Treble bleed circuit - before & after (Gibson Melody maker SG)

- I love how the Firebird pickup sounds on the Melody Maker SG, but I noticed that, like most humbuckers, it gets muddy when turned down for cleaner sounds.
One of my favourite mods is installing a treble bleed circuit in the volume pot, but I never recorded a before & after clip. I think the difference is pretty noticeable (and even more drastic playing through a real amp)
My main amp is a single channel Marshall JMP 2203, so I'm used to doing clean sounds by rolling down the volume pot. In my experience, most humbuckers benefit from the treble bleed, but P90s usually clean up great without it. Disconnecting the tone pots (like I always do) helps too.

Thanks, I'm lucky to have it!
so....what are the values of the components you used? that is the big question right... it sounds very good!!
Can't remember, but they were the closest I could find to DiMarzio recomendations
great playing and demo!! what is your capacitors value?
I've actually no idea, but I remember they were the closest value I could find to the recommended specs for a treble bleed on DiMarzio's website
With a single pickup with two controls, I recommend trying 50s wiring. You may like it. I find the brightness more natural
Yeah, in that setup I like 50's wiring over the modern version. But I find I like it more with no tone pot at all, I fell they clean better when turning the volume down.
Did you just bypassed volume pot with RC set?
It just isn't connected
do you have a video on how you install it.
I don't, it goes between the left and center lugs of the volume pot, though
Is this 50s wiring as well?
No, the tone pot isn't connected, just the volume pot to the jack
