Finland take on Russia in the bronze medal decider of the women's sailing elliott 6m event at the London 2012 Olympic games.
Sailing was first contested as an Olympic sport at the 1900 Paris Games. Since then, the classes of boats allowed to compete have continually evolved to reflect advances in yacht design and technology. Equipment advances over the past 20 years have created a trend towards smaller and lighter craft, placing ever greater demands on both the athletic and technical capacities of the sailors.

@@tomknight5432 Well I just watched Eneos cross above Luna Rosa by about a foot, both going about 40 knots, in their final race for the win. The American boat came all the way out of the water before going over with the skipper trapped under the main sail. So, I see your point. Cheers!
Dear IOC please have a look at the footage. The sound is occasionally dreadful like for example having two commentaries at once as you have a crowd noise mic on whilst the stadium commentary is on. Also why are you showing us an umpire's flag 3 seconds before a start? It's not relevant and as a result we missed most of the vital pre start (check 42 minutes in)
William Maguire rules are in effect from 4 mins out and that flag was correct being green.
