Hello Therese! I can hear those lovely birds in the background, so enjoyable!! I'm not really interested in the betterpress but I am glad to see so many ways to use it. The koi fish card is so pretty. It's my favorite. Question: Do the foam type ink pads put ink past the raised edges of the die and then possibly transfer onto the card when it is pressed? TFS!!
I will have to check it out, I've only tried it with the 'harder' style ink pads like the BetterPress ink, Obsidian, Altenew Fresh Dye Inks and Versafine Clair... I will have to experiement more lol.
Great recap on the better press system. all my questions answered. Having been waiting on buying one but you're making me a believer. Gorgeous, gorgeous cards and I love the results. Cheers
I always love watching your videos! I hadn’t thought of using regular color cardstock so I’ve got to give that a try! I especially like the koi card, especially with the inked background!❤️
Why wouldn't you? It's the best instant gratification - and I've experienced perfect results every time! I love the Betterpress ink the very most and it comes in such wonderful colors now. Loving this plate, Therese - it's now on my wishlist! Loving your Koi and underwater pond scene! SO clever, my friend! =]
Oh Therese- these are lovely! So much so that I can’t pick a favorite! The press plate is wonderful- I’ve added it to my wish list! Thank you so much for the inspiration and tips!
i love the better press but here's my tip: You can use any paper and any ink BUT for the best results I use hot or coldpress watercolour paper - hot press if you want smooth paper. I just use any ink in whatever colour I want to use and they all work beautifully. If you don't get the results you want, add paper underneath where you place the shims - I ended up buying two spare mylar shims, and I sometimes use them in my diecutting machine as well..
I've thought about adding extra layers for a better impression, I would have added it either beneath the paper or above the plate. Which shim are you saying Mandy, I am excited for this hack!
