I encourage everyone to play Edison Format! It still feels like modern Yu-Gi-Oh! but definitely at a slower pace. Not so slow like Goat Format (also an excellent retro format), but not too fast like the current game. The format is extremely balanced while having a diverse pool of viable decks: Machina Gadget, Frog Monarch, Fairy. Blackwings, Fish OTK, Dragons, Vayu Turbo, Lightsworn, Flamevell, Gladiator Beasts, Diva Hero, Quickdraw Dandy, Gravekeepers, X-Sabers, Zombies, Anti-Meta, etc.
There are tons more, but the ones listed have seen the most popularity from what I can think on the top of my head. And the only "real" sacky cards I would say is Trap Dustshoot, Brain Control and Future Fusion. Of course we have an extermely sacky deck like Lightsworn, but obviously there are pros and cons to running that sort of deck. Plus, most the things here have been reprinted repeatedly, so the format should be really cheap as well. Try it out. Trust me.
Of all the sacky cards, I would say none of those are as sacky as royal oppression, which I personally see as the evil of the format.

@@TopTierGamingYGO Maybe you and I have different interpretations of the word "sacky". For me, it's when you make a game changing play or win a game due to pure luck, and in most cases from my experience, it's due to top decking some insane 1 of card. For me, Royal Oppression being semi-limited doesn't warrant itself as a sacky card because there is still an okay chance of seeing it in your hand. But a 1 of cards like Trap Dustshoot, Brain Control or Future Fusion feels very sacky because they are limited and extremely powerful cards. But even this being the case, yes, I do agree that Royal Oppression is a poopy card. Haha
@@mulesa101 I agree with your definition, I just think sacky encompasses more than simply just that.
I think sacky can also be cards that can take the skill out of the game and you can win just by drawing them either because they are THAT powerful or introduce an unfair element to the game.
Like... when vanity's emptiness was at 3 and dragon rulers drew it... it felt sacky still.
