I've watched two dozen reviews of the Eastman GA's and you are the only one who mentioned the neck profile. I hate a chunky neck. Thank you for pointing that out!

I'm a greedy bugger i have both these guitars love them both but play the 222 more ,its a workhorse the 422 has the looks, the 222 is the knock around guitar 🎸

I've been listening to a bunch of these Eastman guitars, and I'd never paid much attention to ovangkol as a tone wood, but all the 222's have an incredible sound, seems like the best of both worlds between mahogany and rosewood. Shame they don't do a gloss version!

I’ve got the E6 ss ta which is mahogany. The ac422ce rosewood is on the way. However these are becoming rare in the uk 🇬🇧 so I’ve bagged one quick as they’ve started replacing the Rosewood with eucalyptus. Well is sustainable anyways???? Cities coming after Indian rosewood as it’s no 2 on the list. No 1 means prohibition I think. Which means skyrocketing prices for rosewood guitars. But just look !!!!! The eastmans are three times less than other boutique guitars so no problem paying 1299 British pounds. A Taylor was reduced half price to 1299 and it was laminated???? Hhahahahaha. That’s how expensive they are. Martins overseas efforts in the far east are up to 2 grand here, if you want an American one it’s 2500 and up.jezz!!!
Eastman all the way !!!!! All the quality woods and build and third the price. Watch it they are starting to go up, secondhand are holding their price.

I agree. I had a Taylor 114e and sold it to replace it an ac 422. It's an amazing sounding guitar!!

Are they both equally comfortable to play? same playability in chords and solos?
222 has more means right? Like a bigger mahogany, like a bigger AC30 and 422 is like... more Jhon Mayer, less mids, more twin reverb??
I have money for 422 but I like the tone of 222. Are they just as comfortable? Or is 422 more comfortable and playable?

I can't stand the look of matte/satin tops like the 222. Just looks cheap to me. Great guitars though!
