    This was awesome. I've been practicing in the Bujinkan for years. Practiced Zen shiatsu for years. I've never heard it explained exactly this way though. Some of Pauline Sasaki''s (my shiatsu teacher) ideas approached this. And I always thought Hatsumi sensei's way of demonstrating was fascinating, the way he'd react and move, and then just keep walking like he was moving down the street..., it's clear what he's saying. This explanation is even more direct. Thanks so much, Dennis!! Honored to see you speak on the matter.

    Very interesting Dennis! I wonder if Helicular movement is linked to the Greeks? in Clasical sculpture The direction of form was dictated by a "serpentine line' this overuled natural observation too though. given that the Greeks were the most prevalant in Anatomy for about 2,500 years and wondered if here was a link between anatomy and other fields, thinking and aesthetics that they were involved in

    good grief, once that sinks in and gets processed things will make a lot more sense, I'll give it 3 months lol
