Finally! A teriyaki sauce recipe without sake and mirin! Because those two needle of a haystack ingredients are so hard to find where I live. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
@@dorheymon5602 You can definitely replace sake wih rice wine because sake is in fact made out of rice wine. As for mirin, substitute it with water and sugar. The ratio of water and sugar should be 3:1.
Don't waste your money buying teriyaki sauce or time searching for another recipe. This is only one you need. This is simple and easy and so delicious. Making teriyaki shrimp on the grill tonight. Thanks for the recipe.
This recipe is unbelievably simple! Have been making teriyaki sauce by the same recipe since I came across your video almost an year back & everybody Loves it! Thanks a ton! 😊
I've watched countless teriyaki recipe tutorials and yours is my fave. Quick, easy, and not a ton of ingredients. Looks perfect. I'm so going to make this!! Thank you for sharing! 😁 👍
I made this last week it was awesome !! Gonna make double the amount right now to keep extra in the fridge thanks !!!🍻👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much for this simple & helpful video. I tried this and it was a success.. for anyone who doesn’t have minced garlic, a store brand of garlic powder works just fine... I was nervous, but it all worked out! The perfect addition to my homemade stir fry.
Postal, just tried your recipe (without the cornstarch!) and it turned out great. Added flax seeds (just like sesame seeds) to the mix but kept everything else the same. Way to go!
Ive made teriyaki sauce many times, but usually I add a vinegar for the sweet & sour flavor. I made this tonight & it was really good. I already had my protein cooking, wasn't quite sure what I was doing with it when I saw this recipe. I used potato starch instead of cornstarch. And replaced the honey with maple syrup. Was delish!
I would recommend not using as much honey or sugar. They both already add a bunch of sweetness by themselves. If you want less glaze, add less honey. If you want more glaze, add less sugar
I needed Teriyaki Sauce for baked salmon, and all I had was soy sauce. I didn't want to venture😷out, but was craving a replica of an Ocean Prime dish I had in Tampa a few years ago. Your recipe saved the day and was so quick, simple and delicious that my finicky granddaughter raved about the salmon flavor! THANKS!😊🙌
Yes you are right, however sometimes you change the flavours by reducing that much.. with this we want just wanted to simmer for a minute then thicken right away. We did post a honey mustard video were we used your method (no cornstarch) and just relied on the sugars to thicken it. Any recipe ideas you might like to see us make?
I like this Teriyaki sauce recipe the best bc it is all ingredients I have in my kitchen. I only used 1/4 cup white sugar no honey and fresh garlic & ginger. I did use the corn starch bc I love a thick sauce. 1tbs of water to 1tbs of corn starch. It was amazing!!! I keep it in a mason jar and use it over the week.
This recipe was easy & fun!! My daughter started dancing at the smell of the teriyaki sauce . I am a beginner cook , We Love easy simple & delicious recipes and this one was IT! Thanks for sharing💕💕

Just found this video and tried making it in home, first time turned out pretty good Second time turned out better... even If I added a bit more corn starch than I wanted it still was pretty good. A new recipe in my arsenal, thanks

cornstarch is not needed because when you reduce the sauce it will automatically become thick because of the sugar.

The corn starch is basically a faster way to thicken the sauce and it really depends on the recipe of course.
I got more to spread when I use cornstarch! :)
I am not using sugar so you can thicken it up with "corn starch water" it's a mix of corn starch and water. just if you'd like to not use sugar
I used potato starch much better than corn starch
Thank you for sharing the recipe Iv always wondered how to make it using simple ready available ingredients
