I have one of these, 2013 g37's they are fantastic in every way. 30 mpg highway, 328 hp, rear wheel drive. My buddy has a 2010 bmw 335i and my G37 is quicker and handles as good as the 335. Totally happy with this car, super fast and comfortable.
I still have a low milage 2009 g37 sedan. Such a smooth solid car. Put on wheel spacers and also put in eibach lowering springs. I wash it once a week and it still looks amazing
I test drove a G37S Sedan & then a G37 Journey Sedan & the Journey definitely rode better. It was still sporty & handled well, but took the bumps better.
i disagree when you say the ride is rough. i bought a brand new Altima a few years ago and I now have a 2012 G37x Sedan...this car rides 10x smoother and quieter than the Altima ever did and it's more comfortable. Gas mileage sucks though in comparison.
Nova Vasek The ride quality isn’t great compared to the competition. Other sport sedans like Lexus IS and Acura TL for example have better ride quality. It beats them in performance but they beat it in ride quality in my opinion. G37 is stiff and can be harsh on uneven and bumpy pavement. If you drive on those roads, you will see. it’s true because I owned one as a company car a while back and aside the ride quality and growly engine, it was superb car.
He drove the sport model. With the “sport” suspension, bigger brakes, different seats, and paddle shifters. It’s a rough ride, the regular g37 is much more comfortable.
I have a 2008 G35 S, red sedan and I love it. I've had it since Dec. 2011 and I haven't had to replace anything yet but my tires, due to enjoying it a little too much lol anyhow this guy is clearly not a Infiniti fan and doesn't need to be doing this review. He failed to mention the larger disc brakes which are darn good to me, the back end styling is sleek and curvy. I love having the nav system it is very helpful bc I travel often. The larger 18" rims are definitely designed well and the back
im on the fence on getting either a 2012 g37s coupe or a g37s sedan im more concerned about exterior looks more than anything i just hate the chrome spoiler the coupe has but that is a easy after market fix but out of the 2 what would look the best

Test drive thus car today in the sedan, I've driven and owned a c300 and a 328i and this infinity is so much better. It is really fun but still elegant and luxurious
Are you going on the highway in second gear? If you keep it under 2000 rpm you'll get the best fuel economy, but if you're always flooring it and revving it up, it'll go way down.
There is not adequate rear leg room in these cars. One of the reasons I hesitate on getting one of these. I have a 2005 G35 sedan now and there's just not enough room back there for passengers since I have my driver's seat all the way back. The reviewer failed to mention the awesome brakes that come with the sport package. That's one of the big things about the sport package.
I want to get a G37 sedan with a 6 speed manual transmission, but they are apparently FREAKING RARE can't find one within a 200 mile radius of my area using some car buying webpages. :(
The manual transmission in the g37 sucks anyway. The 7 speed auto is way better. If I were you I would either get the auto or look elsewhere for a manual.
bokkey45 How exactly does the manual G37 suck? Becuase it's .1 seconds slower? Rowing your own gears in a sport sedan beats an autotragic anyday, If you are an Enthusiast. So jesman1988 , the 6 speed is worth it.
jesman1988 The clutch isn't terribly good, and there is a bit of vibration in the shifter. If you get the manual just upgrade the clutch and you get a very nice sports sedan.

Yeah all Infiniti's comes with this option, if the driver delays to respond to an emergency stop the lasers at the front of the car will decrease the speed and apply the brakes for you in order to keep a safe distance from the car in front of you, the vehicle will also come to a complete stop if traffic comes to a halt, it will then accelerate once traffic begin move all while keeping a safe distance from the car in front of you. The vehicle basically drives itself. lol
Not the best review this guy talks like he just had an expresso and a red bull at once second I've taken a g37s journey for a drive and what he forgot to mention it has DS mode like a 335i which I like better than a six speed. Yeah and the 335i is admittedly a great car. It is wonderful to drive. Unfortunately you have to pay a lot more for it and you have to suck down the reliability issues and servicing costs. That is part of the ownership experience.
I feel the coupe (which is pronounced COO-PAY not COOP) looks a bit weird, while the sedan looks more proper. It looks like Infiniti designed the g37 to be a sedan, and simply took the 2 back doors off to make it a coupe.
Good review. I'm looking at getting a G35, maybe an '07 if I'm lucky. But I'm having issues with the space available in the backseat plus the pricing. Looking for something $10,000 or less. 1.) any ideas where to shop?, and 2.) does Infiniti have a G35 with more backseat legroom?
@zpconn2 Thanks, bro. I actually started looking at Audi but am looking at Volkswagen as its made by Audi but costs much less. And this will be my first car I'm buying since '00. I'm probably gonna lease to own: '12-'14 Passat.
@AreEssScape I wanted an Infiniti for a good while, but now I'm looking at the Audi family. I have my eyes on the 2012-13 Audi A4. Besides a slew of other things it has over the G35-37, it has a much sturdier build and more passenger room. And of course, I don't plan on buying it with cash, so there's no $10,000 limit now.
You are crazy to be looking at anything German if you are not flushed with cash. They are nice to drive but they will brake and when they do you will pay dearly. Dont do it. But I'm sure you will because that's how humans are. We do what we want and then cry later.
That's what I did. I love everything about BMWs except all the very expensive hassle I had. And I talked with friends and colleagues who had and have BMWs and they said that's the little problem. Are they great to drive. O yes. But...well..uh....
@fierfly25 Uh no, completely wrong. Japan is the only country in the world that offers some Infiniti products as Nissan's, and even then they belong to Nissan's Premium factory which is another division set aside for their higher end products from Nissan. Infiniti has been a Global brand since 2009. The G is only a skyline in Japan, no where else. Lexus and Infiniti are known as luxury manufacturers world wide. They dont vary from country to country, they are independent branches globally.
Infiniti cost the same as most of its competitors here in the US like Audi, BMW, Lexus & Mercedes Benz. It would only make sense that the G37 be competitively priced to the BMW 335i or Mercedes C350 in Australia. And Austria doesn't even compare to the inflated prices of an Infiniti in Spain, China or even the Netherlands where some models can reach a whopping $100,000 +. Prices vary from country to country. Infiniti price's themselves competitively against their rivals.
It'll be hard to find an '07 G35 for around $10,000. You might probably get an '03 for that price. I'm saving up for a G35 myself as well. If you want a good rear legroom, get a sedan, coupé is pretty tight in the back. Check kbb.com and cars.com for cars in your area.
The Journey Sport package gives you the upgrades from the Sport 6MT. You get the brakes, seats, different steering tuning, suspension, wheels (I think), and paddle shifters in the automatic.
I wish someone gave me a car. Infiniti has good value, but I don't buy anything without planning to keep it long term (I have an old HTC Inspire that I'm gonna have for one to the years before getting a new phone); so naturally, I'm going for a car that'll last a good while. The Passat '12-'14 looks like the one. Of course, I'd prefer an Audi A/S4, but I'll have to pass on that because of price of course.
People in America have so much luck. In Germany it would be cost more...and the fuel prices are expensive, too. 1,71 EURO for 1 litre, not gallon, it makes 2,11$/litre.
@2pacisthegreatest nice try but not really, they messed up the editing on that part and made it quite difficult to hear him talk unless you are wearing headphones which i wasn't at the time, this did not happen in the other videos thro.

I am not a hater. I prefer the 335i's dynamics. But I am done with fixing what should be a totally reliable vehicle. I mean, they are not cheap. Hell, cheap cars are reliable these days! Who the hell ever heard of a Civic munching its transmission in 3 months?!
I do not agree with this guy, the ride is reasonably comfortable and well-balanced with the sport handling characteristics. How can a sport handling car be very comfortable ? Same as a passenger airplane cannot be a fighter.
7.1 surround sound headphones thank you. they fucked up with the background music too loud not like in their other videos you cant deny on that stop being a troll thx for commenting on my 7 months old post btw....
The G series and Infiniti's models as a whole need an exterior make-over IMO. Get away from the roundness and those bulging headlights, bring back the sleek style of the 03-07 G coupe and bring back the Q45. Do it Infiniti!
that 3.7 engine is a beast
In my opinion G coupes look better bone stock, but (when done right) modified sedans look 10x better.
This guy is wrong, the G sedan is just as beautiful as the coupe

I am not a hater. I prefer the 335i's dynamics. But I am done with fixing what should be a totally reliable vehicle. I mean, they are not cheap. Hell, cheap cars are reliable these days! Who the hell ever heard of a Civic munching its transmission in 3 months?!
No he is not...This car is as gorgeos as the coupe in its own way....
whos here after they heavily modified their G
This dude irritates me.

@sulivex same here!!!!!
editing fail at 1:10 can barely hear him since the song is so loud
I do not agree with this guy, the ride is reasonably comfortable and well-balanced with the sport handling characteristics. How can a sport handling car be very comfortable ? Same as a passenger airplane cannot be a fighter.
are these good for tall people? im 6' 5" and i need leg and head room. Im also interested in the coupe
@punkposer No, just average. I'm 5,9"
Why yes, this car is very linear. Indubitably
7.1 surround sound headphones thank you.
they fucked up with the background music too loud not like in their other videos you cant deny on that stop being a troll
thx for commenting on my 7 months old post btw....
This car is like $ 33,000. Lol. I want this to be MY first car. (I was given a car.. I didn't really work for my current car)
The G series and Infiniti's models as a whole need an exterior make-over IMO. Get away from the roundness and those bulging headlights, bring back the sleek style of the 03-07 G coupe and bring back the Q45. Do it Infiniti!
I ACTUALLY LOVE MY G SIR...U should be sued for talking so bad about a vehicle
