I know it is ridiculously hard work to set up stage, lighting, electronics etc....but I would give my left nut to do this one time just to say I helped with the show, and obviously to meet my favorite band of all time. I'm an 80's guy and this band was with me, through their music, for most of my triumphs and failures. When you hear a song of theirs come on the radio and it makes you smile you know it means something. Thank you to Def Leppard for making life just that much better!
@@stargroves14 I traveled for almost two years. Cool knowing the talent, but as you said, what city and time zone. Can I see anything before I have to work? Was able to see the Vegas show twice, once from the pit on Viv’s side and the second from the front row on Phil’s. It was incredible!! I only wish I had gone to more shows. Especially now that the Stadium Tour has been postponed. I’m going through DL withdrawal!!😩😩
Let's see. Take a great drummer of a great band, take his left arm, and see what he is made of. He has IRON balls and a desire to overcome whatever the hell gets in his way. The whole band is awesome for believing in him, and Rick Allen is one tough man.
5:43 Jimmy should've put some of those shirts for sale, I'd definitely buy one!! All honesty though, what a super cool gesture. This man has tour managed for many many years for many notable acts and this being his last tour before retirement, cool to give away those shirts. I had the privilege of meeting him after a Def Lep show in July 2019 on their Canadian Tour and Jimmy was a super super nice guy and gave me many tips as I am interested in getting into this business.

Another great behind the scenes to check out is Def Leppard's 1988 In the Round Tour, I believe it was the Denver show. Great stuff to the open, where they played Stagefright.
Honestly wish I had made the trip to see this/these shows. Never have see DL live, wish I had in my younger days, but never had the $$$, or couldn't get a good seat by the time I found out about the show. I've been a fan since "On ThroughThe Night", so maybe my time its coming.
'The Thunder God' gets no cone? WTF? Cool drum rig. These blokes are truly epic. Yes, facts are the ability to tour off the set lists they use is 90% from the greatest musical, lyrical and on stage rock star strapped low in Steven Maynard 'The Riffmaster' Clark's incalculable gift he gave this band, even if both Sav/Elliot have at times downplayed these facts. But the 'real' Leppard fans know just what Steve gave this band. That they refuse to use recorded backing vocals, and they just do their own is evidence enough this band is pure rock n roll. Early OTTN, HnD and then into Pyro/Hysteria onwards Leppard are like Van Halen, the ONLY 2 bands to have x2 records certified in the US RIAC Diamond for 20 million plus units sold. Pyro's now over 25 million as is Hysteria. Never saw "Steamin". Will regret this until I die, but when the band puts up the montage to Steve, from the 'In The Round In Your Face Denver Colorado' 88 gig, sitting with his red 18 string Razor [his white one had a Kahler] his smile beaming as it is hid so much pain, but it is the ultimate tribute, and it is right to do. it's like when Vivian, a guitarist SO under rated by critics, and SO under used, and Collen do 'Switch'. That Leppard can still fill a joint like this, and still fill an arena decades on is testament to their enormous drive and talent. No Paul egomaniac Stanley lip syncing, just straight up rock.
I love concerts since i saw my first in 1979 in Seattle, but this is what I am most interested in is the backstage antics. I went backstage at Iron maiden in Seattle in 1981 but not to meet the band, my friend I was with had a joint sticking out of his pocket and security saw him and since he didn't have ID they booted him too. Anyways, i was backstage with Henry J a guy who did MTV videos and I knew him and he vouched for me so i got to stay in concert. I really was wanting to just stay backstage to watch what's going on and still to this day I'd love to go backstage preferably at a concert of a band i loved like Maiden or Def Leppard. But for now as I sit here designing video promos I am watching what happens in Vegas (where I lived for 5 years) backstage until that fateful day comes.
At 5:10 Joe mentions the "and I'm alone" vocal line. He's talking about a song from the Adrenalize record "Have you ever needed someone so bad". You can hear the line at the 2 minute mark on the song. It is on the record =P
