@7:08 Wandy's arm looks horribly hyper extended, I've always thought I would be hesitant to swing full blast at the ground for that reason. I wonder how many fighters have damaged their arms from dealing out gnp while standing?
Yeah he dominated the division, his only loss was a controversial split decision loss to Cejudo who he had beaten prior. Never seen someone dominate a division like mighty mouse.

By the time Anderson let himself be KO'd, he had been trying to give the title away. Women's Flyweight is not great but its marginally better than Women's Bantamweight, plus there are some young and interesting prospects coming up. We'll see how they perform in the future.
Valentina is SUPERB.
I love the Nunes protecting her belt like a cub “Come too close and I’ll fuck your shit up!”
Usman should have taken Adesanya’s place here. Dude beat colby twice , Masvidal twice , Burns once , Leon once (soon to be twice ) and dethroned Woodley.
Adesanya made all the best middleweights in the ufc look like easy work. I love usman but he can't compete with what izzy has done. masvidal isn't that great and woodley was no where near his prime.
usman a badass, but izzys resume and list of opponents out weigh usmans
Totally agree. Usman and Izzy are on completely different paths.
Very minor correction but at 5:32 it sounded like “future ONE star, Kyoji Horiguchi”, but Horiguchi has never fought in ONE. He’s won belts in Rizin and Bellator (mainly fighting in Rizin).
Shout out to Jose what a legend!
Fun Fact: Chael has not lost a completed round against any of these fighters.
I wonder how well this will age having Izzy as the thumbnail.
He's still not lapped Whittaker yet, he is really underrated.
But he beat Whittaker pretty easily and definitively, and I'm like 85% sure he's gonna beat him again this weekend
@@michaeldahir9569 He beat Whittaker once. He rocked Whittaker twice.
@deansy i agree
@Abdulkarim Elnaas What's a Dustin storyline? Taking brutal fights to work your way to a title shot and then losing? I'd rather Whittaker win, actually.
Anybody who thinks Izzy is underrated knows nothing about Martial Arts
Such a great history.
Kamaru Usman beat Strickland, Leon Edwards, Damian Maia, Woodley, Colby 2X, Masvidal 2X, Burns.
Valentina deserved to be on this list.
honestly. she deserved it more than adesanya for sure. has beaten everyone in the top 5 except talia santos, then has wins over current #9 jessica Eye, priscilla cachoeira, liz carmouche, julianna pena, holly holm, and joanna. in total, she has wins over 4 champions (5 since I'm counting the second Amanda fight too), and has never lost at 125. I think she rivals Amanda for best female fighter of all time
YES! we got some great stuff covering her

@7:08 Wandy's arm looks horribly hyper extended, I've always thought I would be hesitant to swing full blast at the ground for that reason. I wonder how many fighters have damaged their arms from dealing out gnp while standing?
Mighty Mouse #7. Really shows the favoritism that made it hard for him to be a star. He clearly cleared out his division more than any other.
Yeah he dominated the division, his only loss was a controversial split decision loss to Cejudo who he had beaten prior.
Never seen someone dominate a division like mighty mouse.
its all gsp silva jones in the goat convo, which is respectable... but dj should really be talked about more often in that regard.
people dont realize how good he was. DJ almost made ufc shutdown a division because he dominated it and its only now people see the division didnt suck DJ was just that great. To make it funnier ufc got rid of DJ because they didnt want him to dominate it again.
Not the same competion as in other divisions
@@VarsityAthlete04 what does that have to do with... Champs who cleared out their divisions? When you are measuring that criteria alone, which is the point of this video, it's clearly DJ.
Yalls timing is always A1
Demetrious Johnson should be number 1.
this video was very enjoyable, gj
Sadly for dominant champions, it just gets to a point where people start blaming them for being so dominant, just look at Amanda, there's people out there who absolutely hate her just because she's that much better than everybody else, well except Juliana lol
That's not why I don't like her though. I don't like the identity politics and the fact that she was gifted a win over Valentina. What does her sex life have to do with MMA?
@@stanparker9556 what identity politics. Is it coz she's gay and not hiding that fact. You hate that she has a family. That sounds worst than the reason Luis put forward. You actually don't like her as a person coz of who she is, not her dominance in the ring. Do you get what you just said. Strange that you don't find male fighters with wives and children offensive and yet coz she's a woman you do. Mmm. Whatever is the cause
@@Dash101 no it's because I watch these events with family and I don't have a problem with her personal choices, but the way she has been marketed bringing attention to that fits the political narrative of the day and that's not why I pay $70 for a PPV. I'm a fight fan, I don't tune in to have someone's sexuality being tied to their identity. I appreciate her skill level and what she's accomplished but I'm not a fan. And the fact that Valentina clearly won but Amanda was awarded the decision. I also don't like Jon Jones because of all of his eye poking and other shenanigans. That and I watched Reyes beat him 3-2 but he's still "the undefeated goat"? Nah not in real life. Nice attempt at taking an intelligent and sincere point I made and trying to make me sound like "I hate her because of her sexuality" even though I had already said that's not the issue. You're the one that said that so argue with yourself if you want dummy 🤪 You should probably stop trying to sound smart, you're really bad at it.
2:50 Danas face after the Romero backflip 😲 🤣

I believe Matt Hughes deserves some recognition
Dude kamaru should be in it
Nah…..not yet. Probably in the future. He’s beat the same two guys twice and then Gilbert Burns. Masvidal isn’t a massive win either. That guys career has always been up and down.
GSP won two titles off Matt Hughes, ended John Fitches undefeated streak, beat Nick Diaz in his prime, smashed BJ Penn when BJ Penn was on top, avenged both his losses, If we get super technical, he’s only lost 5-6 rounds in 28 fights.
Usman is going to be there, but not yet.
Man I love the MMA community
If Izzy surpasses Silva in title defenses he will go down as the standard at which greatness is measured imo.

Really crusting to know that Jones will never be beaten in the cage. Great talent and fighter. But still would like to see an official “change of the guard” like with Rousey. Or DC.
i think izzy should go for champ champ again if he beats robert again
he simply doesn't *Deserve* it right now. And if it's against *Glover* no reason to either bother. *Glover* would *Submit* Izzy *early* in the *2nd* round
Nah a couple more defences first. He needs to wait for LHW to settle down. Why go and jump the guys putting down hardwork up there. He did it once, now he can wait for a stable champ who isn't gonna lose his next defence
Why? He got dominated at 205 and if he beats Whittaker it would only be 2 wins (in his own division) since that loss, in my opinion he either needs to go on a big streak at 185 again for an instant title shot or win a couple times at 205 first

Vettori was on a win streak though, it wasn't a short notice replacement fight. Izzy also answered questions about his skillset after the loss to Jan.
Silva's shirt at 6:04 says MORO, which means fun in Norwegian. And I find THAT hilarious
By the time Anderson let himself be KO'd, he had been trying to give the title away. Don't believe me? just take a look at 5-4 bouts before the Weidman KO, like around the Leites, Maia fights.....as Cage Fighter, I always said to those who asked, "I'll do it until it's no longer fun for me", and I could tell that Anderson was growing tired of the Obligation that comes with the #1 Headband, he was tired of Dana and he just wanted to be in Brazil, teaching The Spider's way of Muay Jitsu and growing his family. Mad Respect!
Anderson could have been GOAT but yeah he got sloppy for several fights and eventually got caught and paid the price.
You don't know what you're talking about. He submitted Chael Sonnemy when he could have just let the clock run out, he kicked Vitor's face into oblivion, he made Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonner look like children, and he destroyed Yushin Okami without breaking a sweat. Don't say stupid shit, it makes you look like an idiot. He didn't let himself be knocked out. GTFOH.
He was trying to give it away but he also was messing about too much and didn't really care if he was losing.
@@Journeyman2585 In the Weidman fights he was messing about. He could've easily beaten him but the first fight he messed about too much and the 2nd fight he got unlucky.
@@MistaTofMaine Is it sloppy if you are intentionally trying to loose? I think it was the Maia fight where he started to look visibly frustrated at the opponent for not taking the opportunity he was being gifted. What looked like taunting was actually him getting P.O'd and saying "come om hit me! why wont ou advance so I can lay down for you!?" take a second look. Honestly if I were his opponent at the time I may have been hesitant as well, He did Make Forest Run, and kicked the soul straitoutta Vitor like he was The Ancient one in Dr. Strange.
The thing people don't give Jon Jones credit for is that he didn't just beat guys, he beat them at their own game. Out grinded DC, out muay thai'ed shogun etc.
That's crazy next level stuff. When GSP won he did it by finding the holes in an opponents game, spider used his god like striking and length. Bones said "oh, you're a wrestler? Then let's wrestle. Oh you're a striker? Let's see how you can strike than."

Pump the brakes on Izzy, he’s still got a lot to prove. Also, MW has been pretty weak comparatively since he’s had the belt.
He still cleared the division tho? He’s literally fighting Whittaker a second time? And just fought Vettori. Brunson is looking good for a second shot at Izzy if he gets past Cannonier who has a loss to Whittaker? He did what the title says. Cleared his division
