Excellent video showing a real scooter owner repairing their Scooter properly and in real time. Thanks for posting this well photographed video as you just saved me about $50 + in mechanics costs.👍
Great video, excellent step by step instructions. I replaced my Vespa LX 150 brake lever/master cylinder because the mirror perch was built in and broke off. Much better than trying to repair the mirror threads. Thanks for posting!
just buy a cheap second 150cc scoot in a bad shape and been working on it for like 2 weeks and this weekend i will finish it, only problem it has not come with the front brake but the drum in the back do a very good job to stop in time, i will not put a front brake because i will ride it less then my main scooter. Your vids that i watched before help me a lot put this scooter in top condition. Peace from Romania
You need to bleed the line at the front caliper. Otherwise you will have air in the line and reduced braking power. You probably noticed it when testing.
Hello David yes I agree bleed the line will be the best and safest to make sure there is no air in the line but for now is 9 months testing the breaks and they are working great Thank you for watching my video
Omg no bueno George this is a very delicate situation you can try to buy a Damaged Screw Remover Set,Screw Remover and Extractor Set on amazon amzn.to/2E3LyzJ this can help you but you need to pay attention to do not damage the caliper trading and if you do damage you will have to place a larger breeder valve or a large screw and retread the caliper hole. Good luck my friend and take your time to do this job to make sure you do it right. Thank you for watching my video
hey man I have a weird situation here. if I could ask you this... when I try and start my scooter and turn on ignition switch and squeeze the brake lever...the scooter tries to turn over?? before I even push the start button. any idea of what might be going on here?
Hello my friend this sound like bad starter switch that have built up corrosion try to spray wd 40 contact cleaner amzn.to/3Pre0TZ inside the starter switch that should work or replace the switch
@@VirberelloScooterTips once again thank you for taking the time to give some advice. I really appreciate your knowledge. I will let you know what happens as soon as I fix the damn flat now. lol.
Any suggestions why my scooter makes a ping noise in front break area when starting from park? While riding it's fine. It only occurs after turning off engine then starting at first rolling.
Hello Ron you can not adjust the front brake like you do with the rear brake when your front brake on the chinese scooter is to soft you need to replace the brake pads if the brake lever is really hard the brake fluid is really thick like glue from aging if you get to that point I will replace everything because to clean the all system will take you 20hr but if you think that the only problem you have is oil pressure pull your brake lever five times and do not release at the fifth pull at that time open the little valve at the caliper ( have a little towel to clean break fluid ) and close right away right after you can release the brake lever at the handlebar that will give you oil pressure back in the system. I hope this can help soon I will make a video regarding this topic for now thank you for watching my video and be safe
Hello my scooter is chinese with a 150cc gy6 motor for scooter part I find lots of things on www.partsforscooters.com/ or many time I go to ebay or amazon Thank you for watching my video
Hello 99.9 % of the time is the master cylinder that gets gummed up the only way to test the caliper is to removed but not disconnect the hose push the pistons inside with a g clamp and disconnect the hose line at the master cylinder and with a oil pump push new brake fluid in the hose and check if the brakes pads are closing there is also a possibility that the hose is gummed up
Hello Ming yes they charge $75 or more +++ but you can do it yourself just relax listen some good music and you can replace your brake in only 30 minutes check my other video ruclips.net/video/lB779OEx7no/видео.html if hat can help you. Thank you for watching my video
I replaced my caliper and the entire brake cylinder and all. After bleeding the line the brake still wont pressurize. I am not sure why. I don't see any kinks in the brake line
Hi Cody open the valve at the break caliper press the break level until you see little break fluid coming out close the valve without releasing the break level and after closing the valve test your break. Thank you for watching my video

Do we need to plug in some cables into the brake light switch?
Yes you have reconnect the wires

Do you have a video for replacing the other brake lever.
It broke off, but it's not the lever itself, its what the lever attaches to
I guess that's a no??
great video

The bleeder valve sheered right off while trying to loosen it. Anyway to get it out without trashing the caliper?

How can you tell it’s the master cylinder that broke and not your caliber? My brakes not working on my scooter and I’ve tried everything

Does anyone know the screw type/name for the screws on top of the master cylinder? Many thanks in advance!
Gracias
