Can't say I'm sad over it. I said after he ripped off that poor elderly couple that needed to sell their mint '73 Ford truck just to keep their house (yeah he bragged about it on here), that KARMA was gonna get him soon for not taking at least part of that HUGE profit back to them and helping them out.

3 years ago my wife left me. I was hurt, I was falling into depression, I was desperate for something to keep the "bad thoughts" out of my head. Low and behold one day, I ran into a video of Robb on VinWiki and I was HOOKED! it was the first time I had laughed in weeks. Suddenly I had something to do , besides cry and blow up my ex wives phone up begging her to come back. For what it's worth, through robs honey covered gravel voiced stories and jokes he very likely ,at the time, saved a life, a 5 year Olds hero and my side job career as a car flipper. I'm now happily remarried, a father of a 5 and a 18 month old boy. I got some inspiration from him to stop getting emotionally attached to cars and actually start flipping them to stop hoarding my shrewdly negotiated cars and fund the nice projects. May his family find some peace in knowing the inspiration THE Rabbit is and forever will be, RIP Robb.

Thank you for those wonderful words, Ed.
My channel started last year, in very large part, because of you, Freddie, and Tyler. But, I have always tried to model my story telling approach to the laid back, casual style Rob always conveyed, (well, as much as a high-strung Midwesterner can). He was a true Master Storyteller. I think I've watched every single video of him at least three times, because he always had a way of finishing a story in a way that left you wanting to hear the next one. It was a true gift.
Through hearing his stories, I got to feel like he was a close friend, even though we never actually met. I would hear him speaking and see that smile, and instantly we were two automotive enthusiasts sitting at a bar, drinking a beer and smoking cigarettes, just having a conversation about what we loved. His demeanor on camera always said to me, "Come on, this ain't that hard.", and through that, he helped me get over my initial fear of being in front of the lens. I will never be able to thank him enough for that wonderful gift.
My heartfelt condolences to his family, his friends, and to all of us.
His smile and his voice will be deeply missed.

Rob worked at a Carfax near Dulles VA when my mom was getting a new vehicle. He was her salesman and I never ever forgot him because his voice and kindness always stood out to me. I was an awkward 13-something and he looked at me during the paper signing and said "Young man, you need a hat. A big hat. I dont have one for ya, but I think it was up to me to let you know you needed one."
So when he showed up on Vin wiki I called my mom and sent her the link to his stories.
He likely didn't remember me, but I'll never forget him.

As a kid growing up in a house without electricity and running water, there are things you look forward to every week. A boiled hot water bath on Saturday night, and after Church on Sunday our family came home and would listen to our battery radio from Sears.
On this radio show was a fellow from waaaaay down south. His name was Jerry Clower.
This man could tell you a10 minute story, that took an hour to put you there, so you could feel it.
Our radio station stopped carrying him in 1988.
I found out Jerry died August 24 of 1998.
I thought, well the last of the good story tellers?
Then I heard a kid out of the backwoods of Texas, named Ralphie May, and my heart was happy again.
    Then he died 2017.
Then I found vinwiki thru Hoovies's Garage, and of course The Rabbit.
There I was 10 years old again, my eyes closed so Rob could paint pictures in my mind.
God damn, some people just step in shit, and come out smelling like money!
I liked him best for his love of his parents.
So it was time for the Rabbit to go?
    Go on Rabbit. RUN!
    Maybe we'll meet another day?
    Sleep well son.

I’m glad that stigma is going away. When I found out my mom’s cancer had come back a second time and far worse, I walked over to my best friends office, and just broke down. A good cry and hug were what I needed at that moment, and a big bonding point between the two of us.

Rob was the reason I found VINwiki. And over the last 7 years I’ve gotten such enjoyment from not only his videos but the other incredible storytellers on the channel. I’ve been blessed enough to enjoy his stories on here and on his channel too. Rob entertained me through some very difficult times in my life, and for that I’ll be forever grateful. Rest in peace to a true legend. The world was better for having you in it.

Rob's video last night scared the shit out of me. I didn't put two and two together at first when he hadn't had a video in a year. And i didn't put two and two together that he had actually passed, just that he wasn't comfortable being on camera or couldn't speak. Man, this hurts like hell. He's a legend and tells the best stories right there with Christopher.
Rob, you will be missed more than you will ever know brother. I deal with severe Crohn's disease and have had 3 surgeries. Thankfully i don't have stomach cancer.
We've lost TWO legends this year to stomach cancer, the other being Mr. Toby Keith. I know you and him are up in heaven jamming and singing and telling amazing stories.
Rabbit, we love you and we miss you.

Hearing the news of Rob getting sick was heartbreaking. i was waiting for a long time for him to upload a new video but figures he was busy with Netflix and other stuff. When i saw the new video upload and saw the title, it broke me. I have never been this invested into a social media person ever before. When the video ended with goodbye for now and before he passed i was hoping he'd go into remission. When i browsed through my recent videos and saw the title change, i sank. Will miss your storytelling and voice. Rest in piece.

Rob told a story about being in a bad motorcycle accident, and thanking the people that cared for him at the hospital. That stuck with me, and now, when I visit my brother at the nursing home, i always wave and say "thanks" to the people at the nurses' station. Give thanks to the caretakers, that's what Rob taught me.

Last weekend I was in Rock Hill, SC on vacation and listened to Rabbit’s top 10 videos driving home to PA with my mom. She got a kick out of his stories and I wondered what was going on since we hadn’t heard from Rob in a while. I figured it was somewhere between a contractual exclusivity with Netflix and the cartels making him their top salesman, but never figured it was this. When I saw his video yesterday I told my wife “this sounds terminal” and it’s just a very, very sad day for those of us here including cancer survivors like myself. Rob provides us all so many smiles and laughs that they’re too many to count, and I hope that he’s at peace and we’ll all see the man in his best form someday in the future.

Rabbit was the epitome of every Used Car Hustler, that way of phrasing was uniquely his, and his tales plus his personality drew you in to his story, like you were actually there. It's a talent very few people possess. He'll live on forever here on RUclips, and in our hearts.... Go get 'em Rabbit!

Dear Ed, although I first met the Rabbit online a few years ago, (and have enjoyed every one of his many stories), I had always hoped I’d be able to meet him in person one day. Unfortunately that honor is no longer possible, but the wonderful memories I’ll carry until I am called home will have to suffice for the time being. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend, and the outstanding tribute you’ve created is much appreciated. Ed, thank you kindly for sharing some of your time together with Rob, (along with your adventures on your channel). Please extend my sincerest condolences to his mother and bride. R.I.P. Mr. Rob Pitts.
