I try to be positive but honest! Some people might love this foil and the footage always fir itself in what it’s capable of. I just don’t think it’s quite what I want for winging.
So much hype on this foil! I convinced myself that this was going to be it for me and ALMOST pulled the trigger. Got the opportunity to demo it and said no way.
@@wingmanfoilclub You're definitely not the only one! I'm not seeing people actually hyped on the progression after demo days. I would be down to try the Code 850 if a demo kit makes it to the gorge. I'm currently in love with my Cloud IX FS 850 so it would be perfect to compare!
200 coming soon? Great objective review, most foils need sleep processing and 2nd session, or bigger swell. flagging 22 twitchy slicks one hand at the front of the boom works- but watch out knuckle rub. Nice glide at 8:00 past the noisemakers!
I agree. The further I get away from the ride, the more I think the foil does have some utility. I just think it was so hyped it failed to live up to that. The noisemakers were definitely annoyed with me. I went right up to them and they all had to stop and wait while I glided past and threw a Flaka to show off. Haha. Pretty cool that they take people over to Catalina though.
You say it’s not the best and then put up your longest run I’ve seen. Nailing the downwind. And you’re describing what downwinding really is now. Pulling off and reconnecting. Great riding in those two long clips!
It’s all my amazing skills, Joe. Should retry with the Code 980 in similar conditions. I just want a Vyper with AR 7, thinner profile, that can breech. Is that too much to ask? Plus new tail system.
Thank You for the Honest Review 👍👍

Oh sick. I want to demo that next. And Chris tells me the 1350 is amazing. Maybe what I expected the 170 to be.
@@BryanPCC@thefoilshop6371 should be coming up this month. Take a demo set Josh!
@@wingmanfoilclub I'm ready to take the 1350 for a spin as well! Hoping it's fun for sup downwinders!

@@wingmanfoilclub That's called the AXIS Spitfire. Full lineup for demo in Malibu today. Hope for wind at Topanga later.
Ya demo the Spitfire and tell us if it’s close to the Code!
