There are soooo many to choose from and a company called Wow has the biggest selection and a great design team if you want more inspiration, you could check them out!
I'm loving your technique of transferring watercolour via smooshing the acetate onto the white panel. The method is, due to the randomness of colour-placing, lends a beautifully unique multicoloured result against the white. Thank you, Therese! Am looking forward to your next video. Cheers, Ada.
Thank you Lori, I just thought of it when I was trying to work out how to pop it up... but I'm sure many other people are way ahead of me on this one lol.
LOVE Heat embossing! You are right-- I Stat away from black embossing powder. I hate stray specks! Love the idea of getting pieces up with a craft knife! Thank you, Therese!🦋
Great tips Therese, I haven’t used my powders in a while… time to take them out again! Great tip to use acetate behind the vellum, very clever. Thank you for sharing as always ❤😘.
Lovely, lovely cards! It's so hard to pick a favorite but I guess mine is the one with the vellum sentiment. I love how you did that!! I have black powder but don't think I've ever used it! Too afraid! LOL! Thanks for the tips!
Yes, black powder can be scary, but I do hope you give it a try, just make sure to use 'clean' or a new piece of cardstock and prep with a LOT of powder first. Good luck!!
Great video. I get problems up here in Mackay with the humidity - grrr. Can't seem to get a good emboss at all. Thanks Therese and have a beautiful weekend. x
I love the watercolour transfer on the acetate. What a technique! What a great result! You mentioned new white paper you were trying with that technique, but I can't determine which paper it is, from your supplies list. Could you please share? Tks
It's from Crafty Critta in Australia (they also post internationally) and so far I am enjoying trying different techniques using the ONE cardstock. The only thing that doesn't seem to work as well is colouring with coloured pencils, unless you use Gamsol (or something similar). It also comes in US A4 and Metric A4 sizes (and if you like shiny, their foil is TDF 🥰). I have an affiliate link with their store, which means if you click on it and buy anything, I get a small commission at no extra cost to you, here is the US A4 size link tinyurl.com/dxj2v8y5 Otherwise search Crafty Critta for a product called Stamping Blending Paper. Hope this is helpful. I also have a Live video sharing my first testing of it, you can see that here ruclips.net/user/liveH2vVE_BkZ5M?si=uEt73OfjUkuQ3AJ1 Crafty hugs, Therese
@@lostinpaper Oh, thank you, Therese! I'm in NZ, so shopping from Oz is definitely doable. I will click your link and watch the video. I tried the technique with the 176gsm Franchville paper we get from Spotlight, but the acetate transfer didn't work.
Hi Terese, I checked your listing for the type of 2 heat, heat tool you are using here. You have it listed as available from SSS, the one showing is for 110V use only. That would very quickly blow up here in Australia. Are you using a Step down transformer, or is there a 240V version available? Regards Liz
Hi Liz, I am using the UK version of the tool and had the power cord changed to an Australian plug (but you can use an adapter for a UK plug also). Neha used to sell it at Auzz trinklets - so she may be able to reorder it, you could always ask atcraft.com.au/products/wowdualspeedheattool-uk220vto240vcompatiblewithauspoweradaptor But you can also buy it direct from WOW UK or from ebay from UK ?? I can't verify the seller, but I found this one here tinyurl.com/4cf7xyz4 Hope this helps, the tool is fab. Or you could reach out to Jo Herbert she is on their design team and she lives in Australia. Hugs Therese
I have always loved embossing. I'm so glad you brought it back. I didn't think the powders still existed. 🙂

Thank you so much Ada!
This makes me so less scared of embossing! And I love the idea of adding thick acetate to the vellum. Thankyou! 😊
Wonderful, thank you!
Cutting acetate to sturdy up vellum... GENIUS!! Great tips Therese. TFS!!
Thank you Lori, I just thought of it when I was trying to work out how to pop it up... but I'm sure many other people are way ahead of me on this one lol.
Those cards are so pretty. I've never used ink over embossing before. It's beautiful. Mrs. Ed
It's an easy way to colour and excess ink can easily be wiped off the embossing powder.
Such a hard choice, but I think I like the ink smooshed one the very best. So dramatic on the flowers. Thanks Therese!
Yes, it's my fave colour combo for papercrafting, glad you like it Judy!
Love the cards! Thanks for the tip for fixing the overheating..
You are so welcome, thank you Pam!
These are fantastic techniques, I have always stayed away from these techniques.

I found it was more the cardstock that I was using that really affected results, I know you will have tried a few, the humidity must be frustrating!
