- This video shows how I installed the center console and shifter cover on a 1971 C3 Corvette. I also install the brake cover and slider. I also talk about how to install the vintage air controller in the same place as the original factory heater controls.
thanks for sharing this.i am at this stage now. yes it is quite difficult.thanks for your channel and tips.i will continue to see your other post!!!
You did a great job on the center console. It’s another task to check off! Nice job
Thanks man! I’m doing my best.
I admire what you have done and it is always good to give thanks for all you are able to do. 🙏🏾nosale
Finally getting back into my 73, THANK YOU for this great video! BIG help getting on track for this reassembly. Your camera footage, and narration is clear, and easy to follow. Wish I had your wiring skills! Salute! And YES, I totally appreciate how challenging this work is! Fingers crossed, I will knock this out tomorrow. I'm wondering how tough it will be, to install the radio, and gauge panel with the Vintage Air duct work back there.
@@frankleavitt4718 Good to hear. Glad it’s helpful. We all need to encourage one another!
@@thedrivewayC3 Yes indeed! Just saw your response. I added a thought on how tough it was to install the gauge panel, and radio, with all the duct work from Vintage Air. I was doing some test fits, seemed challenging. Thanks again for your great videos, and tutorials!
@@frankleavitt4718 A heat gun on the ducts does wonders.
Not too close! Hair dryer.
@@thedrivewayC3 Thanks!
Very nice job, having done this, I agree it is not easy. The thing that makes C3s interesting and hard to work on is that they are all a little different in terms of assembly. I enjoy your videos and honesty about your projects. Keep up the good work.
Spot on
Very helpful video. I’m not here yet, so saving for future reference
Nice work, the left over circuits can eventually power your trans brake and the drag chute solenoids!
@@justinpakarno4346 That’s right. Also, rocket guns for LA traffic.
Good , I did the same thing last summer and man it’s was hard to line up the holes for the screws due to the dynamat and dynamat extreme. Great product but very sticky and thick . Good luck . Thanks for the great videos
I’m sure you’re enjoying that extra heat blocking, but putting these old cars back together, especially with some OEM and some 3rd party parts is tough. I’ve had to mod nearly every single component, but at least it’s getting done.
So for the fiber optic rear, the red colored lenses go on the very rear (near the taillight)? I know you need those to make the brake lights red instead of clear. Are they touching or near the light in the taillight? Thanks, I will be tackling this project soon myself. Very helpful!
@@donaldriley9724 There are some fiber optic end-covers that are in the different colors. Some have color at the light and some are colored at the display. I’ll try to make a video that shows both front and rear.
@@thedrivewayC3 thanks! I am guessing (before I get into mine) that the front ones have the colors on the console (red, white and blue) where the color is changed and the rear must change the color at the rear taillight because from this video it looks like the fiber optic comes straight into the lens (presumably already red). Thanks again. This will help me with my gameplan on tackling mine.
@@donaldriley9724 Correct. The rears have Red lenses for the brakes and clear for the license plate.
