Not to defend concord but you can't compare a regular game dev with Valve who effectively shoved the game down to the libraries of hundreds of thousands players. For free. The marketing advantage is astonishing. But yes, it goes by the game's own merit from there. Edit: alright, alright, I see, I had no idea Concord was published by Sony, that's a behemoth of its own, and yes most players come from other players invites, not Valve directly.
@@RealRushinRussian valve does not invite players . other players invite most of the new players and I think concord also allowed you to invite atleast 4 of your friends for free during their beta
@@RealRushinRussian I could say a lot, but most important thing is, Concord was worked on since overwatch came out, and they are owned by Sony, so there is no excuse for that. I think those points are enough to say that they are comparable, and it was still entirely concords fault for the flop, but there ofc are more reasons of why Concord flopped
@@RealRushinRussian Concord have Sony to back them up and Sony is definitely bigger than Valve. But Sony themselves seem to not care about how the game is perceived and they didn't even do a PR damage control around the DEI stuff that people were talking about. While Valve they took a careful approach of handing invites slowly to more people and let the word of mouth spread by itself. By doing this, they can control the amount of people playing the game while stress-testing the server. Also, Concord's mistake is to release a paid hero shooter game while other games are free to play. Deadlock is going to be released as a free-to-play game too.

It's funny to me that Charlie basically had his own dedicated rival in each match: the guy with the cowboy hat in Game 1, Jason in Game 2, and the poor soul with the katana in Game 3.
A really funny quirk about this game is in the hero menu on the main menu, you can take a look at some of the characters backstories. Most of the backstories are really basic right now, like maybe a paragraph of text if your unlucky and the only one who has any amount of text is seven, which doesn't tell you much about the character itself. But my point isn't all of that, if you go take a look at Yamato for whatever reason she has a lot of text. but it's all in Japanese by default as opposed to every other character who's backstories are in English it gave me a good laugh when I first saw it
the game isn't even in open early access and that's what makes it funny, a lot of people still don't know how to even play this game, because the access is so obscure, and yet it just peaked at 127k players.
game actually looks fun af. I'm sure we'll look back at this video years from now having all the basic knowledge of the game and cringe at this gameplay lmao
Charlie playing turret lady and winning with four abilities is insane. Meanwhile, I get stuck in games for an hour with 45k souls for everybody on the team. Good shit.
It is very cluttered, yea. But at the same time, the clutters give you info on why you can't do the things you should be able (silence effect, dash-jump mistiming popup, in-animation states). It does take some getting used to to filter out the clutters; here's hoping they improve it on release.

Deadlock looks like it will be big for a while because people just want bland and uninteresting gameplay with shitty character designs, I guess.

Nice to see valve doing some work instead of just focusing on steam. This game looks pretty solid. Also happy they stopped the bots and cheaters in tf2 and gave it a bunch of bug fixes while adding a lot of community content to the core game in the latest update. I hope they keep adding support and content to older games while making new stuff that players want. Seems they learned their lesson from the disastrous launch of artifact and are giving their playerbase fun games to look forward to.

Concord is officially popping off with 146 current players! They did it!
Concord is good
That sponsored stream from lvndmark really juiced those numbers!
One minute in and it's already leagues ahead of Concord
Like a legend right?.... Right?..... That joke was awful sorry
deadlock is still around 2 years until release and is already better than a multi million dollar game
Funnily enough people have been playing it in secret for months and it was still bigger 😂
A hero 3rd person shooter looks so weird and feels so off but won’t know until I play it
this might still not be your type of game but i've seen too much people writes it off when they saw the gameplay but ended up being addicted, so yeah you should try it first 👍
"Did I get any of them? Either of them? I don't think so" and they had already both died LMAO
The hardest time im having with this game is securing minions and denying theirs. I feel like as soon as the bubbles appear for even a milisecond, the enemy has already shot them.
I have heard from one source (somewhere) that the bullets from most of the guns are PROJECTILES rather than hitscans;
If you are having issues with shooting orbs, get closer to them, you _should_ be able to hit them more consistantly. BUT if that fails the sure-fire way to at least confirm your own is to melee the creeps. meleeing a creep auto picks-up the orb, taking out the guesswork
High velocity makes ur bullets go faster easier to secure
I've only watched 1.50 of this video and I'm already sure I'll watch all penguin's deadlock content
hey charlie you should talk about whats happening right now with risk of rain 2. gearbox basically screwed the whole game over and the whole community is in shambles
I hope he covers it
WHAT! what happened that gane is awesome
"Screwed the whole game over" - It's a bad dlc. What? There was a bunch of bugs but most of them got fixed in days. And most the other stuff that makes it a "Bad dlc" is nowhere near as bad as others make it out to be. Like 99% of bad reviews come down to "chef is underpowered, new items are underpowered, new elites are overpowered". Which is mostly just balancing issues that can be easily changed in time.
This game actually proves that it's concords fault that it flopped, not the consumers fault
@@RealRushinRussianit’s invite only and there was no marketing. the game marketed itself lmao (also it’s in alpha)
Really enjoying the recent videos. The less drama and twitch slop the better.
Loving these non streaming playthroughs. So much more down to earth

it always surprises me how good charlie is at shooters. like when i watched him play CSGO he was super good and he's great at deadlock playing for the first time
in the first 5 mins, I can see how villains are made
Concord dreams about being deadlock but sadly realizes it's an unrealistic dream 😂
0:40 bro is literally playing baptiste from ow
First three characters in that list have more personality in their design than the entire Concord roster.
But my point isn't all of that,
if you go take a look at Yamato for whatever reason she has a lot of text.
but it's all in Japanese by default as opposed to every other character who's backstories are in English
it gave me a good laugh when I first saw it
the ui is kinda messy. There is a lot of information on screen at the same time
Agreed, but that tends to happen a LOT in MOBAs. It'll get streamlined before release
It’s an alpha so I wouldn’t judge things like that
Concord crawled so deadlock could run
Valve early access is still better than Sony's full release concord
the game isn't even in open early access and that's what makes it funny, a lot of people still don't know how to even play this game, because the access is so obscure, and yet it just peaked at 127k players.
It's Deadlock's world, Concord is just living in it

Charlie playing turret lady and winning with four abilities is insane.
Meanwhile, I get stuck in games for an hour with 45k souls for everybody on the team. Good shit.
Watching charlie walk like right into the towers every time was so fun
Is it just me, or is it too visually cluttered? I hope they reduce it in the official launch.
It's way less than something like valorant which is a tactical shooter with very low ttk, you'll be fine
its perfect
Idk coming from TF2 it is a massive downgrade in clarity
It is very cluttered, yea. But at the same time, the clutters give you info on why you can't do the things you should be able (silence effect, dash-jump mistiming popup, in-animation states). It does take some getting used to to filter out the clutters; here's hoping they improve it on release.
Tbh actually playing the game it doesn’t really feel like an issue
TF2 has fallen, billions now must play deadlocked
Its fun. I think its a worth successor. TF2 still my favorite game tho, its just too far gone.
I wouldve rather had a tf3 but valve is alergic to 3 so deadlock is cool too
