Mercedes W212 | TAXI - XENTRY Diagnosis & Test Drive (Pt 3)

- Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 E220 9G Tronic 2016 year model. This is a former taxi with 570.000 kilometer. I did the diagnosis with Xentry MB star C4.
The 9 step transmission doing really considering it has running 570.000 km already. The gearbox has been changed two times previously at 12.6639 km and 25.0427 km.
Let me know what you think about this car and especially the test drive!

2:43 Nice acceleration with cold engine :( PS: Maybe bad termostat if the temperature does not rise -> this may damage the DPF
Yess need to change thermostat really soon. Is always this cold 😅
Hey! Try and check your Backup Battery in the Trunk, I had in my model (2013) like 20 fault codes all different because the Backup Battery was faulty, although no error message about the battery being faulty! Hope it helps :)
Had the same problem on my 2014 w212 E220 for over a year. I had Nox sensor bank 2. Tried to delete and drive it again, until adblue fault and "start not possible in 700km" appeared :D I bought 1 sensor from ebay which is almost like new just from factory, but it didn't work, the sensor was not recognized. Then I found out with service shop workers and read online that sensors need to be replaced only in pairs to a new version with the same mercedes part number!The bank 1 and bank 2 are the same sensors ! But even sensor are the same, there all over ebay and mercedes original parts have different new software in them so they car will not recognize if 1 old and 1 new. I got bored about this problem and remaped it with delete of adblue ecu. Now after 1 month it drives ok. I am happy all again with the reliability !

same here. i've deleted all the faults, drive around 20km, and after a kickdown, the nox light fault went back on
Yess mine still runs really good even with NOx issue. But probably need to fix it soon.

Say, do you have an extra small battery? Did you change it? If changed, show the video ..
The transmission looks to be much quicker than 7G tronic, but for some reason the car feels really slow? I assume its 170hp?
Transmission feels really good, but not sure if I could tell any difference from 7G. Yess is 170 HP
It has done 570.000km so its not to fast!

Definitely worth the money! I bought complete setup without laptop for around 500 euro.
After you went out and the engine light came back, I take it you did not have same power at start? The kickdown did not also work. If so, I had the same problem and got the dpf cleaned and replaced the dpf sensor. A year later and I now have similar problem, so I have fair idea this time although I think the wiring is causing the problem to the sensor as it is exposed. I hope to get it sorted in a couple of weeks.
