looks like the root slayer design. that design is fantastic for isolating and cutting through roots, as well as penetrating rocky ground compared to traditional shovel shapes. I think you have a good shovel there. 👍

Just received and yet to use, however, disappointed that when put together it isn’t a compact and tight fit. Loose, rattle connection.
