Thanks for linking my video here :) I appreciate it. This is a pretty challenging arrangement so if anyone has any trouble feel free to send me questions by leaving a comment on my video. All the best to anyone attempting this piece!
It is fairly tricky, especially if you are a beginner. I'd suggest you to start with the slow tempo version and try to focus on developing the muscle memory while playing. Personally, I find it easier to play such parts without thinking about them and just relying on muscle memory that you develop from practicing that part over and over. Basically, practice that part until your fingers move on their own without you thinking about it
I'm a campfire guitarist, with developed skill. Still find it difficult to play. Maybe the cause is I'm an emotional guy, so I often forget some note, haha.
X in fingerstyle covers usually represents a wrist thump or a string slap with the thumb. In this case it's a wrist thump, Nicholas Norrie made this arrangement, you can check out his cover here: ruclips.net/video/iPWEWxbRCj4/видео.html At about 2 minutes, he starts doing the wrist thump so you can see how it's done :)
GuitarTabsYT I've saw from Nicholas Norrie, its a little bit hard but the numbers with this sign , just like he was pressing it and the intro, it didn't seem he was doing a harmonics. How'd he do it?
Tune ur B into a C. I believe if you tune it half a step higher it's correct. (It should sound like the 5th fret on the G string) I'm not an expert on guitar/tuning so anyone please feel free to correct if im wrong hehe
If you have no clue how to play fingerstyle, this video is a great introduction to it: ruclips.net/video/8UU4yMkDdBw/видео.html If you are new to fingerstyle, then this arrangement will be quite difficult for you
You can use a guitar tuning app on your phone to help you out. Most want you to pay for a premium version where you can specify the tuning, but I'm sure there are some free ones where you can do custom tunings as well!

I've seen this cover on Nicholas' channel already, so great that you made a tutorial.
Would it work if instead of doing a different tuning could I keep it in standard tuning and then play each note on the B string a fret up?
As long as it sounds the same, it would, yeah
Beautiful!
