Tinsley Motive Power Depot 1990. British Rail.

A visit to Tinsley late 1990, detailed views of the shed as well as the surrounding yard. Sheffield proud freight yard is slowly showing signs of decay as king coal loses its grip on this midland hub.

My father work there for 30+ years, he was a shunter before moving into the signalling tower you see. I used to go and watch the trains being worked from the tower in the 70's. Great great memories

Lovely video. I remember Tinsley well, we use to visit regular, Saw the Master slave shunters pushing all the wagons up the hump. Use to be very busy,but got kicked out only once. Those were the days. Thank's for the memories
