    Love this bike! I had no problems single-tracking it and I don't have a ton of off-road experience. It is the most ridable and enjoyable bike I have ever owned in any category.

      @@brisbanemotorcycles So, two years in, the Tuareg has proven to have lived up to it's promise and some. Apart from proper minor servicing and adding a bit of luggage, it has cost "Shirt buttons" to run, it's been reliable and has carried me on two summers worth of adventures in France, on and off road with ease. I'm amazed that there are not more out there, but I'll be not looking to change any time soon. 👍👍.

    I just come back from Windsor and Mitch showed me this model.
    All the things that the CRF450L I bought didn't have!
    There are a few things to add though.
    This bike comes stock with KYB single side cartridge forks & shock. Be keen to see one fitted with the Ohlins FKA115 & AP661 kit.
    There's no chain guide fitted on the swingarm, but there's a pair of mounting holes.
    Michelin Tracker knobby tyres are rated for the speed that the bike is capable of and so much better off-road.
    XC Gear make a polymer mount for the handlebars for soaking up the vibrations.
    Finally an Akro pipe and slip-on.
    I couldn't find the accessories list, but I guess a call to B&B Off Road will fix some of that. No-one mentions the service intervals either.

    • @brisbanemotorcycles
      @brisbanemotorcycles  2 года назад

      Hey Michael! cool to hear you went into the store! you should have taken it for a spin!! we definitely want to get the Akro exhaust and better tyres. In regards to the suspension the KYB was actually really good! I’m sure if we spent some time setting it up (spring rates valving ect) the stock units would be capable of a lot! agree in regards to the other bits and bobs. we will chip away at it 🍻

      @@brisbanemotorcycles I just found the world owner's group. Good resource for stuff.
      Some mention an issue with the ignition stutter working between the programs. Just the sort of thing that gets annoying in time..
      There's also reports of a coolant leak around the water pump.
      H&E make guards and racks to suit.

      First oil change is at 1000 km, then it's 10,000km oil change intervals, so sayeth my owners manual. I plan on doing 3000-4000km oil changes

    • @brisbanemotorcycles
      @brisbanemotorcycles  2 года назад +1

      hey mate! we have not, we rode the Norden 901, ultimately we found this bike to be the lightest most agile and nimble feeling adventure bike we have ever ridden, a few more horsepower would be nice but not essential

    Hi,before you want to ride a bike,please read the user manual,do the proper settings (select the appropriate ride mode,the ABS,the level of TC) .Tuareg is very customizable,there is no point to ride offroad in urban mode,par exemple.

      We will do a direct comparison to the Desert x when we get our hands on one. It will be interesting to see how it shapes up. For the price point this is easily one of the best bikes I’ve ridden and you’d be surprised how easy it is to jump and flick around. Super fun and capable bike for the price. Super excited to compare it to the Desert X and see how it stacks up!

    • @brisbanemotorcycles

      true - a lot of other adventure bikes need a good amount spent on suspension, the electronic package is on par with the other European competitors. would be cool to see Yamaha do a gen 2 T7 and try one up the euro players! i think when you are getting close to 20k people are happy to pay a bit more if they see the value in the added benefits
