Thx Bobby, was fun showing the guys around my backyard. Lots still don't know about the 'magic forest' in stanley forest.

Man those Californian Redwoods are just awesome! Got a small plantation down here just out of Warburton , I could stay there all day 👌
Very nice shot of Mitta/ lake Hume?

Nice, I didn't know there was another plantation near Warburton.
Yeah the end shot was lake hume, heading out past Tallangatta, got the guys sorted on a nice camp spot on the upper murray.

That's a good area for me to explore. I live at Lurg, south west of Wangaratta. I have been up the old Long Tom as a passenger in a very capable 80series. Twin locked auto. I would never have attempted it in my Hilux. Good video mate. Cheers 👍🐕🤠

Definitely plenty to see. Would have been epic doing the original long tom, was shut before I moved to the area, but I have seen some old videos. Not sure I would have tackled it.
      Thanks for watching and commenting

Great video, well done mate. I know that area well. I've never driven that Long Tom Track, and I'm not in a hurry to after watching this. Haha I have driven the other one that you turned off, the easy one.
I used to drive Wally's in a Suzuki Sierra back in the 1990's.
I've driven down Mt Stanley Jeep Track in the rain In a Ford Ranger with a 3" lift. It was crazy slippery. Low range, hill descent on and still slipping everywhere. I was glad to see the bottom I can tell you.
I usually drive into Wallaby Mine from the other side, the steep side. That's a bit of a sketchy track in itself, and about as scary as I like to go. Any steeper and rougher and I'm out of my comfort zone.
I really enjoy your casual videos mate. 👍👍

Thx mate, yeah great area, we were going to drive up the Wallaby Mine track but it'd been graded and wasn't going to offer much fun so just turned around and headed back to Yack for lunch at Gumtree Pies :-)
Lots of fun to be had in Stanley Forest.

You are correct, you don't drive enough of that stuff but, you need to get out and walk and look and learn and NOT rely on other's experience. You need to watch other's wheel placement through the same obstacle and that is how you learn, gain knowledge and get a perspective from out of the car, not sit on your arse and rely on the spotter every time it looks rough.
