You don’t need any soldering. I replaced the stereo in my Nissan and just bought a wiring harness adaptor specific for my car model and everything was just plug and play. 0 soldering. If you want optional steering wheel controls you might need to crimp the Key 1 wire for JVC/Kenwood into the patch lead or if you have a pioneer stereo it’s just plug the jack.
