    For North East Texas Right now I pay a guy $55 per square (100 sq ft) to remove and replace on any roof up to a 5 or 6/12 pitch that doesn't have a bunch of funky stuff on it like solar panels, or multiple chimneys, etc. So a 27 sq roof would be calculated at around 30 sq because of waste and I'd pay $1650 for labor and around $5000 for materials, including new boots, dumpster, etc. This is an architectural limited lifetime shingle ($105 per sq), not the cheap 3 tab out there. Typically a roofing company will add on an additional $2000 profit onto something like this so while they pay $6800 for everything they'll probably estimate $8500+ and all they're doing is taking measurements, ordering stuff and scheduling out the real roofers to come and do the job. The real roofer will be a crew of 3-4 guys and they'll knock out a roof like that in a day no problem.

    Look, there was a good 23-minute RUclips video I found. Watched it a few times and did my ENTIRE roof myself for 5 grand was quoted 11 grand saved 6 grand. I had my roof inspected after I finished, and it passed without issue. You can do many things now with online info. I'm not paying 11 grand, please...

    The question should be ! How much am I will willing to pay for all that expensive stuff I have in my house to be protected by a new roof! People are happy to spend silly money to sit on a toilet and have a bath or shower! But complain about what keeps them dry all year around .. sort your roof before you make inside a palace..

    "Price per square foot: $5-$10" This is accurate. I just got a quote for $8 per square foot because I have 4 layers of shingles.

    Let’s say you have all the products on hand already and it’s a new build with the decking already in place.
    What would a contractor charge just to install. Let’s go with a square footage of 1156. Thanks

    • @rescuemyroof
      @rescuemyroof  Год назад

      There are quite a few factors that go into the labor costs, pitch, complexity of the roof, flashings, the area you live, etc.. But you should expect a reputable company to charge $2.00 to $4.00 per sq ft for install only.

      Sorry for the late response, it can be difficult. A lot of companies do shut down for the winter, but if it needs to be done Rescue My Roof can make it work. It is of course based on the weather. You can reach us at 262-330-6050 or go to our site and click the Get a Free estimate and we will reach out to you. www.rescue-my-roof.com. Thank You
