    My favorite key is G. I have played bluegrass for years and just now learning baritone uke. I like the 1 4 5 cords in the key of G, because that is where my voice is. Thanks

    Being a 3 week noobie to anything uke related - yet coming from bass guitar, i have zero issues for fret finger strength...but we never 'strum' a bass. I am finding strumming the hardest part - great fun regardless. Love your videos - thanks

    My fav was exercise 3 with finger picking. It has a folk song sound.

      Oooh love that idea! Yes, I think the third sounds the most like something I would actually use in a song. Thank you for watching!

      Just tried this with my thumb bouncing between the D and G strings before moving chords (so D string, B string, E string, G string, B string, E string pattern if that makes any sense) and it sounds delicious!

    What is the strum pattern for the bluesy progression? Thanks

    • @AbigailFlowersMusic
      @AbigailFlowersMusic  3 года назад +1

      I just used a D Du uDu, but I switch chords to the sus on the first up strum. This could be called a “push”, when we change chords a half a beat earlier than usual! But feel free to experiment with any strumming patterns you’re already comfortable with!

      Thanks. I thought I heard that pattern while I was listening. I am trying to get better at hearing patterns during the song. You explained the push In another video for yours. Thanks for all your work and sharing with us.
