Just finished - I got sad thinking it's a very short interview but the moment Aamna said there is part two I was thrilled - Fawad has so much to say - his intellect and humility is endearing - Both Mahira and Fawad are so loved because success does not get to their heads they could have easily milked their fame like many but they chose not to - Can't wait for part two....
He needs a good stylist to match his boyish charms. Leather jackets are meant for him. no button up shirts , ties coats etc Plz. Try Versace or Gucci.

Excuse me! Fawad is arrogant hence didn’t appear in any of dramas as he thought they are too small for him now. Doesn’t give interviews to local channels up till now that too for his movie promotions. Haven’t you watched Badar Khalil s interview in which she said Fawad wanted a front row in HUM awards and she was sent back even though she received life achievement award in the very same show. There are many more stories. Mahira is very down to earth but Fawad is not, plz correct it.

I like how he is so self aware and doesn’t indulge in any delusional ideas about the movies changing the world unlike the majority of actors. Very very few actors like him. He is one of those few actors who has fame chasing him while he keeps running away from it.

Just by watching him speak, we know why he is the number 1 Pakistani celebrity. It’s incredible how he is still the most sought after star from the country despite staying away from the media for 5+ years. A true Superstar!
@Nomi well, that seems to be your personal opinion. The proof is in the pudding as far as Fawad’s stardom is considered. There are very few actors who command the kind of respect and adulation he does, despite not being in touch with his audience for 5+ years. He is the highest paid actor in Pakistan and it’s not for nothing.

Amna remained focused upon fawad and mahira's chemistry, unfortunately apparently she has not followed fawad's journey before humsafar properly. He has shared most screen time with Sanam baloch. Dastaan, akbari asgari and kuch pyaar ka pagalpan bhi tha paved his way for stardom. These were complicated stories demanding a lot of thoughtful input.
Whereas humsafar's euphoria was more because of the music and the carefully cut shots. At that time mahira was completely new and didn't hv command on her craft (now she has polished no doubt) . The credit goes to sarmad for having spun a fairy tale from a very basic storyline.
On the other hand it is sad how in sanam's work gets neglected, daastan should hv been mentioned as the project that established fawad as an actor n for that of course credit also goes to sanam. In her peak era days there were no awards. She deserves a special award for her work in daastan.
Well said. Mahira can never match the chemistry Fawad shared with Sanam Baloch. She was in a league of her own and I would love to see them as a pair again
I agree. Yes Fawad had awesome chemistry with mahira in Humsafar but i feel it was Sarmad's great direction as well. Fawad can easily romance and look good with any goodlooking talented actress because of his unmissable charm and aura. He is that good and effective on screen. That is why his work with sanam baloch in Dastan was brilliant as well. Sanam was outstanding as Bano and their romance and chemistry was at par with that of Humsafar. That is why I never single out fawad and mahira as having THE best chemistry. Another reason why mahira and fawad looked good was because both have screen presence which is not very common in TV actors. Its just that some are made for 70mm screen. I actually found Mahira having good chemistry with SRK as well in Raees sp. in songs otherwise her acting was average in the movie. Yes Fawad and Mahira would look good in their upcoming movie as both r made for big screen and have good timing with each other.
Behad, the telefilm, starring Fawad, Nadia Jamil and Sajal was also a nice watch.
His drama Numm with Sania Saeed did not tuen out that great. The actress paired with him was a newbie who did not perform well plus the drama did not take off.
I totally agree with you. I don't know why Sanam baloch's work is always neglected by the mainstream media. She is a class apart when it comes to acting. She is superb. She has worked with Fawad in three projects, I don't think others have shared much screen with him. Fawad was in his freshman years at that time and Sanam baloch was an established actor at that time. Hope to see them on screen again
Yeah you are absolutely right why they neglect Sanam Baloch Thier onscreen couple is much strong as compared to mahira I feel if he n Sanam Baloch sign another project n work together you will see the difference between them but unfortunately we fans 😔 just wanted to see them together onscreen. Amna has this constant cute smile on her face during the whole interview, literally fan-girling over one of the most popular actors throughout 😁! It’s such a different side to her usually very curt and direct line of questions directed at the people being interviewed. I loved the content and the vibe of the whole thing. Way to go!!

I saw him in crowd when he came to promote Kapoor n sons in my college in Delhi university. I was star struck then and even now I admire his acting skills and his choice of scripts. I am always looking forward to his work, recently was awe struck to see him in ms marvel. He will bounce back with good choices. Always rooting for him since last 7 years. Also take your time and enjoy how wish to work. Ps. Fawad is not aging. He is like a fine wine. Can write more but I think this is more than enough to express.

By far the best interview of his. I love that he isn't always out there with interviews and when he does do one, it's very real, organic and a proper conversation. He's one of the most down to earth persons which comes through in his acting.

What a coincidence that last night I started watching HUMSAFAR and now FAWAD KHAN Interview after a long time Amna very good timing to bring him back on TV, FAWAD KHAN has so eye pleasing personality that I don't think our Drama Industry will ever have again, no matter how many series many of actors doing but the Chemistry, Romantic Roles, Scripts can be light up TV screens again like FAWAD KHAN Era.
I think fawad is the only star who is admired by both men and women equally. He is the best. People usually do not talk much about daastaan but it was actually his best performance till day. And what to say about his chemistry with sanam baloch. Unmatched. Millions of their fans want to see them again on screen

I thought that Mahira and Fawad had an amazing chemistry but its surprising when I realize that they did just one play together
Fawad generally has amazing chemistry with all his co stars. Be it Sanam baloch in dastan or Sanam saeed in ZGH or Sonam in Khoobsoorat.
Also in my opinion Maya Ali and Osman khalid butt had that energy and chemistry on screen that can be somewhat close to Fawad and Mahira.
Agree..that's a true honest to ones craft ..to establish chemistry with whoever is the actor other side..it's about the character not the actor playing it

Mere humsafar has hugeeeeee fanbase.Just because u don't like it doesn't mean it's not.25 million views plus trending in 5 diff countries both on twitter as well as trending number one in country like India is insane . Humsafar story too was no marvel.And yup Hamza is thousand times better than Ashar.
And the USB of humsafar and mere humsafar was the chemistry as both have typical storyline of zaalim saas and inocent bahu.Saying Farhan and Hania lack chemistry just doesn't make any sense.Sajal and Ahad were good but are faaaar away from having chemistry that Farhan and Hania yakeen ka safar had good story too.Anyway it would have been successful.But it is the chemistry in MH wich made it so successful as the story was nothing new.

I am excited for "The Legend Of Maula Jutt" like crazy, the trailer looks epic. This is an event film which got me excited on same level as an Avengers movie. I am glad that they made the film in Punjabi language this will enable the creators of this film to keep the essence of the titular character as well as what the movie is about. Fawad Khan & Hamza Ali Abbasi look phenomenal.
I was just going to say 46 mins and 6 seconds isn't enough of this man. Glad there's part two of this interview. Now when will that come out?? I missed seeing Fawad Khan onscreen. He isn’t exactly humble as everyone makes him out to be. He’s in fact a very proud man with high standards & acutely aware of his star power, knows exactly what he wants & what he deserves. That is why, he’d rather wait, than work in mediocre projects. He waits because he knows, he has a huge fanbase that’ll patiently wait for him, and they do. His fans unconditional love for him, is a privilege. He has always been cautious not to hype up his role, so as to not feel disappointed, if at all he fails.
He is indeed the smartest actor in Pakistani cinema. I don’t know anyone in that industry who’s even half as good as him, trust me I’ve followed a few.
Pakistanis should treasure & value this gem.

Fawad Khan will always be an iconic personality in the industry.
It’s very important to understand Fawad Khan’s capacity as actor. His personality is made for 70mm screen because he has that projection power. Bollywood was his big hope but politics ruined his dreams. He would have become megastar but unfortunately it was bad timing. Top on that in his home ground producers/directors/writers didn’t have outstanding scripts to justify his calibre. He is great romantic hero but couldn’t utilised his prime age in 30s. If we have to believe as he said, he is lazy or in other words peaky then it has harmed his career. He knows his power so he can’t settle on cliche stories. Content needs to be created to justify his talent. Excuse me Amna , you are interviewer but you are blushing and smiling unnecessarily throughout the interview. Seems like you are talking to your crush 😀

I honestly wish to see the day when Indians would finally realise that the world really does not revolve around them in any sense of the word.

If he had continued in Indian films, all the other Mumbai heros, stars, would have got a run for their money. They would have died of frustration and depression. Fawad is a superbly natural and refind actor, and he has Stunningly handsome personality and extremely beautiful looks.❤😊

Fawad Ji is wonderful to listen to. I really enjoyed hearing his perspective and really like that he rejects all the labels that Aamina Ji is constantly trying to apply to him throughout the conversation. Fawad Ji comes across as a thoughtful man who is in the process of becoming comfortable in his own skin. Acting and then being interviewed about it, is exposing and makes a person vulnerable from the outside and inside. Therefore, I think it is a really brave thing that actors do. I really like Pakistani actors! They are so grounded in reality and have such a down-to-earth approach to their work This is not the case for superstars or Indian or Hollywood. Fawad Ji dismisses the notion of legacy creation. 'It's just a job!!'. And he's right!! Of course, being an actor is more connected to personhood, passion, and creativity than other forms of work but it is work nonetheless that feeds families. Uss ok art hi rehenay dein. Don't make an actor's choices life or death situations or ones they have to constantly justify.
It is also interesting to listen to Fawad Ji talk about the experience of making content being entirely different from viewing the finished product. So many great actors talk about this. Tim Roth an English actor once said that when he has finished a project, that's it for him. His experience of it is over. Now it belongs to the viewing public and it is up to them to work out what they think of it. I think this is true and we see it all the time when actors talk about their work. Most recently the cast of Lefangay. When we saw them all talking about the film, they are sharing their experience of making it. They all clearly had soooo much fun! But that experience doesn't have any relationship with the finished product or the public's experience of watching it. I agree with Fawad Ji, actors should do work that makes them feel joy, that they have fun doing or that helps them grow as artists and not worry so much about its importance. After all TV/Film are just ways for us to kill our spare time of an evening or between other events in our lives.....
I will humbly suggest to Aamina Ji and Hassan Ji that they might consider the fact that if they are interviewing someone they really love or indeed don't care much for it shouldn't show as much as it does. I felt at times that all the gushing adoration was a bit uncomfortable for Fawad Ji.

Wow I have to say. The worst part of this interview = comment section! this was a great interview. He’s being himself and authentic. He’s raised the standard of dramas and romance, at least for me and many others. He’s chosen not to do too much of the same and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that

Very honest person Fawad is about tv drama of today's, awards shows and social media influence on peoples mind ...such a genuine person and it's always so good to see amna doing an interview such a well researched and well spoken person and Fawad has better chemistry with Sanam balouch than Mahira Khan it's just hamsafer was on husband wife relationship so it's clicks well
