This is the few resources only showing this, so thanks for making the video!
However, my recommendation to future viewers: I would not ignore the instructions.
The stem that you discarded because has 2 ways to fit in, the instructions specifically specify which end to use depending on the diameter of the fork. The rubber stem comes bigger than the hole on purpose, and you are supposed to measure and cut so you end up only with 1" of stem. No need to order extra parts.
Were you able to use that stem without having to go and buy a rubber stopper like in the video?
I just installed this on my 2016 cbr 1000 and instead of buying a new rubber piece I used a rotary tool and shaved down the big rubber piece on the end that they provide. I got it to where it fits snug inside my fork stem and then cut it to fit onto the mount and it worked perfectly.

Top washer should be smaller so you can get the mount entirely in. Now it kind of stand up because washer stays outside of the fork hole.

Get adapter kit to run a charger as well.... I use a different phone mount for my bike but Ram Mount makes a good kit ...

Great Video I have the same bike but the SP model the rubber stopper didn’t work bc for some reason the Honda SP model the whole is too big for the rubber stopper it just would fall right threw just FYI.

I think Ram Mount may have updated their rubber insert - I was able to perform the install on my '19 CBR 1000RR; no need to buy the stopper now.

I have a 2017 CBR1000rr abs. Just bought this exact Hillman part number from Lowes. Measured the piece for accuracy to the package dimensions. It matched. Pushed it into my stem. It immediately fit completely flush (maybe a 1/64 or less of overlap) with my stem hole in a 49 degree garage. So why should I cut it?

Nice, helpful vid. But according to the Ram Mount official install video, your install is just a tad off. The stem base is supposed to go much deeper into the stem hole.
