Dan, thanks for the shout out, I love my APX7000. I never dreamed how good the audio quality could be. Also thanks for shipping out the antenna so fast.
jperkins157 Always happy to give my customers shout-outs Joseph :) I'm so glad you got your APX and are enjoying it. Yes the audio quality of an APX is INCREDIBLE! I know you'll put it to good use buddy! Congrats and welcome to the APX club! :)
Thanks for all your video's Dan! To all others who watch these, Dan is great to work with. He knows his stuff, is into details and is great at communicating what he knows and what he's doing. So far I've sent three XTS's with more going to him for various features and upgrades. Again, highly recommended A+
Love your videos man. They are very informative to a guy fairly new to the radio world. I just got my GMRS and next up is my Ham. Keep up the good work!
UPDATE ON THE NEXT VIDEO: I just wanted to let you guys know that I am having THE WORST TIME uploading my videos to RUclips. The Everio Media Browser program software that came with my camera is not uploading, so I now have to back the videos up to my desktop and upload to RUclips through RUclips's screwed-up uploading thing. This video took 297 MINUTES to upload a nine-minute video! In that time, it slows my pc and bogs it down really bad, so I usually upload overnight and just let it run. I have just shot a new video and am in the process of uploading the new video. The video will focus on issues with liquidated and used 1500/2500 radios that have had issues that I have never seen brought up on any forum. I will be addressing them when the upload is completed for you to make any potential buyers aware of the hidden (and not-so-hidden) issues that can be present with those used surplussed radios. Stay tuned. I will probably have it up on Tuesday. That video has taken over 327 minutes to upload. It is an important video that you guys need to be made aware of. Not all 2500's and 1500's have issues present, but some do and they can cause very dangerous issues if they are in the public safety sector. Also, I am limited on annotations for some reason. Annotating used to be easy but now it is hell! I'm doing all I can for you guys. Please bear with me :)
ONE ADDITIONAL NOT TO ALL WHO COMMUNICATE WITH ME: I will no longer be using the text feature on my iPhone. It is too time-consuming and I suck at texting and usually wind up cussing over texting back. I have also found it to be dangerous and frustrating when I'm out and about. I just can't deal with that anymore. For those of you who are texting me texting; PLEASE....you have my phone number; please just dial it while the phone is in your hand :) If I am unavailable, I always return calls and emails.
My XTS5000 that i got off of eBay for about 1k bundle and it seems to turn off and then back on sometimes not that much could it be liquidated ? I got from Vcode7 from California.
TheBmarquez I'm not sure who his source is for radios, but it was probably a liquidator. There's really nothing wrong with liquidated radios if they come from a liquidator who is selling them for an agency who took care of the radios. You might want to give Vince a call. You could have a battery issue, but if it is not the battery, it should never turn off by itself.
I have an IMPRESS battery that still has 100% cap from yesterdays IMPRESS Recondition. I saw the comments about IMPRESS could it be because Its an IMPRESS?
TheBmarquez It is very possible, but usually, you'd be getting a low battery chirp after pushing PTT. Sometimes Impress batteries can show full battery on the radio, but still be bad. The low battery chirp is a good indicator as to whether it is your battery or not.
TheBmarquez If the radio is powering off intermittently and you are not getting a low battery chirp on PTT when you key the mic, the radio has an issue. Tuning will not make a radio power off intermittently. You should get a hold of Vince. He may know a fix.

Its still brand new and have only had it for about 3 months. If its the radio is their anyway to fix it like tuning?
