Nancy´s arc in season 1 was amazing. I adored her journey along with Jonathan. However, in season 3 that didn´t work at all anymore.

Well to be fair she did lose her BFF and she witnessed a lot of horrible things with Dustin and had to save him I think it's been a while since I seen it but yeah
She really matured and is able to protect herself and others

Nancy was one of my favourite character in ST from the start and I love this
I love so many aspects of Nancy's personality. How she's such a badass, she's so ambitious and kind too. But i cannot forget how she cheated on Steve in season 2. I stan Nancy and Jonathan too, but that's besides the point. She hadn't broken up with Steve, they just had a fight and then she went and slept with Jonathan while still being in a relationship with Steve at the time. I just love how accepting Steve was to her rejection, even tho she never really properly communicated it to him, he just realised that she didn't love him and had probably been pining after Jonathan all this time, he never guilt tripped her or anything and just let her go.
for me, she's the definition of a woman. smart, daring, hardworking, brave, and can do anything on what's right
