it's not going to cut as good as it was new they're 5-year throwaways spend your money wisely all lawn mowers that they make nowadays are complete junk
The trick on lead acid batteries is to never let them go below 50% state of charge. When you reach that point, recharge and catch the rest of the yard. Once you go below 50% sulfation happens on the lead plates and starts to degrade the batteries at a much higher rate of degradation. If you follow this rule these lead acid batteries should give you at least 1000-1200 cycles (100%-50% cycles). Of course they don't really tell you that trick because they're interested in selling you a replacement set every two years. LiFePo4 batteries, on the other hand, can be run down to practically zero and you'll still get 3000-5000 cycles. The prices of LiFePo4 batteries have gone down so massively that it would make no sense to buy lead acid batteries next time they're due for replacement. The cool thing about owning a 48V zero turn is you can hook up a solar panel, an MPPT charge controller and an inverter and operate your power tools or a window air conditioner while you're not mowing your yard.
This mower is total garbage. My son bought the same model last year and it worked fine for the season. Kept it on charge over the winter and it wouldn't run for more that 1/2 acre before shutting down. Luckily HomeDepot and Ryobi warrantied it and sent it back to the factory for refurbishment at no charge. After 3 months, they informed him they "lost" the mower and offered him a full refund in the form of a Ryobi credit which he refused. HD then issued him a $4,800 store credit.
Wow, at least they made it right for him and warranties/credited him. I’m on my second mowing season and mine is still good. That’s crazy they lost it but it might have been for the best. Did he try the cub cadet lithium model or go with gas for replacement?
@@bradchastain2456Yes, I was also surprised they didn't try to haggle with him and pro-rate the usage. As a matter of fact, he paid about $4600 and got re-imbursed for $4,800. He's going with either a gas powered Cub Cadet or Ariens Zero turn.
I know gasoline will out run and out perform this machine but for the average homeowner it will do fine. I am happy with it so far. Thanks for your input.
I agree, its definitely getting their tho. In the next 10 years maybe it will be the same . but gasoline engines has more power and last longer for cuts.
I have this in the 75ah version plus a gas garden tractor and there is nothing the gas tractor can do that this can’t. It cuts the gas much faster and has the hauling power equal to the gas tractor. The gas tractor hasn’t been out of the shed since I got this. However, after two seasons I had to replace all 4 batteries for $149 each. I now have a Power Pulse desulphanator on the batteries so hopefully the new set will last longer. Good luck with yours.
@@Nell1pj2 thanks for the feedback. That’s good to know. I would love an update after a while on the Power Pulse desulfator to see if it helps with yours.

I’d probably like more info on that! I will have to do some research. So far so good. 🤞🏻

Brad, I actually put the Power Pulse on the old batteries at the end of the second season hoping I could extend their life but it didn’t work.
