- Being a salesman is the ultimate career. Especially when you get to deal with bosses like this one. (If you are in sales, or have ever been in sales, you will get this. If you've never been in sales, probably won't get it...and consider yourself very lucky.)
"A blue ray player is not a prize. An iPod is not a prize. These are cheap pieces of shit everyone already owns!" lmfaoooooooooooooooooooooo Epic! lol
I have been in sales for 13 years, this is absolutely amazing, thank you for putting this up, so much of this actually happens!!
I am in corporate sales for a Forbes Top 100 company. Its a huge faceless publically traded American company.
This video really hits the nail on the head.
There is something wrong with corporate culture in North America if this is the norm.
I mean really, I thought I just worked for a porrly managed money hungry company, but seeing this video and reading these posts makes me realize there is a serious problem with how we run our companies and how our economy is managed.
You can tell this is from an industry insider. Welcome to sales kids!
Definitely one of the funniest and truest videos ever made. If you've worked in sales, regardless of the company, this is spot on! LOL. It never gets old either.
This is so right on on a lot of levels! There must be a million conversations like this in offices every day. What a lugnut boss!
this....is hilariously spot on. If you can believe it, in pharmaceutical sales, the level of ridiculousness is even more extreme than depicted in this video. The bit about the ipods, the starbucks gift cards and the gold stars is just classic.
Brutally. spot on.
if you have ever worked in sales, this is going to make your day.
This is spot on. Funnels, Sandbagging, Salesforce. I heard all of that crap in the last few hours! HA
Lol I lost it at "im going to cold call your kids"
You know what I love most? When you receive a $250 gift card to Best Buy for being sales person of the month only to find out that the gift card counts as taxable income. So not only are you stuck with money that's only useful in one place, but you get more taken off of your paycheck. That's why I went full time musician. Yes, it's been tough making ends meet, but at least I can run an honest business.
"If this company is my family I have been molested for years." -- I almost blew a mouthful of coffee all over my laptop! ROTFL!!
LOL each & every time I watch this. "I don't care what you sold 100 yrs ago."
Gets more real every time I watch it.
This is one of the greatest Videos in the history of the world!
who the hell would give this wonderful creation a NEGATIVE??? This is AWESOME!!!
This is hilarious! I could hear this conversation at my current job with our sales reps. It's really sad that this takes place in so many companies.
This is the best video ever, and if you are in sales... you get it.
This is scarily accurate
Spectacular! Scary how realistic this is ...
Still valid in 2021 for corporate America sales , 11 years after this vid was made
That was so funny it made me cry. The saddest part is that I work for this company, and think the boss might actually resemble my boss. I'm going to watch it again.
scary how accurate.
+lee h lol, this could go for every sales organization I've ever worked for. So. Funny. And true.
It really is scary how true it is lol.
classic..a conversation only a top rep could have. anyone else would be fired
I have not seen this for a while. Makes me miss the days I used to work in sales and sales management for Corporate America.....not
My company sent a very nice company wide email today acknowledging that I was a critical part in helping them to collect 4million dollars of aging receivables. No bonus of any sort was discussed in it, but they were very "grateful for my above and beyond efforts". It hurts my soul that this comment is actually true.
FeaturedVideography LMFAO!!!!!
This is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Ever. I would love to meet the genius who wrote this.
A genius is RIGHT !
Only a salesperson would think this is funny, but man, it may be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like the most honest 1x1 I've ever heard. Now if he only talked about the Starbucks gift card not being able to be used onsite.
haha! DEAD on! :) As a former radio/cable TV sales rep - I love it!
And this is why I will never go back to corporate life again.
Quotas are set unrealistically high. They think workers will strive harder to reach that unattainable goal rather than a realistic one. They think if someone hits quota they'll be satisfied and not try for more. What they don't understand is that by having unrealistic goals, it demoralizes the employees and they do less. Once they realize they can't reach quota, they just give up.
All bosses pretend like they excelled at the job that their underlings are doing, but this is rarely the case. The bosses are generally the brownnosers that couldn't cut it, so they were promoted up as a higher boss's pet.
This is a CLASSIC! 100% right on. Too hilarious. I love these video clips!
I am just glad our office is not the only ones who deal with this on a day to day basis
This is absolutely brilliant. I swear the guy who created this must work at my company.
That family guilt trip holy shit lol
LMAO...one company line after another..how many times have you wanted to tell the company men to go fill their ass funnel? Ha ha...just brilliantly done by someone who must have lived the life.."I don't care what you did 100 years ago when you were riding dinosaurs and actually selling things" ROFL...BRAVO!!
Still hilarious to this day!!
That is the collective sum of all of the meetings at my place of employment! This is an instant classic for me.
This sounds like a typical "thought exchange" between a retail automotive manager and sales person. Perfect...
OMG, this is so frigging hilarious!
You just summed up the last 7 years of my professional life! I cannot stop laughing!
This is hysterical...and way too familiar!
Maybe the best video I have ever seen as a sales guy... I need to find the creator and lets make a Cartoon... LOVE THIS!!
So, so brilliant!! Like watching my life playing out before me or an out of body experience! Hilarious, and shared with many former coworkers also in this unfortunate "club." Please keep them coming!
I always come back to this. It fits the real world.
How many times have you wanted to actually have that conversation.....holy crap that is hilarious.
I've been in sales 10 years, everything in this video is so dam true
"If this company is my family, than I have been molested for years now."
This is HILARIOUS!!! And spot on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the best thing EVER
This was so funny, i had tears in my eyes, omg so very true
"Satan must really miss not having his prize demon with him in Hell right now." Kills me every time.
"What about the StaaaarrrrrBucks gift cards?" LOL
Add Pharma sales to the list of industries this resembles. Dead on.
Ps. "Cold calling" kids was a stroke of genius.
I worked for a Fortune 500 company for 15 years and this really hit the spot. THANKS!
WOW, this is my life day in and day out. The trip to Mexico (they call it President's Club where I work), the gift cards, the Blu-rays and iPads, the sandbagging conversations, this is an everyday occurrence for me. Me and my coworker actually thought for awhile that somebody in our office made this video.
God help us!
Wow this is so spot on! I thought I was going to lose it when he started talking about the Presidents club.
Great video, I worked in all commission sales before and this hits the needle on the head! Im sure all my co-workers agree. The only part that is missing, is when they dangle the carrot in from of your face and tell you that one day if you work hard enough, and are dedicated to the company enough you will get their job!
This is spot on! Corporate America needs to watch this! Hilarious!
Quotas are designed to never be hit. This truly describes the corporate sales environment. Who are the idiots who don't like this video, the guys who set the quotas and tell us your part of the "family". We just want you to succeed.
I always see a guy in a suit in CVS buying Lube. I get it now. I could have used it for my 20 years in the arena.
I got $100 says the creator of this amazing content worked for Sysco
Hilarious. Brilliant. Anybody who has ever worked for a sales-driven corporation should be rolling on the floor.
😂😂😂 Damn this is true! They forgot to mention having a meeting about the meeting, taking away productivity.
best video I've seen in awhile. I actually got an Ipod for a sale contest last year and our commissions just got cut by 25%- the best part is that my boss is the one that sent me the link to this video.
I'm impressed that Bristol-Myers Squibb would let this HR video be sent out on the internet.
The only thing missing here is, "Congratulations, you won a nationwide contest! Here is you all expense paid trip for two to the Super Bowl. Oh, and here is your pink slip. We are replacing you with a new college grad with no experience or a clue about work ethic. Some one who will get pregnant and miss many months of work during the first year of employment."
"Didn't the gold star make you feel good inside?" "Are we in the f_cking First Grade?" This video is so amazingly true. And that's what is so funny and so sad about it.
This is so true...my job to an absolute tee!!! Lol hilarious!!!!!
I dont know what is more satisfying - the video or everyones comments. Haha!
WOW! This is sooooo totally amzingly right on the money!
This is my old CEO to the letter. So awesome
Frighteningly accurate. The foodservice business is way too much like this. Ask any sales rep for Sysco, Performance Food Group, U.S. Foodservice, Ben E. Keith, etc, etc. Sales excellence is rewarded by unrealistic goals for next year.
This is AWESOME. You have been watching my life. Funny and sad at the same time.
THIS IS GOLD...GOLD !
everyone in my office just keeps watching it over and over!
everyone grabs their ankles, till you can stand up on your own.
This is actually a true accurate description of sales reality
This is word for word- Exactly my job. I want to share this with the world.
You fu_kin NAILED it! Well done.
People wonder why incidents of violence occur in the workplace...Mass shootings, knife attacks, etc. This video shows why
This is LITERALLY every Software Sales Organization that I have worked for in the past 20 + Years. Except much-much-much too kind.
This is toooo funny! Any salesperson can relate!!
So true. "We did well but didn't do what we could". "If we hit ______________this month everyone gets a free car wash". I have been in sales over 20 years, It sux. Go into operations or administrative roles. Sales is dependent SOLEY, SOLEY on what the customer needs at this time. Go into something you have more control over.
Brilliant; it's good to know that there's other people going through the same b.s..
The Starbucks gift card! That's hilarious....because it's true. I've gotten a few of those in my day.
This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen ... and so very true! Seems similar to a conversation I had recently....
Holy shit. It is scary how close to home this hits.
6 min of my life right here on RUclips. I feel even better now!
This is how life is working for Verizon wireless!! Or any phone company for that matter! Customers think that we are selling them everything because we want them to make us some commission.... Let me tell you something Verizon customers?!?! I'm not making commission off of you because it's way too freaking hard to hit our quotas! This video is so great! If the people on top weren't so greedy for a higher wealth then they already have then maybe , just maybe we could make better money.
I literally can’t even 😂😂😂
Hahaahahaha This is soo funny gotta love the new application xtra normal!!!
Best thing I have seen in god knows how long! Can this video be part of the worthless monthly meetings we all sit through?
I have worked for Spectrum for 5 months and can say that this video 1000% describes my job! Doing the “right thing” equals less pay and a dumb ass, worthless diploma saying you hit your goals. Over this last week I’ve seen my commison drop by $2000 due to “following the rules”. I’m gonna start sandbagging like the other smart people who realized it before I did and hope my money doesn’t keep getting cut
Its unreal how true this conversation is.
greatest video for sales
After watching this it took about a half hour for me to stop laughing my ass off...this is exactly how life is @ AT&T
I never thought I would ever see my life's story acted out for me in animation
For our crew this video is the pinicle of ironic...we have a new boss that's cut from the very same cloth!!!
The truth to this is astounding. The one thing I have to be thankful for is that my sales manager IM'd this to me whle we were both at work...at least he gets it too!
best line - "if this company is family, I've been molested for years!" It is such a sad state of affairs how this rings true to so many corporate sales personnel...
"Satan must really miss having his prized demon in Hell with him right now".... classic line
