Thanks for your helpful videos. How will the layers change with the different cutting angles?
The cutting angles determine the shape of a haircut. With this haircut (triangular) the cutting angle will determine how the layers fall, they way i'm cutting them in this video will create a softer result, if my cutting angle was steeper my layers would mirror the cutting angle and be steeper.

Keep in mind layers reduce weight. The length is the deciding factor.

Hey Roro, thanks for your question. You may also know Triangular layers to be called Increase Layers . Triangular / Increase layers generally the length arrangement will progress from shorter interior lengths towards longer exterior lengths when layered. When cut solid or one length a triangular shape can also be a concave shape. Example: a concave bob, which is shorter in the nape progressing into longer length as the hair cut progresses to the front. I hope this answers your question.

Hey Milan, thanks for your message. Yes the first section is at 45, the length underneath is increased to this elevation. And then every future section is directed back to this point which creates a increase / triangular layer. 45 can be above or below 90

I’m in school still so I’m confused because isn’t a triangle cut longer in the front? This is shorter in the front making it a round cut isn’t it? Can someone please explain lol.
Hey Alexandra, you are 100% correct. How ever you must consider the exiting haircut first. If the client or hair mannequin already has short layers around her face it will appear to be round. In this case i have cut a triangular layer with face framing. Combining two techniques or working with the previous haircut. Most haircuts are a combination of multiple shapes as we have to utilise their existing shape. In this tutorial the sectioning, elevation and cutting angles are triangular.
