The headstock perfectly incorporates the Firebird vibe, while the pickguard additionally reinforces the Mustang shape. All around, this design coherently harmonises offset classics whithout itself feeling any less classic. Well done, design and R&D team!
I've been watching you guys for probably ten years at this point and Lee, you're playing just keeps getting better. Pete you're always a charmer too. Thank you all for so many incredible videos over the decade
Got mine one year ago. No regrets what so ever. Build, specs, looks, playability and tones are top-notch. I love the pickups. The mini humbuckers are very versatile and suit most stiles. Love you're playing as always.
Yes I agree with you. Unique mix of gritty metallic tones and clear dazzling scratchy notes... If I had some money left I'd by one Silouhette... to plug into a tweed set on some crunchy tones... I'm sure they would be the perfect pair.
Aww Lee, best expression ya just can't buy! You guys are musically top end. Another intro/outro for the new album release. Mini HB may be the best all around pickups. I always lamented Harmony's change to higher end pricing but they are made well. Thanks fellas, or is it Sir Fellas?
Picked up one of these (in the States) after eyeing one for a year and I'm so bummed I waited. Fit and finish is between my Gibson LP Trad Pro and Fender EJ Strat, so I feel like it's probably priced a tad conservatively even. The mono bag is excellent. The pickups/electronics are my favorite part; very usable/sweet tones and the pots have a nice, wide sweep to them. Not sure if they all have this, but I love the subtle flaming on the back of the neck as well. Just a joy to play!
Got a chance to play one of these at a local music shop. I was blown away by the quality, feel, and most importantly, SOUND. Incredible instruments! Love the pickups. Great playing, too! Especially the outro jam!
Wow Cap! Nice work! Liked the comment about the singer being able to hold down the rhythm and sing without having to focus so much on the guitar. Might have to pick one of these up.
I really just tune in for the jam. I have my eye on a Yamaha Revstar at the moment. Having said that, it must also be said that the Captain is really holding his own with his solos. He's very rhythmic and tasteful. Well done Lee! As for Danish Pete, he just makes it all look so easy. Great funky opening jam!
I am shocking in love with the attack, snap, and pop from these guitars. Will see if I have second thoughts on my decision earlier today to give a used Tom Anderson Raven a shot.
Been saving up for a pearl white Silhouette for about 3 months. This video just affirmed that plan. Great playing, outro sounded awesome. These guitars are a great deal at the price point.
Juicy jam at the top & the tail of this vid - Harmony getting a great start out of the gate here. Props to The Captain & Danish Pete for some tasty sounds - makes me wanna buy one!
Do not let the PU gold cover fool you there is an vintage spec Firebird PU under it. Keep in mind the guitars is made at the very same factory the the first Firebirds were made in. In fact they still have a lot of the original Gibson machinery. The guys doing the detailed hand work on these Harmony's learnt from the guys that made all those killer 50's Gibson's
I found your backing tracks on Amazon Music. Those are fun to Jam along with. I like how Lee is more of an ambient player. That style is straight from the heart and shows a different range of Guitar tones.
I hear “Tele” and “Jazzmaster” mentioned, but to my ear the tone is closer to the Jaguar range. A simplified Jaguar, of course, without the extra circuits and stuff.
Got a Majesty and JP6 in mystic dream Had the jp6 ten years and would never sell it Wouldn’t sell the majesty either Best guitars I’ve ever played Got a custom shop strat because of Rorys influence Been through a fortune in finding my perfect guitars and I’m happy with the ones I’ve got
Nice guitars.. Nice plug and play jobbies. Nothing fancy and some nice snappy tones in there. These would be great utility guitars, they have plenty of snap and a little more moody tone from the neck pickup that's pleasant.
I found out that these are made by the same factory that makes the American Rickenbackers, but still these are pretty pricey for what they are... And I love old Harmony arch tops and such. I personally feel these are about $350 over the mark... but hey, that's just my opinion. Glad to see they revived them at least!
on the web site it says these come with cases not gig bags, also FYI if you select Harmony as the brand on the electric guitar page only the Comet comes up. This is actually a big problem with the web site in general, it's very hard to find many guitars, often only being able to find them if you happen to the know the name and use the search input, or if they come up in the related products tab.
If you guys would google Harmony Silhouette - bobcat you'd find that this design started in 1966/67 in sunburst with real goldfoil pickups and a crap bridge. It was my and probably many other guys first guitar
Best I've heard the Cap'n yet! Really diggin those axes, but they're headstocks make em look more student editiony I feel. Maybe a little more glam on the stock?
@@rodd1000 Lol. I wish i work for them! I just follow and subscribe to Andertons. Love it especially when The Captain and The Pete is on. Salesman aside. Their chemistry and love for guitars are legit. Dan and Mick from That Pedal Show are my go to guys too. Enjoy your day Karl and stay safe out there. :)
Yeah I'd totally get one. Especially love the white. I play goth rock/metal and recorded with a Danelectro 58 reissue, you can play anything on anything and these "vintage" type guitars add a very unique feel to dark/heavy music ie Chelsea Wolfe.
Yup..I have owned quite a few reverse and non reverse Firebirds...My Silhouette plays better, sounds better and stays in tune better than all the Gibbys.. Still think Firebirds look better!
Really like them but I’m not sure about the headstock. It makes it look like the old flimsy Harmony guitars from back in the day. Maybe it’s got to do with the cheap looking truss rod plate. Anyway, great tones!
So are the pickups made in the US too or is it like the PRS S2 line with the body and neck made in US but all the components sourced from overseas? Just a curiosity. Also, they seem a good value since some of the PRS S2 are really getting up there in price.
Was wondering the same thing.. at least if and where I can buy them!! I’m a lefty who retails these guitars and everything these guys are saying is true. Just phenomenal guitars.. I would buy these PU’s for my lefty guitars if I could. That’s how good I think they are.. they don’t do lefties sadly.
I really don't miss Chappers' metal solos on any and every guitar. :)

Is it me or has the Captain developed into an amazing guitar player? Man, that sounded good! Kudos!
Hey Lee, no BS, that was some of the nicest soloing I've seen you do at the end of this vid. Great feel.

The outro Jam was so good. One of my favorites for sure. The way Pete set the groove and then Captain was so tasteful. What a nice back and forth. 😮

The 'Ambient Tones' part is basically Lee remembering he likes to play guitar. 😉
I swear the Silhouette is one of the best looking new guitars since I started playing about 10 years ago.
Whaaaat ??
The guitar has been around since the the 60’s…
It does look nice. The arm contour is also a nice touch for comfort.
I’m absolutely stricken by this guitar. I’m going to be getting one very soon.
Lee has a lot of character in his playing. Its unique. It doesnt sound like everybody else
Wow Cap! Nice work! Liked the comment about the singer being able to hold down the rhythm and sing without having to focus so much on the guitar. Might have to pick one of these up.

The captain's playing is on fire.
Nicolas Isaksson. Totally! i would definitely buy an instrument from a shop owner that could play that well.

Same, saving for a 502 or 502T, those P90s and the finish are insane for the price.
Super tasty outro jam! Love the little riff fills. Thanks for another great demo!
Really good sounding guitars, of course they both have really nice pedalboards with great pedals

Hey Captain, there was some incredible phrasing going on in the outro solo. Nice!
Wow! That's some good stuff. You guys were bringing it that day.

Yep Lee, there is a definite Billy Bo thang sneakin around those babies. I reckon candy apple with a brushed aluminium pick guard would look sweeet!

fell in love with the blue one instantly - just wish it had full size humbuckers as that bridge one was a little too harsh for me. lovely guitars
I have one in the champagne color. These are really fantastic guitars and an amazing value for a high quality USA made guitar.
Does the Silhouette suffer from neck dive ?
@@clevertrevor7360 No neck dive at all. Really comfy guitar to play sitting or standing.
I just bought a 1970 harmony electric guitar. It’s in mint condition and sounds epic. Even got the original whammy bar
Do these sound as good? Im really thinking of buying one.
Omg this thing is insanely gorgeous! I love this shape so much, holy shit!!!

Really digging the jam at the end, guys!
I want this in navy! I wanna play post-punk with it. This guitar sounds so sexy.
St. Vincent played a 1960s Harmony H15 / H17 Bobkat before her Musicman signature
My brothers first guitar was a Harmony Chinese Strat. I had no idea they came back and are making American guitars!
They do look like a cross between the Squier 51 and Jazzmaster
Hmmm interesting. Nice playing as always. I would rather have EBMM Mariposa or Albert Lee model for a similar vibe, but more $$$
Didn't know Omar had gone to work with EBMM! Pretty cool guitar.

Holy Mackerel, Lee!! Love your licks in the outro jam. Great phrasing.
Methinks someone has been practicing off camera. Nicely done.
I have an old firebird looking Harmony with a wood bridge that basically is held down by the strings. Late 60’s early 70’s I’m guessing.
