Back in 2016 was when the world lost music legend Prince. However, the Grammy and Oscar winner left his mark not only on the planet but his home state of Minnesota too. His massive compound, Paisley Park was built here in 1987 and it consisted of a private home and a studio, spanning 65,000 square feet. After his passing the space has also become a memorial for fans to visit. Prince also lived in other beautiful mansions over the years, some in Los Angeles and even one right here in Toronto. We’ll check out a few of Prince’s former estates but he always seemed to return to Minnesota where he owned several properties.

YES, pure legend. Prince we lost you wayyy too soon, but believe you will NEVER be forgotten from your amazing songs, that transcended any race, song lyrics that just made us get up & dance, songs that made us smile, songs that made us wanna make love, and songs that made us cry. Thanks to RUclips, your music will live on forever. You didn't have an easy life, but you didn't let it show. You just kept performing thru all the pain-- mental or physical. None of us realized the damage you were doing to your body-- we couldn't tell you were in so much pain-- you commanded that stage with your moves, no one could've ever known the pain you were enduring thru each performance, you just pushed thru the pain & gave your audience what they wanted. Just so heartbreaking that none of realized how bad the pain really was. You were just the consummate performer in every show you did. I just Googled the word "consummate" to be sure I was using the word in the right way. The definition is, "showing a high degree of skill and flair, complete and perfect". That most definitely describes you to a T. You blasted onto the scene in the 80s and completely changed R&B for us. And speaking of complete, perfect skill, you also commanded that guitar in such a powerful way. You just made all of us fall madly in love with you. You were such an ICON. An icon that will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Aww one of my faves!! I’ve met him and sung before one of his shows I was 19 I’m 35 now I absolutely adore him. He was so talented I don’t think there’s enough money to accommodate his talents. ❤️💯😘💪🏾

My aunt was a prince fan she had her wall full of his records and pictures she went to his concert back in the. Early 80s R.I.POWER AUNT RUTHIE. I was in love with Prince. He was a man of many talents. He was handsome & gifted with music. I recall back in the day when I frequented concerts that he performed at. His music was pure & he always had insight on issues before they surfaced; that's what his music was about. He is truly missed, but not forgotten. I continue to listen to his music because it takes me down memory lane to remind me of the love that I lost too soon. He was the greatest artist in my era & I will be eternally grateful for his magnificent work. May you rest in peace, but your music will always be uplifting to your fans.🎶🎶

Prince had the purple house torn down, after his father died (his dad was living in the house), and he also had the yellow house torn down when Paisley Park was finished. He said both houses had evil spirits in them, that's why he had to tear them down. lol

Now lookin at these huge estate homes.. this must mean there was stupendous money made if they was trimmin him really bad and he still was coppin big property like that.
I guess a superstar like that would keep a good amount of people livin with him at all times to not get lonely in those huge beautiful homes. I know it would feel nice to share with the right people in your life. Wonder if his sister lived in any while he was still with us

Actually the name Nelson came from the lat governor of Mpls Knuet Nelson which is my grandma's uncle .there a statue of him in front of state Capt in St Paul. I grew up with Roger and found out we were related from way back .

Lies ... the basketball player didn’t take him to court... PRINCE told him don’t worry when I leave you’ll never know I was here ... they painted it back to the original paints removed the carpets and left the house in it’s original state .....
Nor did he threaten to take him to court... Prince said it will be restored to the original way it was & they did that ...

I never got the houses Sheila e said I could have. when it this happened it was a very sad day because two people I loved died. Him and the old Cameron Pratt both from an overdose.
