I have already visited once. Well preserved location. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Best place for bird watching. I suggest going to sanctuary first. Afterwards you can see bird cages there in the park.
The bird sanctuary in itself is an expansive place with kilometers of winding trekking trails. If you are quiet and attentive, it is possible to see quite a number of birds and other small animals like the malabar squirrel. There is a small garden where you can see medicinal plants and also a butterfly park with different varieties of butterflies. A small animal park is, also there, with a few birds and snakes too.
