Steve Harrington : " I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend , but turns out I'm actually a pretty damn good babysitter. "
Ayush Sinha nah he’s a mom
Ayush Sinha he is a damn good mom
He's a mom.
Actually in season 3 he became single mom
*mother
Jonathan: mr steal yo girl
Billy: mr steal you wife
Steve: mr steal yo kids
Oh yeah I forgot billy stole Ted's wife
Alexei: mr steal your heart
Dee Johnson stop making me sad
Taken out of context that Steve one would be deeply wrong
Alexi is me steal your tears
For me, I started to slowly like Steve as soon as he realized his friends were major pricks and started to try and do good things for once at the end of season 1. By the end of season 3, Steve is easily one of the best characters in the show.
Yep! Arguably THE best (with Hopper as well)
Steve is The best character
2nd is hopper
@@Sarvadnyasharma am I the only one who would've been fine with them killing hopper off in s3. He was angry the whole season and he finally sacrificed himself for the better. His letter to el had good emotional weight too.
@@safcjoe7062 hopper was logically not angry he was just a overprotective dad
And I love that.
Hopper had a drastic character change
In season 1 he was almost a secondary character who just wants to do his job and find will
In season 1 he was literally alone he had no one
In season 2 he kind of adopted el
Hi character developed really good in season 2 from a lonely cop to a kind of babysitter
And at the end of season 2 he adopted eleven
So by end of season 2
His character
Turned from lonely drunk cop to a father
By season 3
He fell in love with Joyce
So
Again a drastic character development
From being lonely and most probably orphan in season 1
To a father and almost technically boyfriend of Joyce
So yep it was a good character arc
Honestly it was 2nd best character arc after Steve
@@Sarvadnyasharma yeah you could say that but I thought it was a good arc. From being angry and overprotective to being happy to die for everyone else.
I think Steve has always been a good person. Even in season 1, he wasn't a horrible person. He was just a teenager who didn't know any better.
Yeah, he was young & stupid & inexperienced & had bad taste in friends.
Once the last one changed, it started the dominoes falling for him to have a personality glow-up.
Also... he wasn't wrong about breaking Jonathan's camera and destroying the photos and film. Dude was literally taking unsolicited nude pictures of an underaged woman. The least that should have been done is destroying the camera and film.
We’ve all been there
And him not knowing anything better made him a horrible person, but he had grown out of that and redeemed himself and that’s how he became a better person I guess.
Destroying someone's camera then hanging with people who vandalise a cinema in order to publicly humiliate Nancy?
Steve just went from "I'll bring your daughter back by 10"
To
"You better bring my daughter back by 10"
He's such a mom
or:
"Your daughter calls me daddy" to "You kids call me mom"
Lol....that's the best way to put it..
Cuckoo hahahaha

When you re-watch season 1 it's clear that Steve wasn't ever such an asshole to begin with. He wanted to be popular so he adopted this "bad boy" persona and hanged out with other popular kids who were real assholes. But it was already pretty clear that some of their behaviour didn't agree with him. He was the only one telling them to drop it when they made fun of Johnatan and Barb. When he destroys Johnatan's camera he instantly looks like he's uncomfortable with this. Then after calling Nancy a slut in public and losing a fight with Johnatan he finally realizes he doesn't belong with these people. And he immedietaly wants to apologize and make amends for the bad stuff he's done. Steve was always a nice guy, he just pretended to be someone else.
The truth has been told
It's an overused but clever character arc since it's one of the most realistic ones out there
I think it also says everything that he went to Jonathan’s house to apologise to him for breaking his camera. He didn’t just try to apologise to Nancy only to win her back, he genuinely felt bad and wanted to make amends to Jonathan too.
Yes and honestly when he dropped Jonathan’s camera it was because he was trying to protect Nancy because Jonathan took a inappropriate picture
Well said, not so deep inside, he was always a good guy. He acted a bit like a douch a few times but nothing so out of the ordinary for a teen. Like you said, you could tell by his facial expression that he didnt agree with this most of the time and he was clearly influenced by his ''friends''. He was always cool and nice with Nancy too. In fact, Nancy acted more like an ass toward him than the other way around. Great character.
he went from “your daughter calls me daddy.” to “your kids call me mommy.”
So true lol

It really took until the end of season 2 for me to start warming up to Steve, until that beatdown he got from Billy I was still suspicious about him and remembered him more as the popular bullying ringleader he'd been in season 1.
Him standing up to and taking that beating from Billy to protect Lucas and Max was the turning point for me on his character, that was when he really got over who he used to be in season 1 and became the Steve that we'd see in seasons 3 and 4.

Steve has such amazing character development. He managed to go from a massively hated character to everyone's favourite.
In season 1 I felt like that Nancy wasn't really in love with Steve and why she fell for Jonathan so quickly because of their shared trauma. But Steve showed that he really loves Nancy even though she's not one of the popular kids in school. He saves Nancy and Jonathan even if he was freaking out so hard and showing us as the viewers that he's a very good person and what Nancy sees in his character. Season 2 Steve didn't deserved to be cheated on by Nancy and I felt so bad for him when he went to her house to apologize the day after she slept with Jonathan. Yeah, Nancy regretted hurting Steve and immediatly got together with Jonathan but not once did she apologize to him and that's when she lost my respect and Steve surpassed her in likeability!
Season 3 he became my favorite character because he kept getting better and better. His role as protector of the group really establlished in this season for me. And once again saving Nancy and the others by putting his life in danger. At the end of the season I was in love with his character! Season 4 we see Nancy and Steve flirting very hard with each other but at this point Steve is way too good for her after how she dumped him. But I guess I'll take it because he wants a big family with her in the future. I just want him to survive to the end and be happy and if Nancy makes him happy, then ok.
The mum we don’t deserve, he’s too perfect
