They don’t play SoT for PvP… I don’t know why that is so hard for some to understand. It’s not the game they want to play.
@@fashnek 3 of them were flagged for PvP. Not the Red Flag; the Emissary Flag. Which is a PvP only faction.
What do you mean...
There’s no rule forcing players to fight every ship to be allowed to run the Reaper’s Mark emissary flag. That’s just a convention that you demand on top of the game. If you want people to stop playing their way in the sandbox game, ask the developers to make changes that will force it the way you want.

You said "They don't play for PvP".
And that's fair; I have friends who just PvE vibe. I do it too at times.
But if you're FLAGGING as a PvP FACTION...and you're FIGHTING in PvP instead of trying to flee when you see another ship....you have to accept that'll happen.
Reapers players PREFER to go after emissary flagged ships, as it's what gives them some of the best progression. Failing that, they go for crews they know are carrying a lot of loot.
I'm not demanding anything....all I'm saying is
IF they wanted to PvE....either
A) Don't fly emissary flag
OR
B) At least don't fly the PVP EMISSARY FLAG.
I primarily PvE at present due to a lack of skill/knowledge/confidence in PvP and a lack of coop partners for PvP. But I can semi-hold my own, and I'm damn good at outrunning. I accept running an OoS/GH flag risks a Reaper attack. I accept that every time I go to a shrine/treasury; my ship may get sunk.
Its RISK vs REWARD.
If the game has mechanics that can be exploited then they will be exploited. You can blame the players, but it’s in the game that you can be a non-PvP crew making more money and exclusive emissary ledger rewards by playing Reaper’s Bones. That’s coded into the game directly - unlike the “RB must PvP” rules.

HOW do you stay SO CALM?! I immediately get insane adrenaline and do trash when I even SEE another ship
game experience. more you play, the more you know what to do and stay more calm.
This is me being sketched out on voyages and as soon as I see another ship I start sweating (literally) lol so I've been going into arena solo. I expect to get handed so not as anxious and its actually helping me stay calm during adventure with more pvp experience. Heart still races though lol

Like seriously, get over yourselves. People can play the game however they want. And guess what, it's actually pretty fun getting into large groups, socializing, and having a good time with other people. You sweatlord nerds should try it sometime. Oh and for the record, deceiving people that you're friendly before blowing up their ship and sweating all over a bunch of people who aren't really up to fighting can hardly be considered skill.
I always empathize with players who get dunked on by a really good player, but for an entire fleet to be sunk by one?

7:20 made my blood boil. This game needs serious hit registration work. Skeletons would hit that shot on you every day of the week through the wood, so why were you given no damage at all?

Imagine the absolute S**t show, the torrents of rage and tears if Rare ever makes the blunder do 90-95% of your health in a full blast rather than 100%
I think it would be fair. No other gun can one shot so a 90 blunder would make sense. Just tighten the spread a tad and it would be good
Every pellet is designed to do 10% of your health ; a blunder shoots 10 pellets , THAT is the only reason a point blank is oneshot ; if you miss 1 pellet then they will still have 10% hp left so ; its gonna be hard to change the mechanics of a gun

Honestly I don't mind the blunder damage, I can usually dodge done of the pellets, the issue is the knock back, it can be so disorienting
They really fucking should. Any ping makes it absolutely easy to land a shot that doesn't look like it connects at all. Not talking about a jump-through either, I mean a side shot not aimed at you. Frustrating. Bit of a braindead weapon.

I think the lesson here is that if you do server alliances, you're able to get all the DA stuff without getting even a hint of experience in the game.

Done it on gold and glory weekend and made a tone of money. Since I own almost everything in the game and have very little to do all I just need money for the dark adventurer set and that’s where the server alliances come in. Just need money for it. Great video though and I’ve done this also so you can have experience and also do alliances when you want to make extra money.

The point of the game is playing it. Server alliances are for people who don't even try to get better, just trick their through it. It's a really bad personality trait. If that's your attitude to life, then, what else are you too afraid to tackle head on?
@@Nabium Ive seen one sweat galleon with DA gear, and they sunk our brig once and our fight over a FoF basically ended in a supply stalemate and we got away with equal loot. Every other DA boat ive seen to date is completely clueless

@@Nabium Get over it. It’s a sandbox, your opinions about what other players “experience” are best left inside your mind. These alliance servers don’t hurt a single person’s experience. The only thing hurting fun for others are those times when alliance server players have PvPers join and force them to play a part of the game they’re not interested in. If you are OK with streamers harassing PvE ships for “content” (play MY game now, not yours), then you should be 100% OK with alliance servers, or you’re simply not being honest with yourself.
And not everyone wants the same thing anyway. I think SoT PvP is not worth my time because I don’t find it fun. It is wildly inconsistent, asymmetric, janky, and most of its mechanics are oversimplified. I have over 500 online multiplayer games, I have no need to chase an inferior experience. Sea of Thieves is a social PvE game for me, and there are many others like me. Broaden your perspective a little and be open to people having different brains and backgrounds than yours and enjoying THEIR kind of fun without disrupting others.

This was some righteous work for sure. Doing a server alliance like that so you can avoid pvp is lame and not what the game is about. Blurbs was an avatar of karma that went and dealt with these pve nerds.

I honestly don't have anything against Alliance servers, if people don't like the pvp then so be it. They may make more money but they miss out on a lot of fun experiences, and they are the reason why I play this game

Oh it is. I once was being chased by 5 other boats who were all in an alliance. It was pretty intense but I ended up coming out on top some how.

That map at the beginning, what even. I guess might be the way some groups start server alliances but it just looks so odd.
8:10 Almost certainly that shot hit your rowboat rather than the ship. Makes tanking fire with the stern much more powerful since some shots just effectively don't land, all it costs you is a utility less useful after the first strike.
I appreciate seeing another one of these premade alliances go down. Personally I'm not one to refuse a naturally formed alliance between crews meeting on open sea, but the way these guys do it is not respectful for the game, the developers or the community.

This is why most online games wall off PvPers. They just cannot stay in their lane.
It’s a game where sinking ships and attacking others is literally part of the game. He joined a public server, he can do what he wants on it. It’s part of the game. People can do alliance servers all they want, but it’s not toxic for someone to come sink them. That’s called playing the game as intended

@@terradraca mate, the game is a pirate game. PvP is encouraged by the developers. Every single player, when they log onto high seas, are basically signing a contract stating “I can be sunk at any time by another player.” Alliance servers are no different.
