Barbie Extra was the line that got me back at Barbie again. Sure Extra didn't always hit and had plenty of questionable designs, but I appreciate the fact Mattel was at least trying to put effort with Barbie especially since at the time, they were going so cheap with her. The poseable and diverse bodies, the outfit that had layers and accessories and weren't just printed dresses. It may not have been up to the quality of other doll lines but it was a lot for Barbie and just as they finally got it good..
I do hope that they can come up with something to fill the void of the Extra line if it's going to be cancelled. While the movie dolls are good, I personally want them to explore modern Barbiecore of the early and late 2000s. That's the Barbie I grew up with.
These canceled rumors pop up every so often, for every brand and line. We just won't know til something official comes out.
Barbie extra just need better designing cuz most of it look confusing and tacky
I thought you might have a definitive answer, but at least I now know it is not 100% confirmed. I thought the Extra Fly was one of the best waves yet, and they even lowered the price a bit here in Canada (from $40 to $35 CAD). I'm not sure how well the Extras sold here because I ended up getting most of mine on sale, but I like them. If the line does get cancelled, there will have to be something in the same price range to fill the middle gap. Like, it can't just be Fashionistas, playsets with non-articulated dolls, a few MTMs, and collector dolls.

3:26 well OMG dolls aren’t really the bratz of this generation. They were never the toppest tier doll line at any point and they never really were the dolls that every kid wanted with thousands of articles and top hot doll talks. Plus MGA had said so many times that LOL is getting less and less sales and OMGs fall in that categorie which is also why they aren’t releasing a lot and doing different gimmicks to try and keep them on the market. So I definitely wouldn’t say they have no chance of being discontinued
Well, if it's true, it seems like everyone is cancelling various doll lines :( I'm really sad that Fierce Omg is cancelled ;( The two new ones that we were supposed to get were the best looking ones ever and I really wanted them < :( I'm also sad that the holiday/celebration RH dolls are cancelled. I really liked them. I don't understand these companies. I will be waiting to see if what you said is true that they are staying. I was interested in the new pink/blue wintery looking one. Hopefully it's just a rumor.

There not cancelling them I mean they just released Barbie extra fly in May and from what I seen if they are cancelling them because of the Barbie movie and going to make dolls just from the Barbie movie they are going to lose my business
