- Before working in fashion, I worked in the cosmetics industry. So this video isn't only a skincare routine with my favorite products for winter. i It also gives tips on how to care for your skin based on where in the world you live!
I cover face care, body care and hand care.
As all French women, I would always say: protect your skin! It is easier than to fix the damage afterwards.
And healthy skin doesn't need make-up...
Thumbs up if you liked this video :-)

Hi everyone! I hope this video answers your question about I take care of my skin 😊. Products used: listed in the description. If you want further tips, comment below and I am happy to share what I learnt while working in the cosmetics industry 💛. Have a great Sunday!
Justine Leconte officiel thank you Justine watching from Tanzania..i am a filipina.😘😘
Thank you for sharing this video with us 😍😍 skincare is my ultimate addiction 😁😁
Thank you Justine for your videos and for sharing these great tips!!! I would like to ask how do you remove your mascara at the end of the day??? I always struggle with that and it is difficult to avoid for it to get inside the eye :)
I use the same micellar water, but I don't really like it, it smells kind of weird. Does yours have a smell? I feel like it is not supposed tohave a smell.
We love you Justine! Thank you for all your input make women stylish!
The 'Hi everyone, it's Justine' always makes me smile back at you :)
Anuka Me too! She makes me happy!
Justine is so easy and soothing to listen to 🤗
Went to France within the first year of me starting taking good care of my skin [26] and also when I started using more make up for fun/going out etc.
I was amazed by French girls and their amazing skin, the little use of make up, etc. I came back home with a new view on everything and the way I see and treat my skin. Gradually I let go or finished the things I wouldn't repurchase, now I just focus on great skin and accentuate my attributes rather than hide what I have.
I love loving my skin
I'm pleasantly surprised. I thought you were going to list a half dozen high end, pricey French luxury brands. I expected to see Caudalie or Clay du Poe but instead you use good ole Garnier miscellar water & Nivea moisturizer. Yes! Good skin care can be simple & inexpensive. Thank you! 👍
Products she uses are full of plastic, silicon, petrochemical products... Don't spend your money in these products, use natural things. My skin is much better with natural oils...
@@laventine2204 I agree and I'm susprised Justine uses brands such as Garnier and Nivea.
Agree. Anyway, in my experience the same brands in center Europe are higher quality than in other countries. I am from México and here Garnier is one of the worst brands I've ever tested, but those Garnier products I got in Switzerland were quite good. (same with L'Oréal and Nivea)
I'm just saying that we must consider the quality of ingredients at every country
This is probably because those companies, Garnier and Nivea, asked her to promote them in her routine to most likely advertise. I was surprised as well. If you look back at previous videos about French skin care routines, she does say French women don’t give out their beauty routines. The only product I may see her using, which is a great brand I use regularly, is the eye cream by La Roche Posay. Cheers 😊
@@laventine2204 That is true. I use natural cosmetic oils and balms. Some of them are quite pricey but that quality and little goes long.
Hi Justine, thank you very much for this video. I'm From Russia (St.Petersburg) so I can add a comment regarding the "dry russian hands" phenomenon. It's not only about the weather, it's also (maybe even more) about the water. In St.Petersburg we have a very specific water, they clean it very-very good so not much microelements and staff is left. So, when I go to certain countries in Europe, my hands get extremely dry, because my skin is not used to this water. Things are the worst in Germany and Netherlands for my skin. On the other hand, in Austria my skin looks perfect 'cause of their water. So the water' difference is very important:)
+Dicacitas good point. In the South of France, tap water is full of "calcaire" (white stone) so it dries too...
Dicacitas absolutely 🖐🏻
That’s so funny! I’m from the NL and when i went to st Petersburg my skin and hair got super dry. It indeed depends on what you’re used to.
Next on hair care! ☺
Less is more and the result shows since your skin looks great
I was a pale kid who grew up in the California sun. My parents were pretty strict with the sunscreen but I still burned at least once every year The importance of not burning was drilled into me from a young age. When I lived in Turkey I was always horrified by the sight of fair, Northern European tourists baking in the sun.
Your videos are so relaxing... Can binge-watch them all day. A refreshing break from those "HEY! WOW! LOOK AT ME!" personalities that are common on RUclips these days. Cheers. x
Sasha Brigante i agree, its Nice to listen to someone who cuts the chitchat and just gets straight to the point. I love how frugal you are with words Justine!
Merci, Justine! Now we know why your skin always looks so very beautiful. I particularly like when you give us the French perspective on fashion & beauty.
Love the fact you used easily accessible products for the 'average woman' and thrilled to see someone use the same moisteriser as me! So many videos push expensive or ultra expensive products which is just not realistic for normal women and I do wonder just how much more effective they are compared to products like Garnier.
This is a great video because you don't use many products and all the products are low cost. The message you send to us is very encouraging: maintening our beauty is not something that only rich women can achieve and doesn't take much time. ☺
I agree- a gentle and simple routine is best. Lovely video!
Thank you so much, Justine, for sharing your routine and products with us.
This was great! Loved that you listed all the products you use.
You have such lovely skin. I love that you do such simple yet effective skin care routine and that the products you use are not in the hundreds of dollars range. All very accessible.
Once again your expertise is wonderfully honest & inspiring!! I have recently learned how sensitive my skin is and this video is really helpful. Thanks Justine
You are so amazing and inspiration 😍 lots of love 💖
Thank you for sharing Justine. Love your videos! They always make my day and I learn so much from you. Please keep going xx
Thanks for your "daily skin routine" video. Makes a lot of sense and it reminds me of the one I grew up with in Europe. Look sooo beautiful with the ponytail/ braid, without any makeup. I hope that many young ladies will follow your suggestions, rather than buying too much makeup at a very young age.
I would also love to learn about your hair care routine!!! 😊 Thank you so much for this inspiring video!!!
You mention the study about dry hands... I can relate! I grew up in oppressive, muggy Florida and later moved to North Dakota, which offers sub-freezing temperatures more than half the year! I grew up thinking I just naturally had thick, wavy, coarse hair. When living in ND, the windy, dry environment turned my hair pin-straight, silky, wispy. Now I'm back in FL and it's somewhere in between! Human beings are amazing adapters but also highly sensitive. Environment is definitely a great place to start when thinking about self care.
Thank you for sharing your routine- I learned so much about skin care!
Justine you are so down to earth and beautiful, i look forward to your videos every wednesday you are so clued up with everything fashion and beauty related and use such affordable products. Definatly my favourite you tuber, keep up the fantastic work xxx
Thankyou for including the differences in skincare needs based on where you are that is very helpful :)
Thanks for the lovely videos Justine! Shopping in pharmacies was one of my favorite parts of visiting Paris...such high quality products!
Thanks, Justine, very practical selection of good products.
Great tips !!! You included everything in this video 💕💕💕
Thank you for talking about skincare! I use a mix of US, french and south korean products mostly for my skincare and I have found that these are the most hydrating and keep my skin from getting irritated.
Guerlain- orchidee imperiale eye cream
The History of Whoo- Gongjinhyang whitening emulsion.
Estee Lauder- hydrationist for all over moisture
Vichy - Capital Soleil - dry finish sunscreen lotion 45 SPF
Clinique- Super City Block 40 SPF
Loccitane- Voile de lait -for hands
Aveda - Hand relief- for all over body (including feet)
I like how all your skin care products are easy to find and not expensive. I like La roche posay they have amazing products. Great video.❤
Thank you for sharing your routine with us! 💕 hope you can recommend us more eye care
Justine, loved this very much! Very practical with not so pricey products! We are French Canadienne and my mother and family always had beautiful skin! She also worked in cosmetics and did a lot of what you were sharing! Love your channel!! 👍☺️
I love this video and the products described. I have sensitive skin and the recommended products are perfect for sensitive skin.
Thank you for sharing your skincare routine with us, Justine! :)
Love the idea that you have diversity of videos!
I too have found simplest and economically helpful brands to be the best!
Thank you for sharing your skincare routine! It feels nice to see someone using only a few affordable products. I've recently seen a video of a French make up artist that I like, and she uses more than 10 products in the morning and other 10 different ones in the evening. Thank you for showing us it is possible to have great skin with less stuff!
ufff, what a relieve, when i watched other french woman tutorial on skin they used tons of products and their routin took hour. and i always felt guilty for not doing enough. Thank you for showing that it can go this easy way... love from Slovakia
happylucky216 You can always use more in "anti-aging" but not in cleansing.Never destroy the natural acid barrier of your skin.
Really appreciate you saying that you don't touch your face unless you wash them first ! People don't think how much dirt we pick up all the time.
I also have to say what I often say = You look so much younger with no make-up, I noticed you in your bathroom mirror. But, we love using M/Up so....what can I say !
I found this so interesting! Thank you! I love that you are wearing your earrings too- they are beautiful on you. I bought the rose gold version and love love love them.
So simple and affordable, love it!
Thank you Justine! Love your video like always!
I totally love how you wash with just water, this is also my method, and very important! Speaking here from Colorado in the US.
You're wonderful, thanks for this !! God bless
Fabulous! I totally agree - prevention is better than cure. My personal choice is to use organic products so my skin is not absorbing too many chemicals. I’m not loyal to a specific brand & regularly change face products. However I will occasionally use a pure honey face mask (out of the jar in the kitchen) when taking a bath - and I always use coconut oil to remove eye makeup. I have found it the best for me, it also keeps my lashes in tip top condition.
At last a practical skin care video. No 10 steps or 100 steps of night or day care routine. So much scrabbing and exfoliating and fancy and expensive products. Non of that thank God!. Great video.
Exactly!
You look even more beautiful with your hair up off your face! Thank you for educating us!
You are great at this!!!.
Thank you SO much!
Thank you Justine. I like that you used midrange priced items that have value. I have sent on link to my daughter who is 26. I agree skincare must start early, and I will say it has served me well. Limiting sun exposure is a must as well. Keep advising, you are amazing , very relateable, and eloquent in your delivery of valuable information to your followers.with appreciation,Emily
Hey everyone. I read through the comments and just wanted to add that everything is made of chemical substances, you and everything you know. Yes, even organic ingredients are chemicals. And not everything synthetic is bad, and not everything natural is good. It just depends. Things are more complex than that and not black and white "this is 100% bad always, this is 100% good always". Just saying. Lots of love for Justine!! :) PS: I don't think you can get too much sun protection, so SPF 50 is my default, no matter what. And yes, super important to prevent rather than fix. Bisou!
You're right, it depeds. Chemistry is everywhere, but not everything is chemical, artficial. Radioactivity is perfectly natural, but still lethal. And there are things that are toxic, some ingredients we're still using will be banished soon, like it happened in the past. It doesn't mean those ingredients are evil themselves, just not meant for a body purpose.
@Alina Marinescu You are so right. "Natural" doesn't always mean better or safer. Actually, often is the other way around
I started to use baby SPF because it goes up to 75 on some
Kind regards from Canada. I enjoy your work and your thorough teachings. You are lovely. 🇨🇦
You are amazing! Thank you!
I like that you use products that are affordable and can be found in most stores. And not just products that are expensive and only found in the luxury section at the shopping malls.
Thanks for this video. Very informative! I appreciate it.
I also LOVE the Garnier mycellar water with the pink cap. It really cleans well. I've been happy with it. I live in the deep south USA where there is a lot of sun and it is very humid in summer. Sun protection is essential. Whatever skin product I buy I try to make sure it has spf, including makeup. I bought L'oreal 48 hour moisturizer for face recently, the blue one for sensitive skin, but then I read the ingredients and it has aluminum in it (!!), so I am now on the hunt for a good, simple, lightweight face lotion with spf and no metals. Oh, by the way, I love Gold Bond (I don't know whether that brand is in Europe) neck & chest cream. It really improves that area in smoothing and firming - I am 59, and I notice a difference when using it. It's inexpensive. Just passing along the tip. Nice video, Justine, as always. :-) ♡
Justine, always fabulous and educational.
une des meilleures vidéos sur la peau que j'ai pu voir jusqu'à présent!
The long awaited video !! Yeay!
I work att pharmacy myself and ,believe me, I have tried everything! I`ve learnd one thing during the process of finding the best skincare for myself - nothing beats the nature! Specially good for me was rhassoul clay which I use for cleaning my face, body and my hair. This clay is really inexpensive and works wonderfully...Rosehip oil and rose water are two other favourites of mine... But as you say, it is good to try many different products until you find the best one for you. It is always a joy watching your videos!
I totally agree. You should try Aleppo soap.Olive oil soap.
I was going to ask about this, actually thought of it last night! Thank you, I am becoming a giant fan.
Hi Justine
You're skin care is so simple!🤩
Would you do a series on skin care day /night routine?
Hi Justine, thank you soooo soooo much for this video. I have been living in France for 6 years and I have NEVER found the right products for me based on advice given by Sephora staff and pharmacists. And in winter my skin gets so dry, but the products that I had either don't hydrate enough or they irritate my skin. I went to try some of the products in the video after watching it and have been using them for a couple of months now and the result is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I cannot thank you enough!!!
Please please consider doing a similar video for spring and summer please :)
glad it is working for you! Everyone's skin is different, it is a matter of finding the right combination for oneself :-)
Thank you!!! You have great skin!
Thank you so much for this video!! I love how the products are easily available anywhere and not expensive. I want to know if eye creams are good for teenagers, 17 years old.
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this information
Very important info. I have been experimenting all over the place
Hi Justine, I have always been in awe of how French women take care of their skin. Back in 1985 when I was 22 I went to Paris with my French Canadian mother. My favorite item I bought was a French magazine filled with beautiful photos/advertisements of skincare, treatments, etc. This video brings back a lot of those memories! Now at the age of 54 I still try my best with using sun block, etc. My question is: Do you EVER use soap on your face - even a liquid soap?
Love this video! Also, I think the lipstick you're wearing is very flattering on you!
Thank you, great range. Fill like I can go and buy them today!
You look SO much better with a clean face! I mean this in a positive way, truly.
woohooo you are almost at 300k Justine!!:)
Thank you. This was a very helpful video. You have lovely skin!
You look so beautiful without make up too!
I am insanely jealous of how even your eye area looks. Mine is a cornucopia of reds, blues and browns all shimmering through the skin. I sleep enough and drink plenty of water and it changes nothing. Thank God for good concealer!
Also, if you've never tried Garnier's Hydra Bomb night creme you definitely should - it's like an extremely watery gel type texture and makes your skin feel absolutely amazing.
L'occitane Divine and Shea Butter I'm loving them
loved this video. thankyou!
Thank you! That was super useful!
You have amazing skin😍😍😍 thank you. Your videos help me a lot
Hi Justine. Loved this video. Thanks x
Hi Justine, first off thank you very much for sophisticated and helpful videos. I would like to ask you to share your hair care routine with us. Keeping long hair hydrated and not to have dryness on its length is very difficult but yours looks always healthy and shiny.
Thank you! This was very helpful! I don't wear any make up and I saw few morning/night routines that include the skin care process, most of them are about makeup...
Great vid so glad u posted! I'm very happy 2c u mention clean hands b4 touching ur face. Far 2many people don't do that and wind up with acne. Glad u mention how important skin care is. Very young YT'ers think applying lots of makeup is fine and hides problem skin but is better to start with pretty skin. I'm learning from Korean ladies to wear heavy sunscreen on my hands bc of the sun tanning hands while driving in summer. In NY we take skincare more seriously than b4 and u see a lot of people with sun-brellas to protect on sunny days. Ur complexion looks gorgeous as always!💐
lovely video justine, what do you think of oils such as rosehip or jojoba?
I use similar products its so important to give the skin a break. Anti-Aging and water is really all you need. All irritation after your puberty is often caused by too much care and allergies. Great video.
I would love to learn about your travel skincare routine (especially your thoughts on using a mask inflight)
Thank you for sharing...I love that lipstick color on you!
Skin care!! Now that's my kind of sport!! :P Love this so much!!
Such a fun video! Thanks for the tips! 🌟❤️😎
You are such an inspiration :) May we see your haircare routine, too?
My god I literally spent over one hour in 2 pharmacies today searching for products for my super sensitive dry skin! Lovely video as always xxx
Thank you Justine! I use a “natural” brand called Derma-e. It does not irritate my skin. I am a grandmother, I have few wrinkles but live a pretty clean life in a humid (Pacific Northwest, USA) climate. My Mumsy uses Eucerin and such but I am concerned about the chemicals so I like products with vitamins and more food grade type ingredients.
The brands you use are some of my favourites and would not be without a good routine, which is possible without spending a huge amount 🇨🇦✌🏻
Merci Justine pour ces supers infos!👍👍😉
I just discovered your channel! Loving it.. lived in Paris for about 3-4 years before moving overseas again and fell in love with the Parisian style :D
Hi Justine, I like to hear your thoughts on expensive skin care brands contra drugstore brands.
A wonderful video Justine! I have dry and sensitive skin, and often spend more money on skincare than makeup (I don't wear much makeup though), and find it pays off. I agree, less is more . Thank you for the skincare tips, I will definitely be using them :)
I always enjoy your videos and appreciate you sharing reasonabley priced cosmetic products. It's so easy to get carried away with product hype. At 65 I'm wrinkle free. I attribute this to avoiding being in the direct sun because my skin is so fair that I burn very easily. I also live in an area where it the temperature is moderate and it rains frequently which helps keep my skin from drying out. I feel so fortunate that I wasnt a sun worshiper in my youth. Thank you for all you do for us Justine. 😳
Love your videos
Interesting as always...I like learning one thing or two every day.
I ADORE your content!! I am intrigued since you know about cosmetics, could you do a favourites video? or cosmetic related videos of any kind more often? Thank you Justine I really love your work!
