I have to relate this story. About an hour ago I was shopping at Whole Foods and this lady came into the store to shop but she had her phone playing music, frankly rather loud but it was such a beautiful gorgeous song. It was the beautiful singing and sound that made me believe it was something from the 40’s or 50’s. So I purposely got close to her and brought up Shazam on my phone to identify the song. It displayed it was “my kind of night” by a Abigail Flowers. Once I got into my car I went to iTunes and downloaded the song and Flowers in Bloom. It was stunning how beautifully melodic your voice is. Im so happy I discovered you and now found your channel. Your voice is just stunning. I wish you would release more songs on iTunes. Such as this one.
Oh my goodness! What an encouragement to me. Thank you so much!! I have one song released that’s sort of in that style-it’s called “Nobody But You”-but I’m currently working on another similar arrangement to hopefully release in the next few months. This has definitely given me some extra motivation to keep working diligently on that. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Abagail I started playing the Baritone a few weeks ago. I've played guitar & banjo for years so learning the Ukulele came easy , but it's so easy to learn and play. I learned your 9 progressions this morning. Looking forward to learning. You're a good teacher, Thanks
Abigail: Thanks for your videos! I have arthritis and some of my fingers don’t bend all the way to put enough pressure on the string. Hence, a muted chord.. Any advice? I do bend my wrist for, say, a D chord , which does help. Thanks so much! I’m loving Blue Skies and started L.O.V.E tonight.
Thank you for the kind words! That’s a great question… I think it can take quite a bit of time for your hand to find the right balance and positioning to give enough pressure without pain. I’ve had some postpartum arthritis and definitely just had to limit my practice sometimes. One thought would be to see a guitar shop about changing the “action” (distance between the strings and the fretboard) on your ukulele. There may be a lower action that works better for you, but the trade off can be that the strings are TOO easy to push down and you hit the wrong note more often… but it’s definitely something to consider!
Good to see you doing videos again. There aren't a lot of resources for baritone players and your videos are top of the line.
Thank you so much! That is so encouraging to me.
Zgadzam się! Twoje filmy są bardzo dobre! Jesteś bardzo dobrym nauczycielem! 👍

Nice singing
Hi. Nice to see you again🎉
Thank you, Abigail. I'm glad you showed us that small fingerpicking pattern. I always feel more comfortable with those rather than strumming.
I haven't touched my Baritone Uke in a while now. Thanks for giving me a reason to pull it back out!!! Always good to see your videos pop up!!!
Aww I’m so happy to hear that-thank you so much!!
I LOVE this song!!! Thank you for sharing this with the bari uku!!!!!
What a pleasant surprise! Welcome back!
Thank you so much! Hoping to get back into it for real!!
Bardzo lubie ten utwór 🥰 Jeszcze nie grałam na tych akordach. Dziękuję za ten filmik. Z Tobą bardzo przyjemnie sie uczy 😊 Pozdrawiam z Polski!
I really enjoyed this lesson, and playing this tune. Thank you for all of your work and effort featuring work for the baritone ukulele.
Hi, I want to subscribe, but I'm only interested in Baritone, is this the right address for me?❤️🎶🎶
Very clear instruction. And I love your new hair style. I'm going to try these later. Right now I'm still tripping on the B7 cord.
So beautiful! This is my son’s favorite song!
This is such a fun song to learn! Have not ventured out on jazz thank you!
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you’re enjoying!
Thank You for this great bariton tutorial! Henri - Belgium
You're so welcome!! Thank you for watching.
I think your work and playing are amazing....How about a baritone tutorial on John Denver's Looking for space, or some Gordon Lightfoot (Sundown?).
Thank you for this lesson for this great, catchy song!
Thank you 🎵🎵
