Very interesting and fascinating thank you.
I miss this England I was born too late for
Fasinating invite into the once mighty railways and how it worked
I worked at Whitemoor from 1974 to 1983...Great film...
The diesel shunters were fitted with radios but only saw them in use a couple of times..
yeh
Brilliant video very interesting 👍
Great film, however I grew up in March and no-one speaks like the voiceovers in the film. Very entertaining.
I also have a Hardback Book called The Railway Policeman. The Story of the Constable on the Track.
For the chap on the brake stick, dangerous work ????
Not really, only one mistake per life..
And not a hi-vis in sight(site) lol.
The good old days, no H&S just run along beside moving trucks smoking a fag after being in the pub for lunch!
I have the DORLING KINDERSLEY DK EYEWITNESS GUIDES Book of TRAIN.Discover the story of railways - from the days of steam to the high - speed, sophisticated trains of today. In association with THE NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM.
Odd voice. They did not working men speak in those days. March great place for 1950s train spotters .
