I'm a musician as well and from the same vibe town. We've had many amazing guitar players come out of Shreveport over the years but i truly believe that KW i is probably the best.😊😊
Kenny and company would make BB proud. This young man and his group has and still are carrying on the traditional blues 💙 when they give us there version of these rendition of the classics it does the blues and all of us a blessing to keep the greats alive. God bless.
I could look at Noah all day long. The icing is his talent and the amazing talent of all the others. I love the blues and that the good Lord gave us these folks. Mississippi Gal proud!
Oh de blues.oh baby! (My wonderful 46 yr old son, jez toll me just this morning, {bless his heart ❤} reminded me...'I've already lived my life!' Peanut galleries on every side...thank you for this Tune...at this Time. Time to checkout, thank ye KENNY WAYNE! And instrumentalists from Heaven. Gracias" OLE'! O' I dunt feel "69"!!! Git IT KENNY WAYNE!!!
Well, he was his teacher way more times than reported. Kenny's dad promoted srv and his band for many dates in the Region and would give Kenny lesson after lesson from the time he was 5yo. Many people say he did that for anyone who asked him....Then SRV got so famous it was hit or miss for Kenny to sit with him. Now I read that and heard Kenny talk about it but those interviews are no longer on youtube. I do know Kenny uses the exact same string set up and low tuning Stevie used because stevie taught hum his reach would widen with off set size strings.
Influence.....Stevie gave him many lessons as a kid. Kenny's father was the one booking agent that got Stevie and the guys all their local gigs. At the Museum you will see the pics of little Kenny and Stevie playing together and Stevie placing Kenny's fingers into position. He taught him in lieu of fees for said bookings thus Kenny as we know him today. He rarely strays from those lessons however short they may have been. I used to work with Sue Foley back then and she used to say she wished she had a daddy like that cause she would love a lesson or two.....lol Stevie also gave him a guitar or two and often Kenny will travel with them.
That's absolutely one of the best guitar solos I've heard in a long time. Reminded me of Derek and the Dominoes era Clapton, which is one of the highest compliments I can give.
I agree about Joe B. Kenny has the soul that Joe doesn't. Kenny is the BEST blues/rock guitarist on the planet right now. Self taught. Studied the blues greats. A mixture of them all with his own style. Absolutely gifted and amazing.
I always recognize a KWS song when I hear it, so that's his own style. Also, there is always one song on an album that makes me cry when I hear it for the first time. So that's his soul.
I think to be as honest as possible without being insulting, Stevie Taught Kenny lots of tricks and although Kenny is good, he is almost a carbon copy of the split scale stuff Stevie taught him. Stevie also gave him the lessons for free cause Kennys father booked SRV on hard to get gigs. Not taking anything away from him but please visit the SRV Museum to see the pics of Stevie and his wife placing Kennys fingers in position and attending his birthday parties. I guess you could say the rest he taught himself but if you ask him when he is alone he will tell you more......he is a nice kid and is pretty honest.
Because of Kenny's father he learned from the best. He is highly influenced by SRV and BB King as they showed him songs note for note. I watched him once at age 9 sitting backstage with SRV teaching him turnarounds. Joe also had lots of BB King help as Joes father used to do work on BB Kings gibsons. Joe is rock based and Kenny is Blues based so there is a feeling and execution difference.
Careful...Joe B. might "Bludgeon" you w/ a 1951 Fender No Caster.Did you see that? Stage Security?? 10/24/2021! Been around, and never seen anything like that! He might clean your clock youngish. Jez sayn..
If BB and SRV had a baby. 1st saw KWS when he opened for BB back in 2000. Remember thinking to myself, man who is this kid? Now, if people ask who I think the best blues player alive today. My answer is KWS.

That effect is called volume. Sheer volume. The one effect that creates this kind of feedback when you're not overly distorted. And the one effect you're not allowed to use anywhere nowadays unless you are an acclaimed rockstar. ;-)

Keyboard player was literally tickling those ivories . . I faintly heard the black keys giggling . . . KWS on my top five concert lust, I mean list, once this Covid thing settles down! ladies and gentlemen ,thats how you play the blues , top band
Man, I don't think that there is any better combination than Kenny Wayne Shepard and Noah Hunt. OMG...these two are awesome together.
Kenny and company would make BB proud. This young man and his group has and still are carrying on the traditional blues 💙 when they give us there version of these rendition of the classics it does the blues and all of us a blessing to keep the greats alive. God bless.
I've been following Kenny since he first hit the airways---Damn, he just keeps getting better!! :)
I could look at Noah all day long. The icing is his talent and the amazing talent of all the others. I love the blues and that the good Lord gave us these folks. Mississippi Gal proud!
He’s one of the best young Blues guitarist around. Noah Hunt is perfect as singer frontman!
Kenny and Philip Sayce are the true followers into SRV's footprints.

Kenny was taught by SRV

Great singer, but why doesn't KWS sing, SRV did, but he was SRV🙂 like the new look💙👌💙👌💙
The sustained note near the end . . . Whoa . . .
Sweet Jesus. What does he have in his signal chain?
Love it all, but Riley Osbourne's solo is a joy to behold. !!!!!!!!!
Kenny was feelin' it that night. Pretty powerful.
Thank you, Kenny Wayne! Shreveport ❤️s you, Brother!
Frickin great piano and guitar solos!
That's absolutely one of the best guitar solos I've heard in a long time. Reminded me of Derek and the Dominoes era Clapton, which is one of the highest compliments I can give.
He is really good
Clearly you don't listen to enough Joe Bonamassa.
Rob Hollander Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a badass blues guitarist; I absolutely LOVE him!!
Kathleen Anderson I've heard Joe Bonamassa too-- could you imagine them onstage together??? They'd have the place lit!!!!
I am sitting here in my bedroom watching this and clapping so hard, my hands are sore!!!
I absolutely love Kenny Wayne and Noah.
I agree about Joe B. Kenny has the soul that Joe doesn't. Kenny is the BEST blues/rock guitarist on the planet right now. Self taught. Studied the blues greats. A mixture of them all with his own style. Absolutely gifted and amazing.
Load of bullshit. Kenny has not got his own style.
I always recognize a KWS song when I hear it, so that's his own style. Also, there is always one song on an album that makes me cry when I hear it for the first time. So that's his soul.

High gain.... standing in front of the amp... it's just feedback from the note. Carlos Santana was always good for doing that when he played live...
I don't know what else he can do. The best!
Some SRV and Double Trouble’s Spirit inside!!! 🔥🔥🔥
