Clem vs MaxPax is quickly becoming the EU Classico and i'm here for it.
Man, I never get tired of a good old fashioned 2-base blink stalker pressure in the main base. The skill showcase of watching high level Protoss micro using both blink and warp prism micro, while also managing often as not 2 different battle groups and macroing at home, when it's good, it's just so clean looking. With the exception of maybe Dark or Scarlett, I'm pretty much always rooting for Protoss these days, but MaxPax makes it a lot easier.
Leg enhancements was a refit of the Zealot powersuit with new leg actuators, Winter, it's right there in the original manual! Although, in fairness Charge was meant to be a protoss upgrade in StarCraft, but they couldn't get the animation to work right so they gave up.
MaxPax is just a pleasure to watch every time. Thanks Winter!

Why is Clem and Maxpax 2 of my fav players to watch. Especially together?
Because every unit is a hero unit. You rarely see either of them abandon a single unit. They expect a fight to the last breath from every supply worth.

In Game one there were long stretches the tanks were not firing if one had been a tiny bit closer the 3rd would have gone down.

Why don’t we see sentry walls with disrupters to block retreat?
I would guess 2 things : first when disruptors show up, usually the ghost are usually already in play, so emp makes the sentry useless, second also the micro involved.Also by that point i would guess for not much more you can get hightemplars with storm
Why does the widow mine not take damage from zealot and stalkers at about the 41:55 minute mark?
20:10 I always find it weird how Terran will build bases on location when a much safer point is close by.
How much time can you really lose just flying a CC a short distance vs risking the building scv dying?
Not a fan of clem games usually because i dont like watching starting tech for terran melt carriers, but this one was pretty good

I've said this before and I'll say it again -- MaxPax maphacks. He was a fringe top player with creative builds, and all of a sudden catapulted himself into the top 5 protoss in the world. Sorry but that doesn't really happen.
Until I see MaxPax play at this level at a live venue, I'm going to continue to assume he's maphacking.
Thats a huge accusation and you ignore some facts. Fact : he was getting continously better for some time, it didnt happen overnight. Fact: his micro is insane, so his skills is crazy, and you cant blame maphacking.

Acceptable substitute for seige tank removals: Planetary fortress, ghosts, orbital command, cyclones, reapers, BC teleport (like cmon lmao), spider mines and/or stimpack.

Terran gets distracted 0.5 seconds: Loses 30 supply in bio.
Yeah sure, tell that to widow mines, that are invisible and to hundreds of pro games that were lost by Protoss due to early widow mines drops. Or to udodgeable emp that takes away 30-50% of hp
@@firestarter000001 The EMP is as undodgeable as a nova. Its a lot more about distance and harassing than it is about dodging.
Vision range from your base, even if you are THE MOST INCOMPETENT PROTOSS, with no scouting units, is about 800 units in every direction. Even with a boosted medivac you still have like 3-4 seconds between when you see the medivac and when it drops the first mine. Then there's a delay between dropping each mine, Then the mined takes a couple seconds to borrow, then the mined take a couple seconds to fire. About 7-9 seconds if the terran does everything PERFECTLY, boosts his medivac to go in (Meaning it will be harder to escape) and micros perfectly.
If the toss cant react in that time to move away his probes he is just an incompetent player. The only reason mine drops ever work in higher leagues is because at the same time there's 2-4 more fights happening in different places of the map. Which will doesnt happens in lower leagues.
@@benjamindeh873 Emp is as undodgeable as Nova? You high? You literally cant dodge EMP, when nova is dodged all the time. Mass damage from mine drop is avoidable , but you havent got that much time as you describe, if you start pulling the probes when the mines start burrowing you are already to late, you wont get out of range.You got 2 maybe 3 seconds , if the medivac boosts at the right moment. But thats widow mine drop. In a fight widow mines can be waiting invisible and annihilate your units. You alwys see the nova.
@@firestarter000001 Man...some people just dont know how to play or understand basic concepts. Here Ill simplify it for you.
Nova and EMP act on the same concept. If you get close enough to the caster's range without destroying or zoning out the caster, they very likely get you.
The nova has almost twice the movement speed of a marine. Even stimmed marines cant outrun it.
Zoning? You know that word?
And 2 seconds? AHhAHAHahaha do you even... play the game? It takes longer for the mine just to BORROW! X). Forget about everything else.
Now lets assume the most incompetent toss ever with 0 scouting: A probe has 8 sight, and a boosted medivac moves 5 units per second. Thats almost 2 seconds.
As per liquipedia the mine takes 2.14-2.5 seconds to borrow without drilling claws.
Then lets just talk about the first mine to be nice to you. The first mine takes about half a second to drop.
Rounding DOWN to your convenience so far we are at 5 seconds. Oh but there's more.
Now after borrowing, the mine takes 1.07 seconds to acquire a target in range. If the target is still in range after another 1.07 seconds. THEN it fires. The projectile is quite fast, but depending how close the probe is, you still have about half a second to spread them out.
Once again, rounding DOWN thats no less than 7 seconds, just on game/units delays. In this example, we have the most incompetent toss player who couldnt scout nothing, and a perfect terran player which performed multiple precise movements with absolutely no errors or delays, and wasted the boost to get in (Making it EASY for any half competent toss to kill the medivac).
A more realistic terran will take 8-15 seconds to perform the maneuver depending on skill level. Your average ladder hero will probably round around 10. And thats being generous.
If you were half competent and had pylons and/or other scouting units in the right places you get even more than than that.

You are one of those pople who got a thesis "Protoss is easy and Terran is hard and weak" and you wont let facts get in your way, you will just make up arguments "but ofc black is white". He was the one that discovered him on the Ladder and immediately recognized his incredible potential. He was the one that convinced him to strive for greatness; mentoring and encouraging him in the early days. He was the one that (proudly) got proven right, when everybody witnessed how quickly MaxPax managed to make a name for himsef on the EU Pro scene.
For me (at least), Beastyqt's memory still persists on Starcraft 2, and will continue to do so for as long as MaxPax career does. ❤️🩹
